Paula Rouco has missed a lot of classes due to her injury.
Analeigh was lending her class notes and assignments these days, like Magee and English, which were fine and could be memorized, but she had a real headache reading this advanced math class.
She is usually always playful in advanced math classes, and even though she has a good brain, she can’t keep up after falling behind in so many advanced math classes.
She sat off to the side, looking at the higher math questions and scratching her head.
God, if this keeps up, he’s not going to fail his high school math final.
He didn’t want to make up the exam, which was humiliating and a waste of time.
Severo Laris is sitting off to the side looking at the stock market, with a book in his hand, calculating a bunch of mathematical models, which seem to be highly speculative.
She walked over, looked at him and then at the flowery lines of stocks appearing on his laptop screen and asked, “Severo, do you make money on all the stocks because you’re good at math?”
“Of course there is some relationship, stock finance is all based on advanced mathematics, but not all, although a speculator skilled in advanced mathematics will have a better chance of winning. To be precise, stocks are a big part of knowledge and brains, plus a bit of luck. Mass speculation, however, is usually much more luck.”
Paula Rouco smiled ingratiatingly at him, “Since you’re so good at math, could you … take away Severo’s valuable work time?”
Severo Laris frowned slightly and walked over, one slender arm resting on the chair behind her, looking at her advanced mathematics textbook and asking directly, “Is it that you don’t understand the theory, or are you having trouble solving any of the problems?”
Paula Rouco laughed “heh heh” and bit the end of her pen, embarrassed, “I don’t know much about the subject.”
Severo Laris touched his brow bone and sat a little closer, taking the pen in his hand and pulling out key knowledge and mathematical formulas, asking one by one, “Do you remember all these formulas?”
“Well, remember them.”
“So let’s look at the problem and put this trigonometric formula in …”
Severo Laris was as patient as a teacher and the solutions were easy to understand and Paula Rouco, with her good understanding, was able to get some questions right.
“Severo, you are much easier to teach than our math teacher, no wonder the school officials asked you to teach an open class.”
Severo Laris smiled warmly and rubbed her little head, “Ask the questions, don’t play with them.”
Paula Rouco spent the afternoon making handouts and then memorizing dozens of English words for a great afternoon of study.
After a little over half a month, the burns on Paula Rouco’s legs have finally healed. Luckily, her skin metabolizes quickly and has no scars, so although there are still slight traces of burns on her legs, eventually the skin on her legs will be as white as ever again.
Paula Rouco returned to school after her leg burns healed.
The first class was Advanced Math and her Advanced Math teacher was also a tutor.
After class, the tutor called Paula Rouco: “Paula, wait a minute, I want to talk to you.”
Paula Rouco picked up her backpack and hurried on, “What do you want from me, professor, I have done all the recent handouts and assignments and handed them in to you.”
The tutor laughed and said, “I wasn’t going to talk to you about homework.”
“Is that…?”
“So you really are Severo Laris’ girlfriend, huh?”
The counselor has measured Paula Rouco with a gossipy face and muttered with a smile, “Engracia hasn’t even taken Severo Laris, you’re a great girl, you’ve got balls!”.
The counselor gives Paula Rouco a nod of approval.
Paula Rouco rubbed her neck in embarrassment, was it so unbelievable to be Severo Laris’ girlfriend?
Even the counselor was impressed with her.
With token modesty she said, “It’s really nothing, maybe I’m lucky.”
That he called her a beauty queen with a lot of charm!
The tutor nodded, “I was Severo Laris’ math teacher when he was a student, and this kid is a freak of nature. He’s the best student I’ve ever had in all my years.”
He is. And she knows how good her boyfriend is!
Her heart laughed and she was glad that someone so powerful was now her boyfriend.
The tutor added, “Severo and I consider each other teachers and friends, and he will probably still be my top math teacher. Sometimes I even discuss stock market speculation with him, as well as stock quotes and trends, and his opinions and algorithms are always accurate, precise and powerful. I am sure that, in the future, he will shine.”
“Mentor, we are on the same page.
The other day he called me and told me he was helping a student in our class with a drop, I was shocked and thought he knew a freshman, I asked him who it was and he said Paula Rouco. I was very happy …, I asked her what relationship you had with the young lady, that you were even helping her with the leave. Do you know what she answered me?”.
Paula Rouco is curious and shakes her head.
The counselor said in a low voice as if he were a comedian, “You just said calmly and coldly: “Paula Rouco is my girlfriend, she is injured and hospitalized to ask for a leave of absence, do you grant it to me?”.
“…” Paula Rouco stifled a laugh and could almost imagine Severo Laris’ indifferent look as she said those words.
The tutor sighed lightly, “I used to worry that he would succeed in his studies but not find a girlfriend, but now it seems that there is no need to worry.
Paula Rouco listened patiently to her tutor’s comedy. When she started school, she didn’t realize she was a chatterbox.
It was about ten minutes before Paula Rouco was able to leave.
Paula Rouco had almost descended the stairs when the counselor, still leaning over the stair railing, said downstairs, “When you graduate and get married, be sure to invite me to a wedding banquet.”
“…” she’s only in a relationship, it’s too soon to get married after graduation!
The corners of Paula Rouco’s mouth twitched and her little face burned red, but she opened her mouth to reply, “Understood.”
Then, with school bags on her back, she hurried away.
Paula Rouco has not been back to the shelter for half a month and has just returned to the shelter to pack some of her usual clothes and supplies to take back to the Imperial community.
She is semi-unacquainted with Severo Laris like this.
Anyway, I’ll be going over there a lot and a sleepover is inevitable.
But as soon as she opened her closet, she realized that many items were missing and, after rummaging around for half a day, she couldn’t find them.
It wasn’t until Buena returned to the bedroom from outside that Paula Rouco turned her head and saw Buena in a new sweater she hadn’t worn twice.
Rio and Buena had returned together and greeted Paula Rouco with a smile as soon as they saw her return.
“Paulita you’re finally back, I heard from Analeigh that you got burned, are you okay?”
Paula Rouco said to Rio, “I’m fine, I’m better now.”
“That’s good, last time I told Analeigh that the three of us would go together to see you at the hospital, but you called later to say you were discharged and we didn’t go.”
“That’s okay, it’s not a big injury.”
Buena laughed lightly and said, “You’ve been staying at Severo’s every night for a while now, haven’t you?”
The tone of voice, somber and grimy.
Paula Rouco pursed her lips and said, “That’s my business. buena, that sweater you’re wearing, where did you get it?”.
Buena raised an eyebrow, “Of course I bought it, what’s your problem?”.
