After the meeting, only by all of them left, did I walk out in a slow pace.

When the elevator reached B2, I didn’t go out of and press the floor button.

Arriving at the door of the chairman’s office, I knocked on the door, and there was the sound of Yaohui inviting me in. then I pushed the door.
Yaohui smiled at me and told me to have a seat, then he asked me, “Have they left?”
I nodded, “Yes. Why do you want to see me?”
“Shall we have dinner together? Call Leon Hua to come.” He said.
I had said in the meeting that Leon was in Yang City, and now he’s telling me to call him?
Was this a trick, or he already knew that Leon hadn’t left Hai City?
I thought about it and I didn’t want to say any lie. Yaohui had been in charge of Hua’s for many years, a big wig in Hai Cheng. Naturally, he could easily see through us. And if we continued to pretend, Leon and I would be embarrassed then.
“OK, I’ll call him. Mr. Hua, how about I ask him to arrange a dinner for you in our house? Since I married into Hua family, you haven’t even eaten in our house.”

“What did you say?” Xiang thought she had misheard and was hard to believe.
“I said ‘Get out’, Nala and I were talking about something. Don’t you see? Is it right for you to barge in without knocking? Don’t you know the most basic etiquette?” Yaohui shouted.
Xiang looked terrible, “Talking to her? Isn’t it just about Leon’s joining the board? Didn’t I agree? What else is there to talk about? If you want to talk, you should talk to Leon. Why she?”
“Get out!” Yaohui once again pointed at the door and shouted.
Seeing their fight got fiercer, I quickly said, “I’ve remembered everything that you told me, then I’ll leave first, you guys have a nice chat.”
Then I fled out of the conference room. I didn’t want to get involved in a couple’s fight. I was not stupid.
