Chapter 206 What Is He Doing Here

Book:The Reborn Wife Published:2024-5-1

They heard that the accident occurred not far from Jiang University’s campus the previous night.
Flora was hit.
“I have news that it was Flora who started the fight, but she was the one injured in the end.”
Lois could always get the most updated news. Before the team left for Jiang University, she had already delivered the news to her friends.
“I heard that they were in a fight with Nina’s team. Then, she was hit by a car in an accident.”
“It was an accident?” Someone got hit again! Why were there so many accidents? Layla was not willing to believe it at all.
“It was really an accident. The driver was one of Jiang University’s management, and it was unintentional.”
Lois also wondered if it was an ‘accident’ arranged by Nina. However, it did not make any sense at all. Flora’s Pearl Studio was not a threat to Nina’s team. Since Aryan had decided not to participate, everyone had expected Nina’s team to get the grand prize. Therefore, there was no reason for Nina to attack Flora.
“I heard that it was Flora’s team who started the fight. No one knew for sure what had happened, but only Flora was shoved onto the road in the fight. Then, an oncoming car hit her.”
“How badly was she hurt?” Elena asked.
“She was sent to the hospital, and the Han family heavily guarded her room. I haven’t had a chance to find out more.”
Even the Han family was alarmed. It seemed like the injury was quite serious.
Layla thought about it and suddenly sighed. “It seems like Aryan’s withdrawal from our team may not have been a bad thing after all.”
“Why is it not a bad thing? We’ll lose today.” Lois was discouraged as soon as Aryan’s name was mentioned.
Even though Layla was also disheartened, she knew that she should cheer up and move on.
“At least we are all safe after Aryan quit, right?”
It seemed like only the powerful teams were targeted. Nina’s team was involved in an incident as soon as Aryan joined them. Luacs also said that the people who had trailed them left after Aryan withdrew from their team. That was why they were all safe.
“Forget it. Just count it as a blessing in disguise.”
Elena pushed them out of the door with a smile.
Caleb also forced a faint smile on his face. “Anyway, what else could we do about it? The competition is about to start.”
He was right; the match was about to start. They had to adjust their mood and not compete with a sad face and low spirits.
“But, our lead artist…” Layla looked at Elena. “Do you mean that I’ll be the lead artist today?”
“Do you think we could make it to the top three if you are the lead artist?” Elena glanced at her.
Layla mumbled, “No.”
“So, don’t worry about it. Let’s go.”
Elena was the first to leave. The rest of them could only walk with her as they made their way toward Jiang University.
“You won’t let me be the lead artist, and our team doesn’t have one. What should we do?”
“There is a solution to every problem.”
“The problem is right before us, so where is the solution?” Layla could not understand what was in Elena’s thoughts.
Jiang University was approximately ten minutes away. How could they find a solution within a short period? Did Elena think that a lead artist would appear out of thin air just when the match was about to begin? Or did she think that since it was a team effort today, the other members could bring up the score even if their team had no lead artist? Would that even be possible? Without a lead artist, they would not have a panel composition, and without the panel compositions, no matter how good the storyline was, it was still a soul without a body.
“Let’s go. You’re so noisy.”
Jiang University’s campus remained quiet and peaceful. There were many well-maintained flower beds and plants everywhere. One could feel the fresh breath of spring, the moment one stepped onto the campus ground. They heard the tires screeched as a luxurious car stopped at the outdoor parking lot, not far behind them.
“Flora’s car,” Lois recognized it at a single glance.
Flora? Was she not at the hospital? How could she make it back to the competition?
A bodyguard opened the door ajar and wheeled Flora out of the vehicle. That was right; she was wheeled out of the car. Her leg was injured, and she had to use a wheelchair. Over a dozen of her team members followed Flora, and they went to the stadium in a group. They saw Elena and her friends on their way toward the entrance. Flora waved her hand when their teams met. Flora stared at Elena with an ugly and twisted expression.
“Ugly b*thc, why didn’t you keep Aryan in your team?”
Elena felt like she had stepped on a pile of dog shit barefoot; she was innocent! “How is that my fault?”
“If you aren’t that ugly and scared Aryan away, he would still be in your team. Then, Nina would not be able to win today!”
Flora gritted her teeth and balled her fists as she hoped to deliver a punch onto Elena’s freckled face!
“If it weren’t for you, would that b*tch, Nina, be so arrogant? You are an eyesore like a pile of dog shit! Troublemaker!”
Elena was speechless. Layla and Lois rushed toward her to try and protect Elena.
“Huh! You knew that you can’t beat Nina. Did she ridicule you?”
“That’s right. If you can’t do it yourself, why vent your anger at Elena? Go look for Nina if you dare!”
“She would not have the courage to look for Nina. Look at her leg, isn’t that the price for finding fault with Nina?”
“True. Flora, would you turn around the next time you see Nina?”
“You!” Flora clenched her teeth.
The two bodyguards behind her stepped forward, and they looked like they wanted to pick a fight.
Luacs also took two steps forward nonchalantly. Even though he neither said a word nor wore a fierce expression on his face, his presence exuded an overbearing aura. He could make his opponents feel the threat and power of his fists with just one look.
“This is Jiang University. I won’t find fault with you here.”
Flora waved her hand, and the two bodyguards retreated at once.
She sneered, “Don’t let me see you guys out there in the future.”
“Tsk! You only know how to talk big.”
“Yes, look for Nina if you have the courage.”
Flora gritted her teeth, and then her people wheeled her away.
As they watched the group of people disappear into the stadium, Elena exhaled. “That woman is bat-crazy. We have to be careful when we are out and about next time.”
Nina was still a sensible person. Even though she was cunning, she would never go crazy like Flora. Flora might even bite someone when she was distraught.
Layla and Lois exchanged looks with each other and shrugged their shoulders without another word. Flora was sick! She vented her anger at Elena after a fight with Nina. Was she mad?
“Let’s go in.”
Elena was not in the mood to joke around with anyone. She went straight to the stadium. She seemed to be somewhat confident, yet there was a hint of desolation that gleamed in her eyes. No one knew what was on her mind.
They arrived at the stadium entrance. Before they could enter the venue, there was a loud commotion behind them. They heard people shrieking and gasping as if someone important had arrived.
Elena turned around, and her heart immediately shuddered. It was the final round, why was he there?
