Liam had no idea what had happened in the room. Why did they summon Peter into the room? Not long after that, the girl that Eldest Young Master Jackson had brought back with her walked out of the room. Liam became even more irritated when he saw her.
Eldest Young Master Jackson had been looking for Young Madam for the past two days, and he thought that the eldest young master had really cared for the young madam. He did not expect his young master to bring a different girl home from the Paradise Island auction. Then he had heard loud moans from the girl inside the young master’s bedroom. It appeared that they had done the deed for an entire night! The young madam had gone missing, and the young master had slept with another girl the whole night!
Liam was upset about that. He had not known her for a long time, but Liam had always acknowledged the young madam as the lady of the household. However, it seemed like the young master had succumbed to temptations when the lady of the house was not around.
He knew that he should not question Eldest Young Master Jackson, but he was really disappointed in him. Emily was restless. Hence, she quickly walked past Liam while she was on her way to her room without a word to him. Coincidently, Liam did not seem too keen to interact with her. She wanted to get away to end the embarrassing moment in Hunter’s room. She dashed toward her room and was about to push the door open to enter into it.
Liam’s unhappy voice echoed from her back. “That is the young madam’s room!” A hulking dark shadow blocked her entry. “No one is allowed to enter this room freely!”
That bloody girl! How would she dare to enter Young Madam’s room just because the eldest young master had favored her good looks! He did not know if the young madam was safe, but he would never allow another woman to tarnish her room.
“Liam.” Emily blinked her eyes in daze.
Emily knew that it was her room, of course. Why did Liam look so strange? Why did he not let her enter her own room? What had happened? When she said his name, Liam’s face turned dark in agitation. That lady had even collected information about the people around the eldest young master; she must have tried so hard to get near to Eldest Young Master Jackson! Did she think she would replace the young madam’s place? What a shameless woman! Liam would never let her succeed!
However, why did her voice sound so familiar? Liam looked at her intently. He took a closer look at her, especially her features, the outline of her face, her eyes, nose, and mouth. Emily’s face dissolved into a hopeless muddle under Liam’s gaze. Finally, she came to her senses and sighed loudly. She pursed her lips and said to Liam in a helpless tone, “It’s me, Liam. I’m Emily.”
“Young Madam!” She was really the young madam!
Oh, God! How did the young madam turn into such a beauty? She looked like a goddess! Most importantly, Young Madam was alive! The eldest young master did not betray the young madam!
“You’re still alive! That’s great!”
Liam was excited to hear that. He was so happy that he lifted Emily into the air and spun her around. Emily was baffled, but she understood Liam’s excitement. She was surprised that a man that she had known for a short period would be so happy to see that she was still alive! She was so overwhelmed by his warm welcome and kindness that she laughed light-heartedly. Her laughter sounded relaxed and genuine.
“Yes. I’m still alive. I came back alive!”
“That’s great!”
That was the third day of her disappearance! Liam had been worried for three whole days, and he could finally take a breather! Eldest Young Master Jackson did not explain anything to him the previous night. When they reached home, he had spent the whole night in his room with the lady from the island. He did not even mention anything about the search for the young madam. Liam had not expected that the girl from the island was the young madam!
The eldest young master did not let him down! Be it work or personal matters, the eldest young master had always shouldered the responsibility reliably. He had never failed to provide a sense of security to the people around him!
“Liam, put me…”
“What are you both doing?” A bone-chilling voice echoed from the far end of the hallway.
What were they doing? Liam elevated his head to have a look. He did not do anything. He had only lifted the young madam and spun her around out of great excitement. Suddenly, he realized that he was holding the young madam.
Oh, dear! That was not intentional! He had hugged Eldest Young Master Jackson’s woman! Did he want trouble in his life? Liam was terrified, and so he let go of her immediately. What would a zero-gravity fall feel like? Well, it was not the first time for Emily to experience that, but it terrified her all the same.
“Argh!” Liam, that bastard! He had lifted her so high up, and then he dropped her without any warning at all. Did he try to kill her?
Liam realized what he had done even before she hit the ground. However, should he risk the eldest young master’s wrath to catch the young madam? After all, that would mean more physical touches between them. However, if he did not try to catch her, then she might be hurt.
Emily almost landed on the ground because of his moment of hesitation. The reassuring shadow zoomed forward in the nick of time. Just as she was about to hit the floor, that person slid his long arms around her and broke her fall with an embrace.
What a good save! She had almost died again! The door was closed, but she could still hear Liam’s trembling voice from the other side of the door. “Eldest Young Master, I didn’t do it on purpose. I was just very excited.”
“I was so happy when I learned that the young madam was alright. I thought that she had sunk into…”
“Shut up!”
“Yes, Eldest Young Master. I’ll shut up, but let me finish what I was going to say. Eldest Young Master, I did not touch Young Madam on purpose. I was just thrilled that she was still alive! I thought that she was dead, I…”
“Go!”
“Yes, Young Master! I’ll leave! I was just so happy…”
Emily covered her mouth and laughed. She never thought that someone from the household would be worried about her. It seemed that someone had genuinely cared for her. Liam even tried to defend her room from another woman. How cute was that?
She received a notification on her mobile phone. She was thankful that she had gotten her mobile phone back. She picked up her phone and saw that it was a message from Liam. [Your friends are worried about you, especially Sally. Text them up to let them know that you are okay.]
Emily remembered that she had disappeared for two days and three nights, so her friends must be anxious about her well-being. She called Sally, and her friend had insisted on visiting her. However, she did not dare to let Sally visit Hunter’s mansion. He was still the arrogant and aloof Eldest Young Master Jackson, even though he had saved her once again, and they had spent the night together. It was best not to invade his territory.
“I’m ok. Don’t worry about me. I’ll come by to see you all later. I am great. Nothing bad happened.”
Eventually, Sally accepted Emily’s persuasion. Before they hung up, she said, “I heard that Amy had been admitted into the asylum. She has gone crazy.”
