Dark Blood Pack
Her head hurts as she slowly opens her eyes. The blurry ceiling welcomes her from her deep sleep of a few hours which feels like many years.
Letting out a throaty groan, she touches her forehead and shut her eyes again. Her head feels blank, and her body feels so tired as though she was whipped.
Seconds slowly tick into minutes, and after another two minutes, she finally forces her eyes open, and this time, she finally gets to see clearly. The ceiling in the room tells her a different story. It doesn’t look like she’s in her room, the ceiling doesn’t also look like that of alpha Damien, and neither does it look like Dean’s, so where the hell is she?
Slowly, she tilts her head to the side, and that’s when it dawns on her that she’s in a somewhat dark room, with incense burning around her. She’s lying on a mat, but it feels like she’s floating in the air. Letting a sharp and terrific gasp tear through her throat, she jerks up to her butt and stares around the place. It now occurs to her that it doesn’t look like she’s inside a room meant for sleeping, but looks like a small temple, or a priest’s room. At least, that’s what it seems to her like.
“Where am I? Anybody there?” She calls out, trying to stand up from the mat, but she feels like there’s an invisible rope tying her down as she can’t move her body. Slowly, the incident of the previous days starts flowing in her head as if it’s just happening, and fear grips her. She gulps down nothing nervously, having a terrific expression on her face. Recalling the woman’s face, and having the imagination of being in her den now, her heart sinks into her stomach.
“You’re awake?” That’s the voice she’ll always recognize even in her deep sleep, it’s the woman’s. Although they have only met once, which was the previous day, her scary voice is what she can never forget, at least not too soon.
She gulps down the sudden lump that formed in her throat. With her heart beating rapidly against her chest, she slowly tilts her head in the direction of the voice, and there she is, staring at her through her long eyelashes. Although the room is somewhat dark, she can still see her clearly. She doesn’t look as scary as she looked the previous day. She’s wearing a long black loose gown, her red hair falling freely over her shoulders, and stopping below her waistline. This wasn’t the color of her hair when she first met her the previous day, it couldn’t be that she dyed the hair, right? That’s not even her problem now. What does she want from her? Why is she after her life?
“Wow! I guessed right. I didn’t expect you to wake up so early, but it’s a good thing you did anyways…” The woman says calmly, her voice sounding like that of a normal person. Maybe she wouldn’t have freaked out the previous day if this was how sweet she sounded.
“What do you want to eat? Do you want to drink blood? Raw meat? Or do you prefer the liver of a deer instead?” The woman speaks softly, hovering slowly around her while having a smirk dancing at the corner of her lips. Cassie feels disgusted by the things she has mentioned, and she wonders if that’s what they actually eat here. She can’t imagine herself drinking blood, even if it’s not from humans. How can she possibly bring herself to eat raw meat? That shit is not healthy for her. And deer’s liver? That sounds disgusting. She’d rather stay for days without eating anything than eat the disgusting things she mentioned. It can never be her.
“Who are you?” She finally asks after a long silence, and the woman chuckles softly.
“Who am I? You’ve got some guts, and I like that already. You know, nobody ever dared to ask me who I am, but now that you ask, I’ll show you who I am,” The woman says with a soft smile playing on her lips. Squatting in front of her, she lets her guise off, and the woman turned to Luna Helga.
“Huh!” Cassie gasps sharply, seeing another stranger squatting in front of her. She stares directly into her dangerous brown eyes that have an invisible fire burning in them, her pointed nose compliments her beauty, her smooth skin is everything beautiful, and her thick black hair is so long and straight. The aura around her is dark and intimidating, but she doesn’t feel scared about this woman like she was with the first one, but instead, she feels something drawing her to this one, she feels her heart warming up to her and for some unknown crazy reason, she feels like she has seen this face before, but she can’t tell where or how they have met.
“So… You were asking a question… Still care to know?” Helga asks softly, as she slowly takes her hand to Cassie’s face, and tucks the strand of hair on her forehead, to the back of her ear.
“What do you want from me?” She asks, and Helga stops abruptly. She sighs softly before she drops her hand off her face.
“So many things… I need you to do something for me. You see…” Helga stops and stands up to her feet, turning her back to face her.
“I learned that your powers are locked… Your father locked it for his selfish reason. I wouldn’t have had any business with that, but I need your powers, so I need to get involved…” Helga stops talking, then turns around to face her, squatting down in front of her.
“We need to find your father, so you can unlock your power and give me what I want…”
“What do you want?” She asks boldly, and Helga smiles slowly and softly.
“That’ll be a secret for now. You have to stay here and enjoy yourself, while I search for your father,” And with that, Helga stands up, then turns around and strides out of the room, leaving her stuck on the mat…
