In the second half of the night, Dulcina Calvo poked her head out and nodded her head like a hen pecking at rice.
He looked at Claudius Belles in bed, who seemed to be really asleep.
He catapulted out of the tent, running cautiously.
At that moment, Claudio Belles was in bed, eyes closed, mouth curved, so much noise, he really thought he didn’t know.
…
In Esteban Zaragosa’s arms, suddenly, there is a soft teddy bear.
The man’s eyes opened and he saw the little girl who had crawled into his arms.
“Why did you come here, Claudius asleep?”
The girl’s dark, watery eyes stared back at him, “Why don’t you come to me?”
Esteban Zaragosa let out a light laugh, “If you hadn’t left with Claudio tonight, we probably wouldn’t have slept.”
Dulcina Calvo did not respond to the meaning for a moment: “What?”.
Esteban Zaragosa kissed her temple downward and spoke in a husky voice: “If you stayed with me to sleep tonight, you must be tired by now from my tossing and turning. If you’re not sleepy, my dear, I’ll be happy to join you. …”
The man’s long, bony fingers unbuttoned her dress, “I’ve missed you, and I don’t mind physically showing you how much I’ve missed you.”
Dulcina Calvo unconsciously hugged herself, her watery eyes looking at him with some froth: “…”
“What is it?”
“I’m, I’m on my period.”
Esteban Zaragosa frowned slightly and sighed, then took her in his arms, “You were on vacation when we left and now you are on vacation when we meet, next time I will have to check if you are lying.”
Dulcina Calvo blushes a little: “…”
She needs about ten months to get pregnant, she can’t keep lying like this!
But now, she’s not yet ready to tell him she’s pregnant …
I was sleepy, but now that I think about it, suddenly I’m not sleepy anymore.
Dulcina Calvo leaned back in Esteban Zaragosa’s arms, her watery eyes blinking as if in thought, and Esteban Zaragosa looked at her, “Aren’t you sleepy, honey?”
Dulcina Calvo darkened her fingers, “Esteban Zaragosa, you said you loved me and that you could take everything from me, didn’t you?”
Esteban Zaragosa rubbed his little head, “Why are you asking that all of a sudden?”.
Dulcina Calvo snuggled into his arms and wrapped her arms tightly around his warm body, “I just miss you.”
The man’s large hand, stroking the back of the girl’s head, asked in a muted, soft voice, “Did Claudius bully you?”
“No, it’s fine.”
Esteban Zaragosa raised an eyebrow, “Do you really think she’s nice enough?”.
Dulcina Calvo asked, “She is pretty and has a good body, and although she has a bad mouth, she feels like a straight person, Esteban Zaragosa, why didn’t you choose her and choose me?”
“My Dulcina, prettier than she is.”
Dulcina Calvo rushed into Esteban Zaragosa’s arms like a kitten with her little white teeth.
One night, good sleep.
…
Dulcina Calvo woke up at dawn. Esteban Zaragosa felt the person in his arms moving and opened his eyes to see her with the intention of getting up.
“It’s not even dawn yet, what are you doing up so early?”
As Dulcina Calvo roughly dressed, she said, “I snuck into your tent last night, and if Claudio Belles wakes up later and finds me gone, he’ll laugh at me later.”
Esteban Zaragosa lies on the bed with his arm resting on his forehead and can’t help but smile.
Dulcina Calvo frowned, “What are you laughing at?”.
“Laugh at your stupidity.”
Claudio Belles is clearly provoked, and he really believes it.
Dulcina Calvo ignored him, got dressed and ran off to Claudio Belles’ store.
Secretly relieved to see that Claudio Belles was not awake, he leaned against Claudio Belles’ bedside with his clothes.
…
Dulcina Calvo reclines and sleeps soundly without realizing it.
Claudio Belles woke up in the morning to find the girl next to him sleeping deeper than a pig and laughed a little, not expecting her to come running in the wee hours of the morning.
After Claudio Belles left the tent, he ran into Esteban Zaragosa and joked: “Dulcina Calvo is very funny”.
Esteban Zaragosa did not see it as a mockery and, instead, finished off: “That’s right”.
Then Esteban Zaragosa entered Claudio Belles’ tent and took the girl to his tent, where, seeing her sleeping soundly, Esteban Zaragosa took off her quilt and sweater, pulled the quilt next to her and covered her small body with a thick blanket.
Like a kitten, the girl arched into the warmth of the blankets, burying her whole head in them and arching up like a little ball.
Esteban Zaragosa touched her gently with a large hand through the sheets and smiled fondly, “What a bad sleeper.”
…
Dulcina Calvo woke up with a start and found herself in what looked like Esteban Zaragosa’s store.
Strange, did she sleepwalk back on her own?
Dulcina Calvo quickly got out of bed, got dressed and wrapped herself in the comforter before rushing off to look for Esteban Zaragosa, who was nowhere to be seen.
One of the mercenaries, to Dulcina Calvo, said, “Sister-in-law, the chief and the others have gone to the subway river, and the chief has instructed me to keep a good watch on you and not to let you wander.”
“An subway river? Will it be dangerous?”
The mercenary smiled and said, “No, you won’t. Sister-in-law, it’s cold outside, you’d better go back to your tent.”
He was too embarrassed to call Dulcina Calvo his sister-in-law.
Dulcina Calvo returned to her tent and saw the breakfast that Esteban Zaragosa had prepared for her, a bottle of milk, a package of cookies and some chocolates.
With the limited conditions of the place, the only thing that could be eaten was presumably this food they had brought.
Dulcina Calvo bit into the dry cookie and thought about when she would tell Esteban Zaragosa about her pregnancy.
