EPISODE THIRTY FIVE
TITLE: THEY BROKE THE NEWS TO HER.
“Miscarriage? She was pregnant?”He asked to be sure of what she was saying and Rita only nodded.
He cursed inwardly and turned away from her, He walked to the table and grabbed the ancient cup. He threw it in her direction and ended up crashing on the wall behind her.
“How did she get pregnant without anyone knowing and she was made to do hard labor?!”He roared and charged towards her.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware”She knelt down and burst into another round of tears.
Azazel took deep breaths to calm himself down but it wasn’t helping.
“I mustn’t see you around me for the rest of the month, Including Onida too, I mustn’t see anyone in sight, If I do, I won’t hesitate to slay you, irrespective of who you are”He threatened and pushed her out of the way.
He stormed out of the room in anger to only God knows where.
Adriel who was coming to look for him saw him walking out of his courtyard in anger and assumed Rita broke the news to him already.
“How did Onida get pregnant? How did her womb hold the baby? Azazel can’t make a baby, How did it happen?”He questioned no one in particular.

Azazel didn’t know where he was heading either, He was just walking.
His heart throbbed so much, He didn’t know how to react to the news.
Should he be happy that Onida lost the baby who could have become a monster like him?
Or be angry at Rita for not taking care of her which led to her having a miscarriage?
“Oh, Heavens”He knelt down weakly in the garden and covered his face.
How did this happen?
How did Onida take in?
How?
His mind was troubled, Guilt and regrets filled his heart. He stayed in that position for a long time that he didn’t know it was morning already.
He hoped no one met him in this questionable condition.
Adriel joined him before the sun started rising when no one was in sight and knelt beside him.
“Master…”He shook him and Azazel turned to him.
Adriel’s eyes widened and hugged him immediately.
He was literally not himself again, He wasn’t crying but his eyes held so much emotions that he might break down soon.
“Master..”He called in shock and didn’t let go of him.
Azazel didn’t hug him back, He just let Adriel do it, His eyes hurt so much that they could close soon.
“How did this happen, I can’t bear a child”He whispered and Adriel nodded.
“It was the will of the heavens, You will have another one, And he won’t be a monster, Because you’re not.”He assured him and Azazel only cracked.
“I knew my life will end up in ruins, But I don’t want anyone to suffer my fate again, Life never treated me well ever since my conception, I’d troubled my mother and haunt her in her sleep, She didn’t even see her only child because I killed her, No one will ever suffer the same fate I did”
“You’re not a monster! It wasn’t your fault”Adriel persuaded and Azazel pushed him away carefully.
“Don’t let Onida come near my courtyard again, And Margaret, Take her back to the dungeon, If I see any of them in sight, I won’t hesitate to slash them with my sword”He threatened and walked out of the garden.

Onida woke up in the evening, The men from infirmaries never left her side.
They were all waiting for her to wake up.
“Lady, Are you awake now?”The old doctor questioned and she couldn’t reply.
Her body felt like a log of wood, She couldn’t move her legs or any part of her body.
The pain was so excruciating that she felt like sleeping again but the man shook her softly.
“You can’t slip back into unconsciousness again, You might not wake up”He warned and Onida opened her eyes again.
The man helped her sit down on the floor and made her rest her back on the wall.
“Can you talk?”He asked, touching her hand to feel her pulse and she whispered some inaudible words.
“Glad to know, Your drugs will be here soon, Rita will give you the prescriptions, Make sure you use it and come back to the infirmary three days from now”He instructed and she only nodded.
Her mind was not here, She couldn’t remember what happened to her and how her body got bruised to this extent.
Yuna entered the room with a small bowl containing porridge and knelt beside her hurriedly.
“Are you okay? Can you hear me?”She asked but Onida didn’t say anything.
“What happened?”She managed to inquire and Yuna looked away.
“Nothing really happened, You just missed your way”She stuttered and Onida shook her head.
“Tell me what happened to my body, Was I raped?, And why am I in Rita’s room?”She held her hand and Yuna burst into tears.
She sat beside her and cried painfully, holding her hands.
Rita told her she lost her baby last night because of her negligence. She wished she could help Onida escape from this hell of a castle.
They treated them like an outcast when Azazel left and Onida had a miscarriage because of them.
She hated this place so much, It detests her.
“Tell me what happened, I promise not to overreact”She urged her and tears rolled down her eyes.
The sheets which she lied on earlier were soaked with blood again, Her body withered away in pain, Still, Onida was curious to know what really happened to how and how she ended up in this condition.
“Actually, When I left you yesterday’s afternoon, I came back with some men from the infirmaries to treat you, but I couldn’t find you again. We searched and looked for you, Including the Master..”
“The master, He’s back?”She cut her off and her face lighted up, Yuna nodded and burst into tears again.
She couldn’t bear the fact that Onida got overly attached to Azazel already and the latter didn’t want to see her again.
It hurts so much.
“What happened next?”
“We found you and brought you back, But you were in a bad shape and the men found out that…”She dallied for a while before talking again and Onida held her hand.
“Tell me, I promise to handle it maturely”She assured and Yuna shook her head.
“They found out that you had a miscarriage, You were pregnant, Onida”
