“You can’t say that.” Layla pouted. “For a boy, it is still a loss.”
Aryan smiled, and it seemed like he had laughed a lot that night. He was very different from the sullen guy that they knew.
Layla got a little closer. “But Nina is so beautiful, and you had a relationship with her in the past… Could you really push her away?”
Aryan did not reply. He just picked up the beer bottle and took two more sips. Elena kicked Layla discreetly under the table. Layla shrugged and did not ask further questions about that. Aryan had been so ruthless, so he had probably let go of the feelings in the past. If he could do what he did earlier that day, then it was nothing to refuse her body.
“I had seen her with other men more than once, and the last time was my last straw.”
Young and ignorant, he was obsessed with the first girl that he had loved. However, Nina had exhausted his infatuation and feelings for her!
“He wanted me this time so that she could win the competition. When she saw me texting Elena personally to quit the team, she was relieved.”
He knew that Nina would not be sincere with him after the competition had ended. Human personalities were usually imprinted from the moment of birth. She would not change. If she had changed at all, she would not approach him at that critical time. He thought that he was still troubled by the past, and he had lived miserably for the past year. However, he realized that he had moved on after the incident. The only thing that he still had was the phobia that Nina gave him.
“From now on, I am free,” Aryan said with a smile on his face.
“Well, let bygones be bygones.”
Elena raised her bottle as her eyes shimmered.
“Cheers to freedom. Let’s live happily and freely in the future!”
…
The flamboyant private room was filled with smoke.
Michael squeezed the tall glass in his hand and tasted the wine he had kept in collection for a long time. He took the sips calmly, neither drinking it too fast nor too slow. It was hard to imagine that he was actually infuriated at that time. Monty glanced at the empty bottles on the table and leaned into Henry.
“Second Brother, what’s going on? Big Brother does not seem too happy to see you today.”
“Really? I don’t think there is any different than usual.” Henry cracked a faint smile, totally indifferent to the situation.
Johnny glanced at Henry. With a flick of his long fingers, the eight dice that he toyed between his fingers returned to the cup neatly.
He scoffed. “I saw the live broadcast today. You and Big Brother were fighting over a woman?”
“You and Big Brother fought for a woman?!” Monty was taken aback momentarily, and then he got excited immediately. “What’s the result?”
Henry had a proud smile on his face, but their big brother was drinking alone. It was apparent who had won.
“Which blind woman would choose you over Big Brother?”
Monty looked at Johnny. “Show me the live broadcast.”
“Am I really that bad?” Henry kicked him. Monty then walked toward Michael with a wine bottle and poured himself a glass.
“It’s not that you are bad. If I were a woman, I would choose you too, really.”
Monty spoke from his heart. The eyes of the man who had been drinking alone lifted slightly. His scarily cold gaze immediately fell onto Monty.
“Big Brother, look, if this is how you are, the woman would definitely choose Second Brother. Who would dare to choose you?”
Monty was fearless that night.
“Women would be scared of you, and so they would choose Second Brother. They would not even dare to utter a word in front of you.”
As for the woman who chose their second brother, was she blind? Or was she looking for trouble?
With a loud snap, Michael slammed the goblet onto the table. He leaned into the sofa, lit a cigarette, and took a puff. His gaze on Monty was as cold as hell.
“Big Brother, don’t try to scare people away like this. A woman that you gain with your fists will never stay true to you.”
Monty slowly shifted to the side. When he was far enough from Michael, only did he dare to wear the provocative smile on his lips.
“Big Brother, it’s true. You don’t know how to please a woman. You have to learn from Second Brother, maybe…”
“They fought for Big Brother’s fiancée, and the girl chose Second Brother.” Johnny dropped the bomb.
Their big brother’s fiancée had chosen their second brother…
There was a pinch in Monty’s throat; he could not even say a single word.
What was that? How could they fight over their big brother’s fiancée?
He looked at Henry, and Henry gave him a big smile. “We were just fighting for the team that she was in, and she chose to work with Sharp Corporation.”
That was too much information. The big brother’s fiancée had a comic team out there, and she chose Sharp Corporation over Williams Corporation. She had chosen another man instead of her fiancé…
Monty found that his voice and mouth were uncoordinated. Eventually, he decided to take out his phone to browse the news. A small campus association, the champion of the comic competition, and Eldest Young Master Williams and Second Young Master Sharp went onto the podium simultaneously. They expressed their interest in cooperating with her. Elena chose Sharp Corporation and rejected Eldest Young Master Williams…
Elena, that was Elena!
Monty finally found his voice. The first sentence that escaped from his mouth was not something he had expected either. “Big Brother, your fiancée is so ugly!”
Snap! The glass broke into pieces where he sat. Even if Monty responded fast enough and could escape from the sudden glass attack, the wine would still spill onto his shirt and stained it. He glanced at Michael sadly and pouted. Alas, he could not even speak the truth.
It was late at night the last time, and it was too far away for him to notice how Miss Garcia had looked like. However, he had seen Elena’s face from the many photos and videos uploaded.
Freckles all over her face… Well, it was a little revolting. How could his big brother choose such an ugly woman? He had shamelessly said that his fiancée was beautiful.
Did he really mean what he had said? Or did he have lousy taste in women?
“She is a pretty girl.” Henry said with a smile as Michael glared at him coldly.
“Big Brother, do you want to sever our brotherhood over a woman?”
That was a joke as Henry knew that their relationship was tight and would not be affected by such trivial matters. He finally got a clear message that his big brother took his relationship with his fiancée seriously.
“Old Master Williams educated the Williams’s children and grandchildren for so many years. Didn’t he emphasize a principle?”
Henry leaned back on the sofa. His usually elegant and gentle face became serious.
“We can spoil a woman but never fall in love with one!”
