Joseph was present when they did the DNA test. It would have been very easy for him to commit fraud as Old Master Garcia had complete trust in him.
“I did have my doubts about you.” Elena’s face was calm as she had no intention to hide her thoughts.
“Then why do you come to me?”
“I want to believe in myself for once.” She smiled and met his gaze. “I believe in my ability to judge a person. Eldest Cousin Brother, I believe in you.”
There was nothing more touching than the phrase ‘I believe in you’. Joseph picked up the teacup again and took a few sips before he put it down gently.
“I do not want to disappoint your trust in me, so I will verify it in the morning.”
Ava and the old master both lived in the same house, so it would not be difficult to get their DNA samples for the test.
“Thank you for telling me and trusting me with all of this.”
“I just feel bad for Grandfather Garcia, and I don’t want him to be hurt. I don’t want Garcia Corporation to fall into the wrong hands.”
Elena used a spoon to stir the sweet dessert soup a few times before she picked up the bowl and tasted it.
“Delicious.”
Indeed, desserts could reassure one’s mood. Perhaps she did not eat much during dinner that night, so she was a little hungry. She finished the entire bowl of sweet dessert soup before she put down the bowl.

“I heard that Grandfather intends to give you five percent of our shares.” Joseph suddenly said.
Elena was taken aback, and she explained hastily, “I will not take advantage of Grandfather Garcia. The shares, I…”
“That was not what I meant.”
Joseph chuckled. He wondered if the room’s heater was too high; he had started to feel warm. He tugged the collar of his robe, and his throat felt inexplicably dry. He picked up the teacup and finished the rest of the tea in one gulp.
He looked at her and said, “Grandfather really likes you. It has nothing to do with whether you are related to him or not. I have never seen him acting like a child. Perhaps, both of you are fated to know each other.”
“If Grandfather insists on it, I hope that you can accept the five percent shares.”
“How can I?” No gains without pains, how could she simply accept the shares?
“Grandfather Garcia is not thinking straight. Five percent of shares is enough for me to spend luxuriously for ten lifetimes.” She would not accept someone else’s money; that was not something she deserved.
“If Grandfather Garcia likes me, I can come and visit him more often.”
As he said, it had nothing to do with blood relations, and it was pure fate.
Suddenly, the room felt as if it had gotten hotter… Elena unconsciously tugged her collar, and there were also little sweat beads on her forehead.
“It’s late. Eldest Cousin Brother, I hope you can deal with this matter as soon as possible.”
The banquet was scheduled for the coming Saturday. If things could not be ascertained before Saturday, Ava would be known to the public as the Garcia family’s granddaughter. By then, everyone in City L would have heard about the news. If they found out later that she was a fake, the Garcia family would be ridiculed, and Garcia Corporation’s share price could be affected.
Joseph understood the situation very well. He nodded and said, “Very well. Grandfather and Ava are probably resting. I won’t go kick up a fuss now, but tomorrow morning, I will check to make things clear. You can rest assured about that.”
He had addressed Ava with her full name, so Elena was moved.
Joseph had believed her.
“Urgh.” Elena stood up. “Then I’ll…”
Before she could finish her sentence, she felt her eyes flickered, and everything in her sight became blurry.
“What’s the matter?” Joseph saw her body wobbled, so he got up to support her. He was not sure why his body felt like it was inflamed once he touched her delicate skin. He felt hot and dizzy!
“Damn it!” Joseph’s face sank! Someone had tricked him! Elena was in the same predicament as he was!
“Elena…”
“It’s hot…” Elena pulled her clothes. Joseph immediately clasped her hand, but she rubbed herself against her body as she struggled. Joseph nearly lost his consciousness as things began to blur. His body was as hot as fire. How could he possibly stand it when there was a girl in his arms?
“Elena, don’t move.”
He wanted to pin her to stop her from her squirms, but he had pulled her closer into an embrace instead. Her soft and delicate body fell into his arms, and she was drowsy and weak. Joseph tried to battle the demon of lust in his heart. He knew that he should let her go, yet his arms tightened unconsciously to bring her into a tighter embrace. Time passed, his consciousness drifted further and further away…
Suddenly, Joseph carried Elena and strode toward the only bed in the room…
Then, someone had kicked the door open with a loud bang.
“Joseph!”
Old Master Garcia was stupefied when he saw the scene in front of him. There were two people on the bed, and the man had pressed down on the girl’s body with their clothes halfway undone. The girl’s shoulders were even exposed.
“Elena?”
Old Master Garcia was taken aback when he saw who was in his grandson’s bed. He hurriedly went to them to cover them with a quilt. One would be surprised at how quickly he had moved! The people by the door were surprised as well!
Joseph frowned. His consciousness had gradually returned. He looked down and saw that Elena had laid beneath him. She was still in a daze, but her large, round eyes grew brighter. He was so startled that he quickly leaped away from her.
He covered her with a quilt and turned to look at the old master with a confused look. “I…”
“Argh!”
Elena became sober! When she knew what had happened, she was so scared that she almost fainted! Old Master Garcia stood by the bed. He did not want anyone else to see her like that, so he used his body to block everyone’s view.
However, Elena could see the other’s expression. One had a smirk on her face, another one was in shock, while another could not respond to the situation. There was one more person, and he had looked indifferent. It was as if he had nothing to do with the scene that played out in front of him. He stood there as if he was a cold-hearted person!
“Eldest Young Master Williams, I’m not…”
Elena wanted to explain, but the moment she met his indifferent sight, she realized that she would not need to explain herself because he did not give a damn about her!
“This… What the hell is going on?”
Lottie walked forward to stare at her son. “Joseph!”
Joseph casually rearranged his clothes. Even though he looked a little messy, his expression was completely calm. He could not say that they were drugged in front of so many people. His family would be in chaos had he said that.
He pursed his lips and glanced at Lottie before he turned to look at the old master. “Sorry, Grandfather, it’s all my fault. I forced Elena to do it.”
