[The story was about how a man inspired a girl and how they got together.]
[In the next scene, there was a small section where the two got along sweetly and pleasantly.]
[Later, someone went to the girl and revealed that she was the long lost young madam of a wealthy family.]
[The girl was brought back to the family, and she learned that the man was the eldest young master of the family.]
[The man’s mother threw a stack of photographs onto the table, and she claimed that the girl had seduced the man. That was improper behavior, and she did not deserve to receive the grandfather’s inheritance.]
[The family decided to abandon the girl. Her grandfather, who was ill, was very disappointed with her too.]
[One night, the girl looked for the man and told him that she would always love him, no matter who he was. However, the man remained unmoved.]
[The girl told him that she would never forget him, even in death.]
[Then the girl left. The man felt as if something was amiss. When he found her, she was already submerged at the bottom of the bathtub.]
[The man quickly took the girl out of the water and removed her clothes to attempt CPR on her. It was at that time that the girl called out for help.]
[Everyone rushed into the bathroom and saw that the man had ripped the girl’s clothes off, and they thought that he did that with ill intent.]
[The grandfather kicked the man out of the house, and the girl inherited most of the family’s wealth.]
[On a similar rainy night, the man stood under the tree as he smoked a cigarette, and the girl appeared with an umbrella.]
[The girl told him that only the weak would rely on schemes in exchange for the things that they desired.]
[She told him that they were both weak.]
At that point in the story, everyone who read the words on the screen felt as if something weighed on their minds. It was apparent that the male protagonist had fallen in love with the girl. Otherwise, he would not have fallen into her trap.
It seemed like the story was about to end.
The spectators sighed. However, Elena’s slender fingers continued to type on the keyboard.
[A car sped toward them. The man stared at the car behind the girl with a somber expression.]
[Just as the car was about to hit the girl, the man rushed toward her and rescued her instead.]
[Raindrops fell onto the man’s head and drenched his short hair. He smiled bitterly as he said, “I’ve lost.”]
[The girl stroked his face, smiled, and said, “Yes, you’ve lost.”]
[The man let go of the girl and turned to leave.]
[A sharp ear-splitting screeching sound was heard, and the man turned back to look. The girl’s body had fallen like the leaves in the wind. Her body was covered in blood.]
[The rain subsided. Leaves continued to flutter in the wind.]
[Supporting text: There was no winner or loser in this game.
The only thing that I could do when you loved me the most, was to provoke you with my life.]
No one had expected to be so engrossed in the story that they would long for the next word to appear on a screen.
No one expected to feel sadness, heartache, and felt as if they were asphyxiated from a live broadcast of a story that had been written on the spot.
There was no winner in that game because they were siblings and also because they were in love.
The two of them had been destined to lose from the start.
That last plot might have been the only chance for the man to restore himself, but he let it slip by him.
He had lost everything when he saved the girl.
However, the girl also got what she had longed for the most at that moment.
His love, even though it was cruel love. Their love was destined to be flawed.
Thus, her life was complete.
She made him whole, but she also provoked him.
It was he who gave her the world, but it was also him who destroyed her everything.
From the moment she fell in love with her brother, she had already lost her life. She was only a walking corpse.
She had lost the will to live a long time ago…
From a random corner of the spectators’ area, a random girl sobbed at how the story had progressed.
No one uttered a sound, as they watched Elena clicked the ‘Finish’ button. She collected her keyboard and then left her seat.
She was the last to start, and yet, from the moment her fingers touched the keyboard to the end of the story, it had only been about 20 minutes.
She was the first to finish and hand in her script!
None of them had even shaken off their gloominess before they were shocked, yet again, by her speed.
The reason for her slow start was that she wanted to finish the story in her head before she started to type.
After she had managed to complete the story in her head, she could then write it in one go, without any need for a pause.
The host was stupefied for a moment, then he hurriedly picked up the microphone and said, “The first contestant has handed in her work. The rest of you will have to buck up.”
The other teams started to panic.
They were aware that speed also affected their score.
The first contestant to hand in their work would get extra points, but from the sixth place onward, they would incur a deduction from their scores.
Suddenly, the atmosphere in the arena turned tense again.
Nevertheless, it was none of Elena’s concern. She had left the arena without even a glance backward.
That girl did not even spare him a single glance…
Henry turned and stared at the direction that she had gone to, and his thin lips pursed slightly.
His assistant, Ashton, immediately said, “Second Young Master, this team seems to be a club from Ning University’s professional design class of year eighteen, called… The September club.”
“Hmm.” Henry nodded and retracted his gaze.
The person who sat next to him was the Williams Corporation’s representative, Ava.
Ava put on her most perfect face and smiled at Henry. “That script was meticulous, but is the storyline not too complicated?”
Henry remained silent, and Ava continued, “From the storyline to the final draft, they would still need a pencil sketch, and then, inking and coloring.”
“If the storyline is too complicated, they would encounter many difficulties during the pencil sketches. This editor-in-chief is good at writing, but it does not seem like she considered the state of her other teammates.”
Ava’s assistant immediately said, “To put it bluntly, this is purely individual heroism. She just wanted to show off her talents with no regard for her teammates.”
Elena’s script was quite complicated, indeed. Everyone else only wrote one or two scenes while Elena had written a complete story.
An arc would usually have fifty or sixty squares, at most. Even sixty frames might not be enough to complete the story if the master sketcher could not comprehend it well enough.
The other contestants had short confrontation stories that could be completed in thirty or forty frames.
It looked like Elena’s team would lose out in the afternoon’s round.
If the pencil sketches could not be completed within the stipulated time, the subsequent drafts would not be achieved either.
At most, it could only be considered as a semi-finished product.
How could a semi-finished product compare with a completed one?
Elena was selfish and self-centered. The story had read wonderfully, but they would be desperate during the next round in the afternoon.
“I don’t think so. I heard that this team’s master sketcher is a god-like illustrator,” Ashton said with a smile.
“Sixty frames in three hours is almost equivalent to two separate arcs in other comics. Furthermore, they had such complicated scenes that even a god-like illustrator might not be able to draw it.”
“Amara, don’t make any assumptions about what hasn’t occurred yet,” Ava chided her assistant lightly.
“Yes, Miss Garcia.” Amara sat rigidly and did not utter another word.
Ava thought that Henry would take the initiative to introduce himself to her. No man could ever resist such a beautiful and elegant girl.
However, he seemed to be a little impatient and continuously looked at his watch.
Why was he impatient when he had such a beauty next to him?
Ava could not take it anymore, and she decided to be proactive. “Hello, I am…”
“I’ll leave to you to decide the results,” Henry suddenly said to Ashton, before he stood up and left.
He left!
Ava was dumbfounded. It felt as if she had been dumped!
A beauty had sat next to him, and he did not even spare a glance at him. He even acted as if he did not want to get acquainted with her.
Was Second Young Master Sharp blind?
