Lareina was stunned. How could Laszlo agree so generously?
Did she ask for too little? She should have asked for one million. Lareina began to regret it, but she had to accept it since she had already said that.
“Cash.” After a few seconds’ hesitations, Lareina decided to get the money first. She preferred the cash because she was afraid that Laszlo might play tricks on the bank card.
“OK. I’ll call someone to send you money now.” Though he disdained Lareina much in his heart, Laszlo still behaved respectfully.
Lareina nodded, and then suddenly warned. “It’s five hundred thousand, not fifty thousand! You can’t trick me.”
Laszlo smiled. “Don’t worry.”
June Brown was hopeless. Lareina was totally immersed in the desire for money. Just five hundred thousand made her so excited.
If Lareina knew her useless son-in-law had bought a villa worth more than three hundred million, she could have been crazy.
Soon, Laszlo called someone to send the cash, and then Lareina counted it in public.
Lareina nodded with satisfaction, and then Laszlo left with Olive after he sightly bowed to Robin Zhou.
“You coward is somehow useful sometimes.” Lareina glanced at Robin. She thought Olive would tear her mouth after she cursed Olive, but on the contrary, Olive was the one who had been slapped, and even Laszlo should pay for money.
Lareina definitely knew that Laszlo changed his attitude because of Robin, a coward who could only do the housework at home.
Of course, it was not because of Robin’s background, indeed. But the luxurious car he had rented to show off today. Lareina thought Laszlo must have noticed the car and thought Robin a big shot, so he chose to keep humble.
Lareina suddenly found that maybe she also should buy a luxurious car, so that no one dared to offend her in the future.
“Robin. How much is this car you rent today if I want to buy it?” Lareina asked. This car was much more awesome than Lamborghini or Ferrari, so its price must be more than five million, as well.
“About twenty-six million.” Robin smiled. He had guessed Lareina’s idea, so he had to tell her the price of Koenigsegg CCXR to stop her silly plan.
“Are you kidding me? How can the price of a car be so f**king high?” Lareina swallowed with shock. She couldn’t believe a car would be worth twenty-six million. That was enough to buy over forty houses in some poor-developed cities.
Robin shrugged. “You can search it on the internet if you don’t believe me.”
Lareina was speechless. Now, it was an age of the internet, in which everyone could search for information by mobile phone, so Robin might not trick her. The car was really so expensive.
But…
“How much to rent it for one day?” Lareina was reminded of another question. She had heard that even renting the Ferrari should cost more than ten thousand per day, so how about the car worth twenty-six million?
“Fifty thousand.” Robin casually said a number. Actually, he also didn’t know about that.
“Fifty thousand?” Lareina found her breath become heavy!
Lareina stopped her silly idea of renting it, as well.
But then she became angry because of Robin’s action.
“You fool! How could you spend so much money to rent a car? Do you think June is a money tree?” Lareina pointed at Robin’s nose as she barked. In her opinion, Robin couldn’t rent the car himself, so the money much have come from Muara. It must have been the money June had taken from the Spring Hill Project!
“Mom! Robin didn’t use my money.” June frowned. The one who used the other’s money was just her, not Robin. But she couldn’t explain this matter to Lareina. She couldn’t tell Lareina that Robin was the successor of Zhou’s Family in City Y, and he kept assets of more than one hundred billion!
“You’re still helping him!” Lareina glared at June and then scolded. “If your grandfather knew you have taken the Spring Hill Project’s money and spent it on this worm, he would never let you be in charge of the project!”
“Mom! I’m already not the one in charge of the project anymore.” June shook her head. Initially, she wanted to ask Marcus why Marcy could appoint Iona to be the vice president, but now she stopped this meaningless intention.
Even if Marcus knew what Marcy had done, he would only slightly, not severely punish Marcy.
As Marcy said, Brown’s family would be his one day.
And June was just an outsider in Marcus’s eyes.
So June thought she had no need to care much about the family’s project. She should get rid of it as soon as possible.
Of course, it was somehow because of Robin, as well. She didn’t know the project was a gift from Robin before, but now she knew.
So she had to stand by Robin’s side.
Since Brown’s family had no enough power to take part in Spring Hill Project. Though Brown’s family would benefit later, the people who had invested in this project would suffer a loss.
June used to think about this matter from Brown’s perspective, so it had nothing to do with her if the investor suffered a loss or not.
But as Robin became the investor, June was also involved. Between Brown’s family and Robin, June finally chose Robin.
She would rather see Brown’s family suffer than see Robin suffer.
The only way to stop Robin’s loss was June wasn’t be in charge of the project. Once June left, Robin would definitely get Brown’s family away from this project, and then gave it to other more powerful families. Thus Robin and those families could win together instead of a loss for Robin.
“You’re not in charge of the project?” Lareina was shocked. She pointed at Robin and roared. “Did your grandfather find your corruption? Did he know you have taken the money from the project to give Robin Zhou?
