Everyone was utterly dumbfounded. Why did she have to sound so insulting? Who did Emily think she was? A queen? Even Ewan felt embarrassed about the situation and wanted to remind her that they were at Sharp Corporation. If they were back at the WongRiver Pavilion, then Ewan would definitely get someone to chase the girl out. However, they were at someone else’s territory. It was inappropriate and rude to do that.
“Second Young Master, do you know this woman?” Emily, who had been quiet, suddenly said.
Henry shook his head. Emily said, “Well, since she is just some insignificant person, then, let’s go, Second Young Master.”
“Hmm.” Henry nodded as he walked toward the nearby buggy.
The group of people trailed after him, and Wendy and her entourage were left behind. Insignificant person! How dared Emily called her that! The ugly woman was the one who was irrelevant and negligible!
“Didn’t you hear that Hunter had called off the engagement? He even put up an announcement in the paper,” Wendy said with an ugly.
Emily ignored her. Instead, she turned to Sally and said, “We are going to see the new office now. We will be working here from now onward.”
“Here? Really?” Sally and Joe were so excited that they could almost fly.
“If we were to cooperate with Sharp Corporation to set up an animation company, then, yes, we will have to work in Jiang’s Industrial Park. Second Young Master is worried that our poor setup might affect Sharp Corporation’s image.”
“Oh, my God! This is amazing…” It was unbelievable!
The group of people continued to walk away. Wendy was frozen on the spot; she could not accept that she had been ignored. She arrived in Eldest Young Master Jackson’s car, and she was also there with his people. She had arrived like a queen! However, she was left behind like a clown!
“Maybe Second Young Master Sharp did not recognize you just now. Miss Wendy, do wait here for a moment.”
Ewan could see that she was angry, and so he hurriedly chased after Henry.
“Second Young Master Sharp, Miss Wendy, would like to discuss something with you.”
“I don’t remember a young miss from the Jackson family with that name. Furthermore, even if any of the Jackson family’s young misses come to me, I am still not interested.”
Henry did not hate Wendy, but he saw how she had treated Emily.
Emily was a part of his Sharp Corporation, and he would treat those who went against his people as his enemy. He was protective of his subordinates!
Ewan immediately said, “Miss Wendy wants to talk about business and not private matters.”
He knew that men like Second Young Master Sharp hated nettlesome women.
Just like his eldest young master, they hated women who approached them with ulterior motives. However, it was apparent that Miss Wendy only had eyes for Eldest Young Master Jackson. She would not be interested in Second Young Master Sharp; Henry might have overestimated his appeal to women.
“Business?” Henry stopped and looked at Qing Yi. “If it’s business-related, then please ask Eldest Young Master Jackson to come and see me in person.”
“Second Young Master Sharp, I came here on behalf of Hunter. You should know that I am now the closest person to him.”
Wendy walked toward them with graceful steps. She looked elegant and calm after she pulled herself together. The social media had exploded with news about how Emily was dumped, and Wendy had fallen in favor with Eldest Young Master Jackson. It did not seem possible that Second Young Master Sharp had not heard about the news, but Henry did not know a thing about it. He did not even look at Wendy. His eyes were on Ewan as his face darkened.
“I don’t know why Eldest Young Master Jackson made you serve such an unruly woman, but I am disappointed with your behavior today.”
Ewan was his big brother’s best bodyguard, and he had known Henry for more than ten years.
“If you weren’t part of Eldest Young Master Jackson’s team, I would have chased you out by now!”
“Second Young Master Sharp—” Second Young Master Sharp was usually quite easy-going, so Ewan did not know why he sounded so agitated that day.
“How dare you come to my place and want to send my people away?”
Henry’s eyes finally fell on Wendy’s, and he sneered. “What the heck is that?”
Wendy was stunned. She never thought that a man would be so rude to her! He looked so gentle, elegant, and amiable, but how could he say such unpleasant words to her? However, she was not about to give in that easily.
She straightened her back and explained in a deep voice, “I came here on behalf of Jackson Corporation to offer Sharp Corporation a chance to cooperate with us.”
“Miss Wendy…”
Ewan wanted to stop her. She had stepped over the line, but Wendy completely ignored him. She was a representative from Jackson Corporation, and they were stronger than Sharp Corporation! That alone should be enough to convince Sharp Corporation to cooperate with them!
“If Sharp Corporation wants to venture into the animation industry, then, the only partner you should work with is Jackson Corporation. Why would you even look at these paupers who know nothing about the business at all? Do you think they can compare with Jackson Corporation?
“Second Young Master Sharp, let’s be frank. I hate these uncultured lowlives. As long as you send them away now, I can consider cooperation with Sharp Corporation. However, if you are—”
“Get lost!”
Henry turned around and stepped onto the buggy effortlessly.
“You… What is the meaning of this? You are merely the second young master in the Jiang family. How dare you do this to me! Do you know who I am?”
Wendy stomped her feet angrily. “You will regret treating me like this!”
She might not have been that infuriated if Henry treated her like that in a private space. However, he had been rude to her in front of so many people, especially Emily—that bitch!
“Do you think your minuscule Sharp Corporation can fight against Jackson Corporation? Eldest Young Master Jackson only needs to stomp his feet, and Sharp Corporation will be leveled immediately! You—”
“Miss Wendy, let’s head back.” A dozen bodyguards had started to approach them, so Ewan had to stop her quickly.
Wendy had no idea that Eldest Young Master Jackson and Second Young Master Sharp were brothers who had gone through thick and thin together. She had tried to aggravate their brotherhood when she claimed that Sharp Corporation was not as powerful as Jackson Corporation.
Even if Sharp Corporation was not as strong as Jackson Corporation, Eldest Young Master Jackson did not handle Jackson Corporation personally. However, Second Young Master Sharp was the person-in-charge at Sharp Corporation. No one could predict the future, perhaps Sharp Corporation could even catch up and surpass Jackson Corporation in a few years. The Sharps were not that far inferior to the Jackson family.
“What are you doing?” Wendy glared at him fiercely; she even almost slapped him.
If she had not known that Liam was unwilling to submit his loyalty to her at WongRiver Pavilion and Ewan was her only follower, she would have probably landed the slap on his cheek!
“Can’t you see that I was bullied? Not only didn’t you help me, you even helped them to go against me!”
“No, Miss Wendy, why would I bully you? I was only—”
Ewan sighed. He decided that he should hold his tongue. Sometimes words were sharper than a two-edged sword. He could not bear to hurt her.
“Miss Wendy, let’s go, okay? This is someone else’s place, after all!”
“I am with Hunter. There is no place in Bentson that I cannot go!”
However, Wendy got scared when she noticed that more bodyguards had closed in on them. She stared at the buggy that Henry was in and the lowlives in it.
Finally, she gritted her teeth, and angrily said, “Hunter will help me to get even. He will get Sharp Corporation to go bankrupt!”
Then, she stormed off. She was finally gone.
