Inside the presidential palace there was a sharp crack of broken china.
The butler and servants were so startled that they all retreated to the door.
“Princess, stop breathing for a moment.”
Gertrude Rolan picked up an antique vase and threw it on the floor, “How can you be angry, I am the best person to be Mr. Edward’s wife! Who is this wild woman, what makes her worthy of Mr. Edward?”
Gertrude Rolan grumbled angrily as she smashed the valuable antiques against the floor one by one.
Those servants were sadly disconsolate that Princess Gertrude, in this casual anger, had smashed several hundred million dollars worth of antiques.
The princess is really capricious with this temperament.
By the time the housekeeper and servants did not know what to do, Erasmus Rolan had returned and, hearing the noise of the smashing upstairs, came up the stairs at a steady pace.
“What’s going on?”
Erasmo Rolan scanned the cluttered floor and frowned solemnly as he questioned the housekeeper and a group of servants standing in front of the door, afraid to enter.
The butler said earnestly, “Mr. President, the princess has smashed I don’t know how many things in the last two days of her absence, and she has been like this in her room throwing tantrums and refusing to eat since she returned from the master’s side. Eduardo.”
Erasmus Rolan pursed his lips without anger, “Come down, all of you, for now.”
“Yes, Mr. President.”
When the butler and the servants left, Erasmo Rolan entered his daughter’s room with a quiet step.
Gertrude Rolan, with her back to him, did not see who was approaching and struck the man who entered with the celadon, which Erasmo Rolan dodged by cocking his head, and fell to the polished, hard marble floor, where he was instantly smashed to pieces.
“Father!”
Gertrude Rolan bit her lip, the anger in her heart fading a little, mixed with a little nervousness that her father would have to teach her again if he saw her in such a capricious state.
Erasmo Rolan paced the pieces on the floor and asked Gertrudis Rolan with a cold face, “Enough smashing already, why don’t you keep smashing?”
Gertrudis Rolan bit her lip harder, her heart heavier from the aggression, her mouth flattened, her eyes reddened, and she ran into Erasmo Rolan’s arms, choking back tears.
“Papa, Senor Eduardo and I grew up as childhood sweethearts, why would a random woman steal Senor Eduardo?”
Erasmo Rolan patted his daughter’s back and said, “Men always like what’s new, Eduardo Tercero is just confused and blinded by that woman, he’ll be with you when the novelty wears off. My daughter, Gertrude Rolan, is the noblest princess in all of R. Only my Gertrude is worthy of Edward the Third, and it is clear who Edward the Third will marry if he is not stupid.”
Gertrudis Rolan remembered how Edward the Third had favored that wild woman, and though she did not want to admit it, she had seen with her own eyes how good Mr. Edward was to that woman named Claudius, whom Mr. Edward had never looked upon so fondly.
Gertrudis Rolan, a little confused, raised her tear-stained little face and asked Erasmo Rolan, “Papa, will Mr.. Eduardo?”
“Gertrudis, here you are asking me if Eduardo Tercero would choose you, or here you are crying and throwing things and getting angry, and all this that you are doing, would Eduardo Tercero know?”
Gertrudis Rolan’s delicate little face, tinged with tears, trembled, “But daddy, I just want Senor. Eduardo and I don’t want to be angry at home, but I can’t help my bad mood.”
“If you love Edward the Third so much, why don’t you go to Edward the Third, the wild woman you think is better than you, as you call her? Aren’t you sure you can take Edward the Third away from her?”
Gertrude Rolan choked out, “No … no … I have nothing to lose with her in terms of looks or my connection to Mr. Edward. Besides, I am the president’s daughter, what is she, a nameless, faceless, wild woman trying to climb into Mrs. Eduardo’s position, who is she?”
Erasmo Rolan patted Gertrudis Rolan on the back and said with relief, “Gertrudis, if you really like Eduardo Tercero, you should go take Eduardo Tercero back, it’s a hundred times better than throwing things here.”
The tears under Gertrudis Rolan’s eyes, dried up and replaced by a determined gleam, the girl clenched her fists tightly, “Papa, I understand. I will make sure Mr. Edward sees that woman for what she is. And I’m sure Mr. Eduardo was only momentarily mistaken for her.”
“My Erasmo Rolan’s daughter is the best, and Papa believes in you and he will.”
…
La Villa Real, late in the afternoon.
Eduardo Tercero was upstairs in his study, working as usual, and Claudio Belles, who had been at La Villa Real for so long, had never left the villa, but at most went out into the courtyard, where he had been observing Eduardo Tercero, getting to know him, learning about his tastes and habits, and trying to send all this information to the Ming organization. He wanted to send all this information to the Ming organization, but the village was full of Eduardo Tercero’s territory and spies, so he could not contact the people of the Ming organization.
So he has to go downtown, where there are a lot of people, and use the public phones, which are the safest.
Claudio Belles went to the entrance of the courtyard and was about to leave when suddenly the alarm sounded loudly throughout the courtyard.
Claudio Belles froze in the doorway and looked back to see the alarm.
Julian quickly ran out of the house and said respectfully to Claudio Belles, “Miss Claudio, you can’t go out.”
“Why?”
Julian: “This … Is what President Eduardo asked for and I … I don’t know why. Why don’t you … ask President Eduardo yourself?”
Not that Julian didn’t know Miss Claudio’s temperament after so many days together. She is a bit like President Eduardo in the sense that she likes to do the opposite when he orders her to.
So Julian doesn’t dare offend her. If he does, President Eduardo will blame him and he will be the one with the bad luck.
Claudio Belles stood in the courtyard, puffed up and looked out the floor-to-ceiling window of the studio on the second floor, burst into the house and ran upstairs to the studio.
Since the last time she had been wounded by a sharp arrow in the study, Edward the Third had entered her face on the white list of the identification bench, so that even if she now inadvertently touched some of the villa’s mechanisms, the sharp objects arranged by them would not launch any attack on her.
But, that didn’t mean that the alarm wouldn’t go off if he escaped the door.
Claudio Belles ran upstairs with a thud and stormed into the study, “President Eduardo, why can’t I go out, even if you picked me up, I don’t have to have any human rights, even the maids can go out to buy food, why not me?”.
Eduardo Tercero continued working, treating her, an unexpected intruder, as if she were nothing, and the man coldly ordered, “Get out, I’m working.”
“…” Claudio Belles clenched his fist, somewhat stubbornly, “I won’t leave until President Eduardo promises to let me out. ”
If not, she will be here all the time and he won’t be able to concentrate on his work.
