Deli looked up with a smile expecting to see the one she has been longing for during the past few days but her face widened in shock when her eyes fell on the person in front of the door.
She gasped and reached out, pulling the man in black quickly. “Bro… Brother… What are you doing here? It’d be a shame if someone catches you.”
“Then… I’ll just suck off the soul out of them,” The man in black whom Deli had addressed as her brother spoke in a gruff voice. He lifted his hands to remove the mask on his face and reveal the hideous face underneath it.
“Brother! What are you saying? What are you even doing here? You already came to see me just a few days ago. Do you still have to linger around!?,” Deli whisper-yelled.
“I wouldn’t have to do this if you were capable enough to execute the job faster!” Her brother looked pissed off.
“I was actually impressed that you’d managed to seduce his younger brother but why is it taking so long to get to the main target? Remember… We need Kral not his brother! That old alpha has got more of his subjects to tighten the spell bound to that damn matrix so no matter how we try, we can’t infiltrate his pack,” Deli nodded, listening to him attentively.
“Trying to force our way in makes us lose even more subject so we can only count on him. Find a way to get to Kral through him. It has to be soon! We don’t have much time left,” His words sounded harsh that she had hidden how she was flinching in fear.
She managed to ask him a question without her voice quivering, “But how do you intend on capturing the Kral? According to papa… He’s got demon blood in him.”
“Just focus on executing your own part. Leave the rest to me…,” He trailed off when his tongue shot out of his mouth. It would have been a horrible sight for humans if they were to witness a long yet thin snake-like tongue shooting out of his mouth at a fast rate.
However, Deli didn’t react like it was already natural to her… “Yikes! I have to go back soon. I can’t hold it any longer,” Deli stood up as her brother stood up. The man hid his left hand that was slowly transforming underneath his big, black jacket.
Giving Deli one last look, he walked out.

‘Mr Derrick… I have gone through your offer but I am afraid I cannot release Deli to you. She’s an efficient worker and has been helping me earn much more than I used to,’ Scott read the message slowly with a slightly irked look.
She’d finally reply after so many weeks he sent a message to her. You remember the time… He wanted to buy Deli… Yes… He got the boss’s number and sent a message since the calls always got disconnected.
She’s finally managed to reply and it turns out to be this??? He would never accept defeat… ‘Why?’ he furiously asked as he advanced to the red Lamborghini in front of him.
The chauffeur as usual was waiting patiently for their arrival. Scott gave him directions to the club as soon as he got in and then turned back to his phone.
Deli’s boss sent a message written in a language he didn’t understand. Thankfully… There is a translator app on his phone.
‘Mr Derrick… I already pointed out my reasons earlier. I see no reason to repeat what I wrote boldly earliest,’ Scott almost chuckled. Why did she have to type it in that language then?
‘What do you want?’ he broke one of his rules which is never to ask someone what they want to cause you do not know if what they will ask for is going to be outrageous.
His phone chimed just then and he saw that she sent a laughing emoji. ‘Mr Scott… You do not have what I want. Just forget about it. You can be her exclusive client but that doesn’t mean that I’d ever let her go.’
Scott’s eyebrow rose at this. One particular sentence kept going over and over again in his head so he asked, ‘What do you want?’
There was no reply from her for a while so he kept his phone. By then, the car already stopped in front of the club. He got out and advanced into the club.
Just then, he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He brought it out and read the message, “You don’t have what I want.” That was what she sent to him again.
He furrowed his eyebrows. What does she want?

It wasn’t difficult for Ryan to get to the kitchen since the apartment is pretty similar to his. He walked into the kitchen and saw Lena sitting on the kitchen island, pressing her phone.
He walked into the kitchen quietly and gave her a light cough. She looked up at him and then looked away again.
“Where’s the soup?” He asked her, not knowing how to address her. She just gave him a quick glance and got off the kitchen island without a word.
“Mom had to go somewhere for a while. So as soon as you finish feeding her, you can leave,” Lena informed him before turning around to give him a bowl of steaming soup.
Ryan didn’t even flinch at how hot the soup is cause he didn’t even feel it. He wanted to refuse but then he thought about it. It isn’t appropriate to keep staying here like this.
This might make them a bad impression of him. By then, I mean Mrs Jones and Lena. So he just gave her a curt nod and walked away.
He didn’t realize that Lena was staring at him intently as he walked away. She even soliloquized, “If he isn’t Steve, then who is he?”
‘Sister… Have you been hiding things from me?’ she didn’t say this out loud though.
Ryan placed the soup in the bedside drawer and when he turned around, he was startled to see Emily staring at him quietly.
