Ryan gave Chris a meaningful gaze which the latter obviously understood cause he looked away. He looked at Scott, letting the matter go… Just for now.
“Brother!,” Scott cried out as expected and Ryan sighed. Chris chuckled at the helpless look that appeared on his face. “Wait.. Do you even treat me like your brother at all?” Scott asked in his usual aggrieved voice.
“What do you want?” Ryan asked, the anger still evident in his voice. Apparently, he is still feeling pissed off at Chris’s action.
“You took a huge step without even telling me anything,” Scott complained.
“What’s the use? You would still have found out about it at the conference meeting so what is the use of calling you privately and telling you?” Ryan queried, taking a step to his seat.
Scott followed him. “But you told Chris,” Jealousy was evident in his voice when he said this. Chris chuckled. “Just get him a girlfriend, cousin. I bet aunt would be happy,” He suggested, making Scott turn to glare at him.
“You are the one that needs a girlfriend the most. Aunt is always complaining whenever I see her that she is seriously doubting your sexuality,” Scott retorted. His statement made Chris speechless.
His mother said that! Is it because he has never brought a girl home? He had only been afraid that his father might force him to get married to any girl he brings home. That’s why. That’s all!
He made a mental note to tell his mother not to mention all of that in front of his cousins again, especially Scott. “Dummy,” Ryan mumbled quietly. Scott and Chris turned to look at him.
Who is the dummy? The two exchanged glances. Each one’s obviously saying,’ IT’S YOU OF COURSE.’
“This concerns him so why shouldn’t he be aware of it before anyone else?” Ryan’s words were directed to Scott this time around. Chris gave Scott a smug smile at this and turned back to the laptop to continue shuffling through the countless applications.
Scott pouted but he didn’t comment on it. He got his seat and placed beside Ryan. Then he asked slowly, “But brother, don’t you think it was a risky game you played in there? Do you know how many employees we have in the financial team? How could you let all of them go? Other companies would obviously grab them like hotcakes ’cause there are still competent workers among them.”
Ryan turned silent at this. He stroked his chin as he appeared to be in deep thought but the words he said not only stun others, they were completely speechless.
“Why didn’t I think of this before?” He mumbled more to himself. Then he turned to Chris, “It’s simple. When you are through with accepting applications, make sure the previous financial team never get any employment anywhere no matter how they try.”
Scott rubbed his temple at this. He could already feel a headache. This wasn’t what he was talking about. Why can’t this man understand the logic!?
Chris on the other hand gave Scott a hard glare. How could this brat create more jobs for him? He isn’t sure when he is going to finish with these applications and now the brat has given him another workload. Why didn’t he just keep quiet!?
Scott pretended to be oblivious to Chris’s intent stare and immediately tried to get Ryan to reason with him. “Brother… That’s not what I was referring to!”
“Then what are you trying to say!? Let me tell you two. This might be no big deal to you but it is a huge problem to me. Grandfather expects us to carry on with his legacy that’s why he has divided… turned this business into a family business so we can work together to make it succeed. So how are we going to face him if we couldn’t even save the company together!? I intend to take this company to the top and I am almost there. I won’t let this ruin me!” Chris and Scott had nothing to say after Ryan’s long speech.
There was silence for a while and then Scott was the first person to break the silence, “So brother… What are you planning to do now?”
“I will wait for the mastermind to make his first move. I have already done mine. It’s his turn now to either choose to be wise or perish in foolishness. No matter what he tries to do now, I will always be two steps ahead,” Ryan declared.
Scott nodded and smiled… ‘If only you knew…’

Emily was feeling so bored that she did what she has never done in a long time. She walked to the sitting room, sat on of the couches and then took the tv remote. She couldn’t remember the last time she sat in front of the tv like this.
She yawned as she briefly switched channels. Moving from one channel to another. She was just about to settle down with a channel when her fingers mistakenly hit the next button.
She was mortified when the room suddenly filled with lewd sounds. Her face turned flaming red when she looked at the tv screen. She even forgot to react.
Her eyes were just transfixed on the sensual scene going on on the tv. ‘ Jeez! Is that even real!? How can a dick be so big and thick!?,’ she couldn’t help wondering.
Her body turned pink as she watched the lady on the tv screaming like crazy as the man behind her drilled her hard. If her mother and Lena found out that she had watched a type of channel like this today, she’d never be able to raise her face again!
She quickly picked up the remote and checked the name of the channel. As soon as she saw the name, she switched away the channel immediately. She will always remember to avoid that channel in future.
How could they even put that type of channel? What if there were kids in the house!? She tried to focus on the rom-com channel she found but the loud moans of the lady kept on resounding in her ears.
