I just couldn’t stop laughing exaggeratedly when I heard what Moyun Feng said.
Moyun spluttered, “What’s funny? What are you laughing about? You think I won’t tell auntie or auntie can’t do anything about you?”
I controlled myself not to laugh and said, “Mr Feng, something suddenly occurred to me and it made me laugh. My son Alex is in kindergarten and he gets scratched by some other kids every once in a while and he would tell me about it sadly when he gets home. But I always encourage him to be strong because he is a man and need to face things on his own. Now I am a little regretful that he is just a little boy and shouldn’t be considered a man at all.”
“Nala Yao, how dare you humiliate me by comparing me to your son!”
I waved my hand and said, “Mr Feng, please do not humiliate my son, my son has inherited excellent genes from Leon and me, and he’s so bright and talented that you are no match for him! Let’s just focus on the handover and takeover and you need to stop comparing yourself to my son.”
“Nala Yao, we shall see! I won’t forget how you humiliated me today and I will get even for god’s sake or I shall not be Moyun Feng!”
He was not so sophisticated and smart as I have thought, apparently he panicked when I provoked him.
“Oh no, it is your name that makes what you are, if you are not Moyan Feng any more, you’d be nothing.” I laughed.
I was hinting that he had been depending on Xiang Feng to survive and of course he knew what I meant, he got so mad that he raised his hand above my head.
“I have to remind you that Leon Hua’s in the next room, if you want to be violent, then I am afraid you won’t be able to leave this place safely and soundly.” I said coldly.
He put down his hand as I expected, “I won’t argue with a woman! Now, hand over your work to me and get out of this office, since you are not the sales director, you are not qualified to stand here!”
“Alright, Mr Feng, where do we start?” I smiled and felt so good after humiliating him.
“From the project in Yang city.” He was quite blunt with his intentions.
“I’m afraid we can’t. This project is a joint project by several companies and the concerning materials are in Yang city as well. Communications and permission are required if you want to take over the project.”
“I’ll go to Yang city with you tomorrow then. The headquarters have already dispatched the order anyway, so from now on I shall take over all the projects from you.” He roared.
“Alright, as you wish.” I smiled.
I went straight home after I left the office. I would grab this chance to have a good rest since I was suspended.
I called Wenbei Su later that night and told him about me being reported.
Wenbei was calm.
He said he had already learned about it and the materials were sent to the Nanhe Group headquarters as well by someone and he had been required to explain the whole thing, the matter was still being dealt with, according to him.
I apologized for having affected him but he said there’s no need to, he claimed it again that according to the agreement, one thing must be certain that the director should be me, if someone else takes my place, then the Hai City Telecom would be considered to have violate the agreement and the Yang city side can terminate the contract unilaterally.
I said, “Mr Su, I am afraid it would be more troublesome than we expected, as some inner disputes and issues from my company are involved in this matter. Now a new director wants me to hand over everything to him and requires me to take him to Yang city to process it. If I refuse, I don’t know how to explain it to my senior.”
Wenbei said, “Don’t worry, it’s inevitable that there are disputes inside big companies, just bring that man over here.”
I was relieved on hearing his words.
Th next morning, the company assigned a car to send Moyun and me to Yang city to process the handover.
I surely didn’t want to belittle myself by traveling in the same car with someone like Moyun, so I took a high speed train and went to the Yang city by myself.
I arrived earlier than Moyun, so did Wenbei as soon as he got my phone call.
“You don’t have to say anything and just leave everything to me. You can count on me in Yang city.” Wenbei told me directly.
“Ok, thank you.” I smiled.
As we were talking, Moyun arrived.
I introduced the two in good manners, “This is the representative of our partner, Wenbei Su, and this is the new sales director Moyun Feng.”
After hearing Wenbei’s name, Moyun directly show a smile and said, “Mr Su, I have heard you a lot and it’s an honor to meet you.”
He reached out his hand for a handshake, so did Wenbei. I kind of thought there’s no need for Wenbei to be so kind to Moyun, someone like Moyun didn’t deserve his kindness.
“Mr Su, I am the new sales director. Hope we can cooperate pleasantly, by the way, Mrs Hua of the Hai City Hua Group is my auntie.”
How shameless this man was! He couldn’t wait to show off his connections. He could have done better as a man.
The smile on Wenbei’s face disappeared gradually but he remained calm.
“We are so sorry about Nala Yao receiveing kickbacks, so our company has appointed me to take over the last part of the project. Hope we can work well on it.” Moyun said.
“Ok.” Wenbei said calmly.
“then, shall we begin?” Moyun said.
“Mr Feng, I am afraid you can’t take over the job no matter what kind of relative you are of Mrs Hua, as has been agreed clearly in the contract that if Miss Yao no longer serves as the director, we shall terminate the contract, so there’s nothing to be handed over now.” Wenbei’s voice was calm but full of strength.
Wenbei was a well refined young man and in no way would he yell at people, calm words could convey his firmness well in his personality.
Moyun was obviously shocked, “Mr Su, the project needs to continue, after all we Hua Group…”
“Mr Feng, what modern business values most is rules, we have made things quiet clear in the contract, but if you want to violate the contract, then there’s nothing we can do but terminate the cooperation soon and we shall continue the project by ourselves. We can finish the project anyway, and the reason why we cooperate with you is for Miss Nala’s sake, we shall cooperate with no one else but Nala Yao.” Wenbei said.
Of course Moyun wouldn’t give up easily, “Mr Su…”
Wenbei waved hos hand and interrupted him, “I have shown my points of view, no more discussion from now.”
“Mr Su, are you humiliating me or the Hua Group?” Moyun started to impose pressure.
Wenbei smiled, turned around, and asked me, “Miss Yao, can this Mr Feng speak on behalf of the Hua Group? Humiliating him means humiliating the Hua Group?”
I smiled along, “I don’t think so. The CEO of the Hua Group is my father-in-law and he should be the only one that can represent the Hua Group. The only and most important identity of this Mr Feng is The Nephew of Mrs Hua, that’s all. If he claims to represent Mrs Hua, it is reasonable. But can he represent the whole Hua Group? I seriously doubt it.”
Moyun’s looked uneasy, “Nala Yao, you…”
Wenbei interrupted him, “Please go home, Mr Feng. This is in Yang city, whoever is your relative doesn’t make any sense at all here. Miss Yao, let’s go, I have something about work to discuss with you.”
I looked at Moyun smilingly and raised my eyebrows, “Let’s go.”
