CH 92.
Andrianne woke up early that morning, feeling restless and anxious. She had made the decision to go back to the Lucas Mansion, but she wasn’t sure what to expect. It had been weeks since she left, and she didn’t know if Lucas had moved on or if he was still waiting for her.
After Jackie left for work, Andrianne got dressed and got into her car. She took a deep breath and drove to the mansion. As she approached the gate, her heart started racing. She wondered if Lucas was home, and if he would be happy to see her.
The gate opened, and Andrianne drove in. She parked her car and got out, taking in the familiar surroundings. She walked up to the front door and rang the bell. After a few moments, the door opened, and she was met with the shock of her life.
Emily was standing in the foyer, wearing one of Lucas’s shirts. Her hair was tousled, and she had a satisfied smile on her face.
“Andrianne,” she said, her voice laced with amusement. “What a surprise.”
Andrianne stumbled back, her eyes wide with shock. She felt her world crumbling around her. She couldn’t believe that Emily was in her house, in her bedroom, wearing her man’s shirt.
“What are you doing here?” Andrianne managed to ask, her voice trembling.
“I live here,” Emily said, shrugging. “Lucas asked me to move in.”
Andrianne felt a pang of pain in her chest. She had hoped that Lucas would have been waiting for her, that he would have been happy to see her. But instead, he had moved on with Emily, the woman who had caused so much trouble in their relationship.
“I… I can’t do this,” Andrianne said, shaking her head. “I can’t be here.”
She turned to leave, but Emily stepped in front of her.
“Don’t be dramatic, Andrianne,” Emily said, her voice cold. “Lucas and I are together now. You need to accept that and move on with your life.”
Andrianne felt a surge of anger. How could Emily be so heartless? She had caused so much pain and suffering, and now she was acting as if everything was okay.
“I won’t accept this,” Andrianne said, her voice rising. “I won’t accept that you’re in my house, in my bed, with my man. I won’t accept that you’ve taken over my life.”
Emily just laughed. “Your man?” she said, shaking her head. “Lucas is with me now. You had your chance, Andrianne. You messed it up.”
Andrianne felt a tear roll down her cheek. She couldn’t believe that this was happening. She had lost the man she loved, and she had lost him to the woman who had caused so much pain.
“I can’t stay here,” Andrianne said, turning to leave. “I won’t stay here.”
Emily just shrugged and walked away, leaving Andrianne standing in the foyer, feeling lost and alone. She stumbled out of the mansion and got into her car, driving away as fast as she could.
As she drove, she felt a deep sense of sadness and loss. She had lost Lucas, and she didn’t know how to get him back. She had lost everything she had ever wanted, and she didn’t know how to go on.
Finally, she pulled over to the side of the road and cried. She cried for the loss of her relationship, for the pain that Emily had caused, and for the uncertain future that lay ahead.
Andrianne drove aimlessly, her mind in a state of confusion. She didn’t know where she was going, and she didn’t care. She just needed to get away, to clear her head, and to figure out what to do next. She drove past the town limits and into the countryside, where the roads were quiet and winding, the fields stretching out on either side of her.
As she drove, tears streamed down her face, and she cried out all the hurt and pain that had built up inside her. She thought about Lucas, the man she had loved so deeply, and the betrayal that had shattered her heart. She thought about Emily, the woman who had come between them, and the anger and resentment she felt towards her.
Andrianne took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. She wiped her tears and looked around, realizing that she had no idea where she was. The scenery around her was completely unfamiliar, and she had no idea which direction she had been driving in.
Feeling lost and alone, Andrianne decided to pull over and try to gather her thoughts. She found a small roadside cafe and parked her car in the lot, hoping to find some solace in a warm cup of coffee.
As she entered the cafe, Andrianne was met with the welcoming smell of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of cheerful chatter. She found a quiet corner booth and ordered a latte, hoping to collect her thoughts and come up with a plan.
As she sipped her coffee, Andrianne couldn’t help but think about Lucas and Emily. How could he let her stay in their bedroom? Was he really willing to lose her over this?
