Emily took a shower and went to bed, but she was still uneasy. How could she suspect that her mother and old madam were related by blood? However, the old madam’s unfinished sentences made her believe that they had a special relationship. The old madam had said so, did she not? “Your mother is my…” It was such a pity that the old madam had an accident before she finished her sentences.

Joe said, “I can’t get hold of your mother’s DNA, but I hacked the hospital system where the old madam was hospitalized. She still has some tissue samples preserved in the hospital.”
“What do you mean?”
“Your mother has gone for so many years. It is very difficult to start with her, but we can start with you.”
Emily froze for a moment before she snapped back to her senses.
“You want me… to use my blood to test against Grandmother’s blood samples?”
“Yes!”
Emily felt that things had fallen into place, and she could finally make perfect sense out of it. That was right. Her mother had passed away for more than ten years, so it would be difficult to verify things that were not kept on record.
However, Emily was still alive. It had not been that long since the old madam’s demise. There was even a lot of information about her in the hospital’s database. If her mother were really the old madam’s daughter, then Emily would be her granddaughter. It made sense to put it that way, did it not?

She was restless. A few moments later, her phone rang again. The crisp ringtone broke the silence of the quiet night, and she almost jumped off the bed in shock. Was it Joe? She picked up the phone immediately and looked at it. When she knew who it was, she was hesitant to answer it.
Manson?
Emily looked at the time; it was one in the morning. It was so late already. Why did he call her at that hour? She finally answered the call. “What’s the matter, Second Young Master Jackson?”
“Emily, I’m outside Sharp Corporation.” Manson’s voice sounded hoarse. “I debated for a long time, but I could not hold back…”
“Can I help you with anything?” He was outside Sharp Corporation at that hour?
“No… Nothing. I just want to tell you that I will turn over a new leaf. I am no longer the person I used to be.”
He sounded humble, a far cry from the arrogant Second Young Master Jackson that she had known to despise. Emily could not understand it. Did he change because Eldest Young Master Jackson had taken over as the CEO of Jackson Corporation, or was it because of his so-called ‘angel’?
“I am pleased that you are willing to change. Although, I don’t think you have not done anything bad before, either.”
Such was the behavior of rich young masters, so it was hard to tell if one was a good or bad person.
At least Manson was a positive and motivated person who took his work seriously and held a certain status and reputation in the business world. His flaw was beautiful women, but it did not matter to Emily. After all, he was not her man.
“No, I wasn’t good enough before, and I did not know how to treat people with sincerity.”
He had waited outside Sharp Corporation for a long time, at least for several hours. After Henry sent Emily back to Sharp Corporation, he told the driver to park the car outside, and he had not left since then.

It was three in the morning when they arrived at the hospital where the old madam had been hospitalized. It was Second Young Master Jackson, and so everyone there tried their best for them. They finally got the blood sample at 3. 20 in the morning.
When they left the hospital, Emily got into Joe’s car without a goodbye to Manson. They had left quickly without him too. It was four in the morning when Emily pricked her finger at another hospital for a blood sample. She was so excited that she felt dizzy.
She would know if she was the old madam’s granddaughter very soon.
When the old madam said that she would confess everything to Old Master Jackson and Eldest Young Master Jackson, was that what she meant? Wendy must have lied to the old madam, was that also what she had wanted to talk about? Could Wendy have faked her identity and pretended to be the old madam’s granddaughter?
