Giselle’s POV:
Before I could deny it, the door of my room opened and the culprit of the day entered my room with an emotionless face.
“RIVEN!” Stefan and Kevin shouted in unison.
He looked at his brothers and then turned towards me with a face devoid of any emotions and I wondered if he was born this way and Caleb lied to me about him having feelings when he was a kid.
I am also doubtful that he even cried when he was born. I bet he must be just looking at everyone with judgy eyes when he first opened his eyes and saw the world and people around him.
“Giselle, we need to talk” Riven said plainly.
Look at this shameless piece of trash! Does he really think he can order around after what he did with me?
“Stefan, tell this guy to get lost!” I ordered, while turning towards Stefan.
“Me?” Stefan pointed a finger towards himself, baffled.
“Yeah” I replied sternly.
My poor Stefan looked at me and then at Riven confusedly.
“I am standing right in front of you. Why do you need a third person to talk to me?” Riven asked in a frustrated tone.
“Stefan, tell this guy that I don’t want to talk to him!” I groaned; I was still looking at Stefan’s cute, confused expression.
“You heard her”, Stefan replied and shook his head in disappointment.
Riven ignored his brother’s judgy expressions blissfully and turned towards me.
“Giselle, at least talk to me. I will explain everything to you”, Riven said in a concerned tone.
“Like you explained everything to her in private? Now that Erica must have believed you, you are here to fool me? What game are you trying to play? Are you two timing?” I asked in an agitated tone while throwing a pillow at him that he dodged easily.
“What? Are you kidding me?” Riven glared at me angrily.
“Certainly not!” I replied with narrowed eyes.
“I am not doing anything like that, Giselle! I am not that shallow! How can you even think that I am trying to….?” Riven looked at me in disbelief.
The hurt was completely obvious on his face.
Before he could complete his statement, I cut him off immediately, “Get lost before I do something that we all will regret later!”
“What do you mean..?” Riven made another attempt to talk but Kevin interrupted him.
“Riven, leave! She has already tried to reject all of us. We can talk about this when we are all calm and ready to listen to each other”, Kevin replied in a calm tone.
“Kevin is right. You must leave right now. I already told you if she rejects all of us because of you, I will kill you. She almost rejected every one of us just now!!” Stefan growled in anger.
“WHAT!!!” Riven shouted in disbelief.
There was a moment of silence along with shocked expressions on Riven’s always emotionless face.
“You did what, Giselle? You tried to reject all of us? Are you out of your senses?” Riven asked in a disappointed tone.
“So, what do you expect me to do after you hold someone else’s hand in front of me?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“I didn’t… I was… Argh!” Riven groaned in anger. He tried to speak, but then turned around for a moment, passed his hands through his hair and turned towards me again.
“Alright, I accept I did wrong. I am your culprit. Then why did you try to reject these two? Don’t give punishment for my wrong deeds to my brothers, Giselle!” Riven spoke in a low voice and strangely enough, there were emotions in his voice.
“I know I did wrong too, hence, I apologized to them. I am not like you!” I pointed an accusing finger at him.
“I am sorry, I was just trying to explain to her that I have a mate now and I am breaking up with her” Riven spoke in a low voice, but I was not ready to be fooled so soon by him again.
“You could have done it in front of us! Why did you take her away to talk in private then?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Because you looked hurt in her presence”. He spoke with so much emotion that it almost melted my heart.
“Stop lying! You just wanted to have your private time with her”, I reminded myself again while speaking about it.
“You have made up your mind, Giselle. Now, I can’t change it!” He raised his hand in defeat and pointed accusingly at me.
“Sure. You are not going to make efforts as well, because I am not your dear Erica Blossom!” I retorted back at him in anger.
“Giselle..!” He shouted in fury.
He shouted at me for his ex now? Gosh, I have had enough of him now!
“Get the hell out of my room. I don’t want to see your face!” I shouted back while pointing towards the door.
“FINE” Riven growled in rage and stormed out of the room.
“Giselle, calm down!” Stefan said while taking my hands.
“You should have heard his side of the story”, Kevin spoke, while looking at me disappointedly.
What the actual f*ck! Did he just change sides again?
“Oh please, Kevin. Stop taking your brother’s side. You were there when everything happened!” I replied casually, trying my best to calm down my anger.
“Sometimes what we see is not real. We should see things from other people’s perspective. I agree that Riven is rude, arrogant, might be a little sociopath too, but he never lies. You should have heard him”, Kevin said in an understanding tone.
I was not ready to listen to any of them. He can’t just change sides like this! These bloody Triplets!
“Kevin, you have a meeting in the evening. You must leave now to reach there on time”, I said in a stern voice.
“Okay, take care”. He kissed my cheek gently and left.
“I will see them off” Stefan said in a low voice, caressed my cheek and left my room as well.
“Yeah” I replied plainly and closed the door.
…….
Stefan’s POV:
I went towards the parking lot to see Kevin and Riven off.
I knew Riven did wrong but Kevin was right. Riven never lies. That’s the reason people hate him so much, because he always speaks the truth and never tries to flatter anyone.
But Riven should have told this to Giselle first. Urgh! I don’t know what to do anymore. I can just wait for now.
“Call me if you need help with anything and don’t worry, Giselle will be fine soon”, Kevin spoke with a small smile.
“Yeah, take care both of you” I said with a smile.
“You too. Take care of Giselle too”, Kevin replied, smiling, and sat inside the car.
Riven, as usual, just hummed in response and sat inside the car as well.
They left for the office and I sat near the lake. I didn’t want to disturb Giselle. She must need some time to digest what happened today.
For an hour, I just sat dipping my legs on the lake, enjoying the peaceful view, but my heart was not at peace. What happened today was repeating in my head on loop.
Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I didn’t have to turn around to know that it was the hand of my mate, but I didn’t expect her to be calm this soon. Hence, I turned around to confirm if it was really mate.
“Giselle..?” I said, but it sounded more like a question.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” She asked in a confused tone.
It looks like she is not angry anymore.
“Trying to calm my mind”, I replied with a small smile.
“Mind if I join?” She asked with an innocent smile which was enough to melt my heart.
“Of course not. I will be more than happy to spend time with you, beautiful”, I said, flashing my most charming smile to her and giving her a hand to help her sit next to me.
She sat next to me and smiled before saying, “I am really sorry, Stefan. I didn’t mean to reject you and Kevin. I was angry. I overreacted!”
“It’s okay, love. I already told you, I understand”, I smiled back at her.
“Thank you” She said while holding my hand and intertwining our fingers.
“You are always welcome” I replied with a wink while flashing my flirty smile.
“You are such a flirt!” She punched my chest with her other delicate arm and I just chuckled in response.
For a while, we sat just like that, looking at the beautiful scenery in front of us and breathing the fresh air. My mind also began to calm in her presence. She is like a drug and I am addicted to her.
Just when I was thinking about Giselle, a weird thought crossed my mind and my eyes widened.
“Giselle, do you trust me?” I asked, my voice filled with hope.
“Of course, I trust you the most after Caleb”, She replied, smiling, there was a tease hidden in her innocent smile.
“So, Caleb is still on the first position. I am jealous”. I narrowed my eyes at her.
“Come to the point, Stefan”, she replied with an eye roll.
I gathered all the courage before asking her, “Don’t get me wrong, but is it okay if I install a tracking device on your phone?”
“Tracking device? Why?” She asked in astonishment.
“Because I think you will be attacked soon.”
