For him to be able to book a reservation in this restaurant, he must be a powerful man. The chauffeur helped her out and led her in but he stopped at the entrance.
A waitress came forward to show her the way. As they walked into the inner part of the restaurant, she realized that there was not a single soul in the restaurant.
She couldn’t help wondering what was going on. The waitress stopped in front of a door painted red. She gave the door a light push and told her to go in.
Emily’s eyes shone as she took in the beauty of the room. It looked like the part of a restaurant that’s always set aside as the VVIP area and she is absolutely correct.
Her eyes that were slowly trailing the elegance of the room finally landed on a man that was sitting in the centre of the room. The table was the most decorated one in the room but she didn’t even see that.
Her eyes were solely on him. Steve… Steve is nothing as she imagined. She had actually envisioned him as an old middle-aged man with a pot belly or a young man that would look nervous or shy at first sight.
But the man was nothing like she had thought of. He was like one of those handsome and dazzling billionaires in the harlequin stories she used to read.
He stood up and smiled at her. She had sighed right then and thought for the second time in that week, “Is… Is he even a human?”
First, it was that rude jerk from the elevator and now Steve… If she was asked to choose which of the two is more good-looking, she’d probably lose.
“Hello, Emily… Nice to finally meet you,” His husky tone caressed her ears as he took her hands, bent low and planted kisses on her fingers.
“Emily!! Emily!! Sister! Aren’t you going to work today!?,” Lena’s loud voice coupled with the consecutive knocks on the door brought Emily out of her reverie.
“I’m coming,” She gave a low response and walked to the door. When she swung the door open, Lena was all dressed up. “Sister,” Lena pouted. “I thought you would follow me and mom to the college today. Who knew you would get yourself a job?”
Emily smiled. “Don’t worry… I’ll be there someday. What’s the time?” She asked. Lena glanced at the gold wristwatch around her wrist and gasped.
“Sister! It’s already a few minutes past eight. Are there no rules in that company? When will you…,” The slamming of the door caught Lena short.
She gasped as she watched the closed door. Emily had just slammed the door. She shrugged and called out as she left, “Well… I’m off to college!”
Two doors made sounds that moment. One was the sitting door as Lena walked out and the other was the bathroom door in Emily’s room as the latter rushed in.

Ryan walked to the company entrance hurriedly and found that Chris was indeed standing in front of the company, still waiting for him.
He had thought his cousin was only kidding since the latter liked to play around like Scott.
Nevertheless, he walked toward him and asked as he got there, “Chris, what’s wrong? Why did you suddenly…?” He trailed off when he noticed the other man standing next to Chris.
Unlike Chris, Ryan didn’t even hide his disgust. He even raised his hand up and used his fingers to hold his nose, ceasing air passage.
He took several steps backwards like he couldn’t breathe and asked, “Who the heck is this dirty thing!? Who let him here!? Why aren’t you calling security!?”
Chris looked dumbfounded by his unexpected reaction. Hoffman didn’t even look offended. He even tried to walk to Ryan saying, “Boss, I have something important to tell you.”
“Get away from me!” Ryan shouted, making him stop in his tracks. He almost stumbled on the person behind him.
“Brother, what’s wrong?” Scott sounded worried. Chris and Ryan looked at him. None of them noticed the fearful expression on Hoffman’s face as he looked at Scott neither did they notice the way he walked back in fear.
Ryan released his nose and panted hard for breath first. “Thank goddess, you are here. Get the security right now to come to kick this man out.” He pointed at Hoffman. Scott looked at Hoffman and his eyes widened subtly.
Hoffman was literally cowering in fear under his gaze. Chris walked forward to tell them, “But he said he has something important to say! Let’s hear him first.”
“I don’t care!” Ryan refused stubbornly. “Get him away from here or let Scott talk to him. Get someone to clean this place thoroughly.” He didn’t expect that his OCD is getting worse.
Chris sighed and wanted to go in to get security when Hoffman’s voice stopped him. The few words the man spoke made them all shocked.
“Boss… It’s about the mastermind,” His words gaining their attention.

Emily didn’t even remember to remove the key from her scooter before rushing into the company. She was surprised to see someone mopping the floor and someone else was cleaning the glass doors thoroughly.
But she didn’t have time to dwell on that cause she immediately rushed in. She chanted a little prayer as she walked to the elevator, hoping that Chris isn’t in the office yet.
Just before she entered the elevator, someone stopped her, “Hey miss! What are you doing?”
She was already scared that she might lose her job and now someone is asking a stupid question. This isn’t the right time. But she faced the woman who had called her back and gave her a piece of her mind, “What does it look like I am doing?”
“Entering the elevator?” The woman had a confused look.
“Thank God, you know that,” Emily turned to leave but was once again called back.
“But you aren’t supposed to use that elevator. It’s only and mainly for the bosses,” The woman explained. Her words made Emily pause. What!?
The bosses only. Scott and Chris…? But wait… She met that rude jerk in this elevator. Emily gasped and covered her mouth. Is he also a boss!?
