Half an hour later, Second Young Master Sharp got out of his car with a full belly. Elena had already gotten out of the car, and she hurried toward the September Media office building.
The lobby was brightly lit, and as Elena had expected, her friends were still busy with their work. However, the results were far beyond her expectations!
“It’s perfect!” How did they do it in just one night? It looked so much better than her design!
“Well, you were off gallivanting with wild men and didn’t even come back to help!” Layla was the first to complain to her. “I am so tired. You…”
Finally, she got a good look at the ‘wild man’ behind her! Layla’s eyes widened in shock as she stammered, “Bo… Bo… Boss… You… You… Why are you…”
Did Second Young Master Sharp hear what she had said? She said that Elena had gone gallivanting with wild men! However, Elena had arrived at their office with their boss!
Did Elena not go back to the Williams’s mansion? Why was she at the office with Henry at four in the morning? Was there truth to the rumors about their intimate relationship?
“Save it. He’s not even worthy of being my ‘wild man’.” It was after work hours, so there was no need to be formal with the boss. Her remark, however, had scared her friends! She had openly declared that her boss was not fit to be her man. Did she not care about her career in Sharp Corporation?
Henry walked past Elena from behind. He had many opinions on Elena’s remark. However, all those disappeared when he saw the main hall. So what if someone thought he was unworthy, it was not something he cherished anyway.
However, the things he saw in the hall were almost… unimaginable!
“Who planned this?” It was an enormous hall, more than 3000 square meters, and it had been empty in the morning. It looked like they had filled it with various comic posters.
“Elena planned it; we are only executors,” Layla immediately said.
“You planned this?”
The comic posters were no ordinary posters. They had placed a table for food and drinks near each poster too. If one were to connect the posters, they would get a complete storyline.
“This was one of our previous works. We just took it down from the platform, so it’s no longer on the internet.” There might be some pirated copies somewhere, but it was no longer on the main platform.
Even though they had limited work to display, they had designed an exquisite layout for the floor plan. If the guests followed the path, then they would have read the entire comic book when they reached the end of the walkway. It would give the guests a sense of fulfillment.
The 3000 square meters did not feel empty at all.
“I admit that the hall has a literary and artistic feel to it, but it’s just a hall, and it won’t be enough to satisfy the reporters at all.”
Even if the press conference were shortened to one hour, the hall would not take up enough of the guests’ time.
“We will need some help from you too, Boss. You’ll have to lend us a few dozen men tomorrow,” said Elena.
“You can divert manpower from the advertising department, the ceremonial department, and the security department at your discretion.”
“That would be great!” Elena looked around and sighed in relief when she noticed that they had almost completed the decorations.
“Second Young Master Sharp, I have one more request that I hope you can help us with.”
“And what’s that?” It seemed they required a lot more of his help.
Elena approached him and whispered, “Can you lend yourself to me tomorrow?”

Elena and her team worked until five in the morning.
Henry did not know what was wrong with him as he also hung around with them until they were done. Elena had been pretty vague when she said that she needed to borrow him for that day. She only said that she needed him to show up during the event.
It was already past five in the morning when the team drove back to their smaller office that was near to their campus for some hard-earned sleep.
As for Henry, he went home by himself, and he felt so stupid. He had accompanied Elena the entire day, and what did he get out of it? It seemed like there was no answer at all.
A few hours after that, Elena, Layla, as well as Lois, stared at the dark circles around their eyes when they woke up. They freshened up, ate some bread for breakfast, and then headed to the university for their classes.
They only had classes until ten in the morning, and Elena had arranged the interview from ten-thirty to eleven-thirty.
“Do you really want to use the scandal with Second Young Master Sharp to attract more reporters for the interview?”
Elena only told them about her plan that morning, so Layla and Lois only found out about it then.
“And Second Young Master Sharp agreed to this plan?” Why was he so nice?
“He did not agree to anything except to lend me his time.”
Elena smiled mysteriously. She stared at Layla and said, “When the time comes, you’ll need to work harder. I’m counting on you!”
“Me?” Layla froze for a moment, and then she finally understood why Elena only revealed her plan at the very last minute! It was because if she had said anything in advance, Layla would scold her for that dumb plan!
“Elena, you want to use me as bait? No. No. Absolutely not! I don’t even dare to touch his clothes. How can I do this?”
What a huge prank! Elena wanted her to act like she was Second Young Master Sharp’s rumored girlfriend? That was impossible! If things were to blow up, how could she show up in public again?
“What are you afraid of?” Lois thought that it was a brilliant plan. More importantly, it did not involve her, so she could watch from the sidelines!
“Layla, listen to me, our office building is too big and empty, it is impossible to show it all to the reporters.”
“We can only show what is in the main hall, but there is no way we can keep them occupied for a full hour there, right?”
“No…” Layla still protested.
Lois tried to persuade her again, “Yes, yes, that could work. Elena had planned everything. In the morning, Caleb should spread the news that Henry would get engaged soon.”
Of course, Henry needed to be engaged to attract the attention of the media. The reporters would have to report on such a hot topic. Why would they want to interview the animation department then? However, the company had arranged the press conference, and thus they would have to follow through.
The layout of the main hall would give the reporters an idea about the general ‘layout’ of the other floors. It was basically a few offices and a common workspace. Most comics and animation companies were more or less the same, right?
They just lacked time to buy office furniture and decorate the place properly. There was nothing much to see in a comic and animation department anyway.
However, Second Young Master Sharp’s scandal was a different story! It was an extremely valuable piece of news!
“Elena, you’re brilliant to think of this. I’m super impressed!”
Lois gave her a thumbs up, “However, would Second Young Master Sharp agree to this? You did not explain it to him this morning.”
“He’s… a good person.” So he would probably agree to that.
Elena’s cell phone chimed as she received a text message. The smile she had on her face stiffened when she saw the message.
“Elena. It’s urgent. Come to Williams’s mansion! Now!”
That number…Grandmother?
