Giselle’s POV:
Him? What is he doing here? After all these years?
I couldn’t believe my eyes. He was there, in front of me at the moment.
Why is he here again?
I was dragged out of my train of thoughts when a brown colored wolf of the same physique as him also jumped along with four to five more wolves.
They began fighting with the foxes, which were already reduced to one third in number after the triplet’s merciless killing.
Some of the foxes took their fox form and I was shocked to see they were ‘Red Foxes’ from the ‘Blood Red Renard clan, the one I heard about only in stories. They were said to be the most powerful clan of foxes and they are blessed with gifts of extra abilities.
They really do exist? The biggest clan of foxes in the world?
Those Red foxes were as big as werewolves. I didn’t know foxes could be this big!
The black wolf and one of the red foxes began to fight. They looked like they had some old rivalry and today, they finally got the chance to kill each other.
The rest of the changed red foxes start fighting with the brown wolf and the wolves which came with him.
My back stiffened when I felt a presence behind me and a hand on my shoulder.
“Giselle!” came the deep husky voice of my mate.
As Stefan suggested, I used my sense of smell to recognize my mate.
When I concentrated on his scent, I was hit by a scent of rich vanilla and I instantly found out whom this scent belongs to!
“Kevin!” I took a deep sigh of relief when my mate was with me.
The comfort and relief spread through me.
I was scared when I saw the bad guys surrounding me. I might be shivering a little too, but my body was calm once he touched me. This is the effect my mates have on me.
I turned around to see a very surprised Kevin. Yay! I guessed right! It was Kevin!
“How..? You..! Are you okay?” He asked in a worried tone.
He looked like he was about to ask something else, most probably ‘How did you manage to recognize me?’, but he changed it to this ‘Are you okay?’
“I am okay. Nothing happened to me!” I replied, hiding the smile which was popping on my lips.
I looked at Stefan, who deserves all the credit. He and Riven resumed their fight with the foxes.
“Are you sure? You look pale! Did they scare you?” His voice filled with concern.
How can I tell him, I was not scared because I was surrounded by a group of deadly foxes but because your own mates were tearing guys apart in front of me!
Sweet little me cannot handle so much blood and broken body parts in a single day!
But guess what did I answer with?
“Yeah, a little” A replied with a small smile.
“Don’t worry, we are here. We won’t let anything happen to you. Stay behind me this time”, he said in a polite tone, and I nodded my head.
I thought he was going back to the fight but I was shocked when he instead wrapped his hands around me and took me in his warm embrace.
“I was so scared! I felt like my heart was about to explode and my soul was going to leave my body when I saw them encircling you. I came as soon as I could”, Kevin said in a tone filled with worry and fear.
“It’s okay, Kevin. They couldn’t hurt me!” I replied in a casual tone to calm him down.
“I won’t leave you alone from now on. Nobody will be able to even scare you!” Kevin groaned. I could feel the guilt and regret in his tone.
I felt an instant comfort due to his words and the way he hugged me. I felt like I was protected and nobody could hurt me.. ever!
“Thank God, you are okay” He tightened his grip around my waist, pushing me more towards his chest.
I felt a soothing sensation in my body due to his warmth. I felt like staying there in his arms like this forever. It felt like home, like I belonged there.. with him.
“Wow! We are the ones fighting here and he is getting all the love and attention!” came a familiar voice which I was trying to avoid so badly.
“Tyler!”
