“Don’t worry… I still have more for you,” Mia assured him and turned around to walk out of the room. “Tch!,” Sam said as soon as she was gone. “The lonely lives of single men.”
He chuckled nervously when the two bachelors he was talking to glared at him. Their frowning faces really looked alike and scary!

“Ten mushrooms…,” Emily ticked the vegetable off her list as she bent down to pick up the veggies she just mentioned. She is unaware that by doing so, she had just drawn the attention of all the single men even engaged ones to the beautiful curve of her backside.
Even Lena didn’t notice this cause she is too busy sucking on an ice cream she had persuaded Emily to buy. The two sisters were causing quite a sensation in the grocery store and they didn’t even realize it.
Some were staring at Emily’s bum while others were focused on Lena’s lips… The way she sucked on the ice cream… The dirty-minded men imagined she was sucking on their c*cks instead.
“Lena, are you going to help me out!?,” Emily asked in an exhausted tone. “You just keep on wasting your money on ice cream and other snacks instead of helping me pick out veggies!”
“Not everyone is a vegetarian like you sister,” Lena mumbled softly. “Huh! What did you say?” Emily turned to ask but Lena immediately put on a huge smile and shook her head sideways hurriedly.
“I didn’t say anything,” She quickly denied cause if Emily heard her, there’ll probably be no dinner for her for days… Yeah, I’m kidding.
“Then come and help me pick out veggies. After that, we can head to the clothing store,” Emily muttered. Lena had to look at her ice cream with a sad look and finish it off quickly instead of enjoying the taste slowly like she planned to do.
Then she obediently followed Emily around the store and soon her hands were filled with shopping bags.
Almost an hour later, she couldn’t bear it anymore so she complained, “Sister! Isn’t that enough? We won’t be able to finish all these foods in the coming months so please let’s take a break now.”
Emily noticed then that she had bought way too many things that it was getting tiring for Lena to carry the bags so she stopped and they headed to the cashier to pay the bills.
That’s when Lena’s phone vibrated. “Emily, please could you take out my phone for me… I can’t do it ’cause my hands are filled and it’s in the back pocket of my pants.”
Emily nodded and took out the phone. She stared at the phone screen that was flashing brightly with a new message notification. She slowly frowned when she read the heading of the message.
“Lena, are you doing online dating?” She asked and Lena choked, the grocery bags almost fell out of her hand. Oh no! She panicked not knowing what to say.
Emily looked up at her curiously, waiting for an answer. ‘Please, I hope she didn’t see anything else, the nervous Lena chanted over and over again in her head like she was chanting the mantra.
“I’m listening… What were you doing at an online dating site? Do you realize you are still a minor? You are barely even eighteen,” Emily didn’t realize that her voice was rising due to the anger she felt.
Lena looked embarrassed as she watched people standing close to them, staring and whispering. “Please, can we talk about this later?” She whispered to Emily, gesturing to all the gossip mongers around them.
Emily suppressed her anger and nodded. She paid the bills quickly and walked out of the store without even heading to the clothing store as she had planned.
She only walked straight to her motorbike and put on a helmet. Lena sighed and walked to the bike. Mounting it, she thought quickly of a brief lie to tell Emily.

“I even tried inviting Chris over but he said he is busy for the weekend,” Mia casually mentioned it in their conversation and she didn’t notice how everywhere turned silent when she said this.
Scott looked at Ryan and smirked when he noticed his hands clenching discreetly. He faced Mia and answered, “Yes… He’s been busy lately and probably has some paperwork to deal with.”
He emphasized on the ‘paperwork’ and watched how Ryan’s hands tightened even more. He was barely able to keep off the smile off his face now.
Sam looked up from his phone feeling like the atmosphere got weird after Mia mentioned Chris but he couldn’t figure out anything. He could only see Ryan sitting quietly like he was listening to the duo’s conversation and he could see Scott answering Mia’s questions.
He shrugged and thought he had only imagined the feeling so he turned back to his phone.
Ryan on the other hand could only think of Chris, the paperwork and the alleged fraud. His hands clenched again when he thought of the fact that someone had obviously tried to frame Chris and had almost succeeded.
The worst part was that the person did it unnoticed. Who would have dared to frame his own cousin in their own company? The person obviously wanted to start a beef between them.
Meanwhile, Scott had entirely different thoughts from Ryan. He believes the reason why Ryan looks so angry is the cause of the fraud accusation thing.
‘Perhaps, things will get more interesting between them now,’ he thought briefly, answering all of Mia’s questions.
By the time, he’d look up at Ryan again, he chuckled softly, seeing that the latter has already fallen asleep. He’s unpredictable.
Just now, he was looking so angry and the next moment, he was already asleep. “Scott… When are you two going to visit aunt?” Mia’s question captured his attention and he looked away from Ryan.
“She called me a few days ago, complaining about you two… Yes… She also asked you to bring your mate along,” Mia continued.
Scott laughed. “What mate?” He remarked. “Did I tell her I have found my mate?”
