Third Person’s POV:
“Listen to me carefully, Erica. I am not cheating on my mate because of you. I told you earlier, we had a deal that if my mate arrives, I won’t be with you anymore. I will never break her heart. Stay away from me if you don’t want to see my wrath!” Riven gritted his teeth in anger.
“What is in her that you are so attracted to her? She is average! She doesn’t even look good!” Erica began to shout like a mad woman.
“She is beautiful, Erica! More beautiful than any girl in this entire world! She doesn’t decorate herself like you! And she doesn’t need to!” Riven growled in fury and spoke in an ice cold tone.
Giselle felt like she was in an alternate universe where Riven was defending her in front of Erica. Not only defending, he also attacked Erica.
“Did he eat ice cubes for dinner?” Natalie asked with a chuckle, but Giselle’s complete focus was on Riven.
“You are lying! She is from a poor pack! She has nothing and she isn’t beautiful either!” Erica screamed in anger.
“ERICA! I will forget you are a girl and do something I will regret later if you say another word against my mate!” This time Riven roared and unintentionally used his chilling cold aura on her.
Erica fell silent. She was shocked for a moment. The moment she composed herself, she tried to hit the nerve.
“Was she able to satisfy you in bed? Was she able to pleasure you like I did?” Erica asked and looked directly in Riven’s eyes.
“The amount of pleasure she could give me in ten minutes was more than what you couldn’t do after wasting your energy for hours” was Riven’s direct freezing cold reply.
Giselle felt like her heart was about to explode. She wanted to kiss him at this very moment but she controlled her desire.
Erica’s face turned pale. She didn’t expect such a confident answer from Riven.
“I didn’t come here to insult you, Erica. Just please stay away from me and my mate! We are over! Don’t call me again!” Saying that in a chilling cold voice, Riven left and didn’t even turn around once.
Erica was in so much shock that she didn’t even stop him. So was Giselle, who was also standing in her place.
Natalie grabbed her hand and dragged her towards the pack house.
“I guess we were wrong. Riven was not here to cheat. She fooled him into going there by saying it’s an emergency. He doesn’t show it openly but he has a kind heart, hence he came here to help her” Nate summarized the situation to ease the tension in the air.
“Hmm. I was wrong”, Giselle replied in a low voice and a tear fell on her cheek.
“Why are you crying now? Go to him! Riven must be needing you”, Nate said while dragging her.
“What about you? I remember you called me and told me it’s an emergency”. Giselle asked him to take her brain off of Riven’s matter.
“Yeah, I have to go home” Natalie replied plainly.
“Why? Is everyone okay at home? Should I come with you?” Giselle asked in a concerned tone.
“Everyone is okay and no, there is no need for you to come. It’s just…. there is something I need to tell you about. After you left Arizona, something happened, but worry not, I will tell you about it tomorrow morning. Right now, you need to focus on your relationship with Riven”, Nate replied with an understanding smile.
“Are you dating someone?” Giselle enquired while looking at her suspiciously.
“How do you know?”
