Chapter 99 She Must Not Be Allowed to Escape

Book:My Most Precious Wife Published:2024-5-1

Those crazy people had blocked the hotel entrance, and they wanted to catch Emily in the act!
The world had gone crazy!
Someone had posted a live stream of the event, but the hotel staff eventually stopped him.
The people who were at the hotel were students from Jiang University and Ning University, and they had wanted to do all that for Eldest Young Master Jackson.
It was evident that the students held Eldest Young Master Jackson in high regard!
Many of the students idolized Eldest Young Master Jackson. They could not contain their anger after they noticed that Eldest Young Master Jackson’s fiancée went to get a room with some random guy.
Some were there to cause trouble, but most of them were filled with righteous indignation.
Terry stood up with a sour face.
Emily immediately pulled him aside. “Don’t do anything stupid. There are plenty of people outside, and that number will only increase. How many of them do you think you can fight?”
Furthermore, it would be really troublesome if he were to hit someone during such a situation!
More problems would definitely follow that.
“I’ll have a look at the situation.” Joe went out immediately.
It did not take long before he hurried back, though. He barged into the room and said anxiously, “Emily, you have to leave now. There are too many people here, and they’ll force their way in soon.”
The hotel was rather small, so there were probably a limited number of employees, perhaps around three to five people.
Dozens of people had gathered outside, and there were signs that the crowd would swell even more. How could they stop it?
It might already have reached a phase where it was no longer feasible to stop them.
“How could they do this? Does the law even exist for them?” Sally had really wanted to head outside to argue with them.
Terry and Joe had to live at the hotel because they had nowhere else to stay. Why was it such a big deal to stay at the hotel for a couple of days?
Sally and Emily were only there to see their friends and to have a little chit-chat between friends. They did not do any of those dirty things that everyone had suggested!
Those people even wanted to block the entrance to the hotel! Were they really that lawless?
“The law cannot be enforced when everyone is an offender. There are so many people here, so they can’t do anything even if they really want to investigate.”
Emily packed her stuff and carried Sally’s bag in her arms. “Let’s go!”
“Are we really going?” Sally felt upset with that decision.
Was it not a sign of guilt if they were to leave like that?
They were innocent, and they did nothing wrong. Why should they hide?
“Those people won’t talk sensibly with you. If we are trapped here, you’ll hear even more unpleasant words that will be posted on Weibo. It’ll be harder to set the record straight if that happens.”
Emily yanked her and dragged her out the door. “Quick! You’re a woman too. If they can’t kill me, they’ll definitely come for you. Now go!”
Sally did not dare to say anything else, of course. It was not as though she had never experienced the power of those netizens.
She nearly died the last time around!
“I’ll help you both leave!” Joe tried to follow them.
“No, you’ll need to stay here and take care of Terry. Don’t let him get into any fight with anyone. Go back now!”
As for the hotel management, Emily believed that the employees would definitely call the police if a fight were to break out.
She was not in a position to care about all of that.
As long as they were not caught on the spot, and no photos of them ‘getting a room’ were posted, they should be able to escape their wrath.
Once the police arrived, those people would simply disperse!
However, they would need to keep Terry from any foolish actions. Otherwise, it would create even more havoc!
Joe nodded and hurried back to the room.
Terry sat on the chair with a cold expression.
Emily had to escape the hotel and he was powerless to help-all he could do was sit there and wait!
It did not take long for Joe to return to the room. Then, loud footsteps and noises were heard outside their room.
Within two seconds, someone had pounded on their door.
“Emily, open the door! Come on and open it now, you stupid ugly b*tch!”
“No, you can’t give them the time to get dressed. Hurry up and push the door open!”
“Stop, stop, stop! I’ll use the room card, don’t mess around!” The hotel staff’s greatest fear was that the crowd would destroy the hotel facilities.
The staff members quickly realized that the group consists of students. Even if the staff did make a police report, they were not sure if the students could even afford to pay for the damages.
More importantly, the law always sided with students, and they would only be told off for their behavior.
Most of them would not even wait for the admonishment. They would usually slip away before the police arrived.
To put it simply, if the door was damaged, the hotel might not be able to get any compensation for it.
The door opened with a click, and the group of students rushed in.
“Where’s Emily? Come out!” The girls were the first to enter the room.
They rushed to the bed and lifted the blanket. “Come out!”
Terry’s fists clenched, and Joe had to grab his arm immediately.
Terry would definitely get angry if someone badmouthed Emily, but before she left, she had ordered Joe to restrain Terry.
It was unlikely that Terry would do anything to those girls, but if he were to get up and walk toward them, he would scare everyone into thinking that he would hit a woman.
If those photos were posted online, then it would only invite more people to curse and scold them.
Joe held Terry’s arm firmly and shook his head at him.
Emily had told him to have patience and not do anything impulsive!
Terry clenched his fist. Of course, he knew that it was Emily’s order because she was still worried when she left.
He also knew that he would only cause her more problems if he were to act out.
However, they went overboard when they cursed Emily and labeled her a slut!
“The b*tch must be in the bathroom. Everyone, look for her. Find her now!”
Several girls rushed to the bathroom immediately while the others tore up every corner of the room.
If they could find a naked Emily and have everyone take plenty of pictures to post on the Internet, then Emily could never change her social standing again!
How did she get engaged with Eldest Young Master Jackson? How was a person like her even fit for him?
Those girls were in an angered frenzy, and they could not calm down.
Eldest Young Master Jackson was everyone’s Prince Charming and the most attractive man in Bentson. How could he be engaged to Emily?
NO! That should not be allowed to happen!
As long as Emily was alive, the ladies would always feel discontent!
Terry could only sit in the chair and watch as they turned the entire room upside down.
Joe was furious too, as he never expected those people to be so crazy!
He could not fight nor scold them; it was as if things were practically lawless!
It was incredibly hard to imagine that such a thing could happen in that era!
Even though the boys did not do anything, they blocked the door and watched as the liveliness unfolded inside the room.
Eldest Young Master Jackson was their idol, so it was only natural that everyone wanted to do that for him.
Nevertheless, they were not angry about Eldest Young Master Jackson and Emily’s engagement.
It was a different case for the girls, who got really out of control!
All of them blamed Emily. Everything would be fine if Emily had abided by the social norms, but she seemed to have done the exact opposite.
She had gone to a hotel and got a room with the boys! It was utterly unacceptable for a woman to do that!
They were still unable to find Emily even after they had rummaged through every corner. Even her things were absent.
Everyone’s eyes turned red as they glared at Terry.
“Where did Emily go?” They surrounded Terry, even though no one dared to take half a step to approach him.
Coldness enveloped the boy’s body. Everyone was uncertain if they would be beaten to death had they gotten closer to him.
Even though they knew that Terry would not dare to do anything to them, no one had the guts to make the first move.
Someone suddenly shouted, “Emily must’ve heard about us and escaped! Everyone! Hurry up and block the hotel entrance. We must not allow her to escape!”
