Oliver sat upright, before bursting into laughter. What Susan just asked her is very funny and ate doesn’t expect her right ask that kind of question. Did she have no shame at all.
“Why are you showing off your teeth, do I look funny to you?” She yelled and Oliver burst into another hell of a laughter
“I hope you can check mirror, right now. You look old and ugly, how can my Nate fall for someone unattractive like you?” She smirk, Susan was about to slap her and she restrained herself, she knows what Nate can do, if he finds any mark on her body.
“I thought you wanted to hit me, why did you stop? Are you afraid Nate might hate you? But there’s something I don’t get, I thought you’re supposed to be Nate mother, why did you wanna have sex with your son, why are you so obsessed with your son?” She asked, Susan move closer to her and drag her up from the ground. She landed a slap on Oliver face and slam her back against the wall. Oliver wondered where Susan got her strength from. Her hand is that of a man, is she a sport woman? She wondered. But that won’t stop Oliver from making her look miserable. How can he have sex with her stepson? Yes she knew she was his stepmother she was just trying to get words out of her mouth.
“How dare you talk to me like that? You daughter of a bitch?” She yelled and Oliver chuckled.
“I don’t know my mother, but I am very sure she can’t be like you, my mother can never be a crazy bitch, or should I say a physcho? You aren’t Normal Susan you need medical attention seriously. Hope you have seen a doctor? How can you be behaving like tgis in public? She smirk and Susan landed another slap on her face
“How dare you? Did you even know who I am?” Oliver smiled.
“I only know you as my boyfriend, mother, too bed you’re a physcho” Oliver smile.
“Are you crazy?” Susan asked and Oliver nod her head.
“I am very disappointed in you, how can you be asking me that, when it’s obvious that I am crazy, you’re a physcho and I am a crazy lady, don’t you think we suit each other perfectly?” She smiled and Susan kick her on her tommy.
“Let go of her,” Susan stop abruptly, followed by a cold voice that sends chills to the air for some seconds, and Susan stops abruptly, while still having oliver trapped in between her hands.
Oliver blinks her eyes repeatedly, arguing with herself about the voice she just heard. Although they haven’t see each other for long, she could always recognize his voice anywhere. It’s her friend. What the hell is he doing here? And how did he know she was here?
The thick sound of footsteps drawing close to them makes her heart beat nervously against her chest, and she gulps down nothing nervously. Still trying to register what’s happening, someone suddenly pulls Susan forcefully away from her, now revealing her friend, Thomas face. He’s staring at her with a blank expression on his face.
“Hey, man. How dare you interrupt me? Are you out of your mind?” Susan rumbles angrily as she staggers back and forth. She found him, handsome, but this isn’t the right time to admire him, he just fucking walk into her empire.
“You better now touch me with that hand. You won’t want to end up in the hospital, would you?” Thomas lips tug up in a smirk as he turns to face Susan, who just scoffs unbelievably. How dare this bastard threaten her? Who did he even think be is, to talk to her in that manner?
“How dare you! Who called you here?, do you know who she’s to me?” She out angrily, pointing her finger at him, and Susan bodyguard murmurs in surprise as they stare at Thomas in pure disgust. They were waiting for their boss to give them order, they can’t work without her order.
“I don’t wanna know who you’re, but trust me I have something that can ruin your entire life?”
“Gosh! Are you threatening me right now? What are you even talking about? Something that can ruin me, try harder guy,” she smile, though she was nervous, but she doesn’t wanna show him She is scared of him.
“Wow! Did you think I have the time to threatened a low life like you, without having evidence.,” Hearing his cold and sharp voice, she slowly clenches her fists beside her Fight back the tears that was about to drop, she hate getting defeated, she doesn’t like to lose anything, she wants the world to involve around only her. Her heart wrenches in pain, and she bites her bottom lip in angrily.
“What evidence? That’s crazy, you know? Did you even know me? Don’t you even know what they called privacy, can’t you fucking mind your business?” She snaps at him angrily, forcing herself not to pounce on this bastard that’s disturbing her way and beat the hell out of him.
“It looks like you’re scared?” Thomas sneers at her, and she rolls his eyes.
“Just fucking mind your business man, is it too hard to mind your business?”
“You don’t get to ask me that, Mrs… I choose what to intervene in, and I chose to do this right now. If you lay a finger on her again, I promise that you will spend the rest of your life regretting it,” Thomas threatens her.
“What’s so good about her?”
“Why are you even defending her? Did you know her before?” She asked with a smirk and Thomas scoffed.
“And you all watching this Wench to beat my friend? What do you call yourselves? Humans? Are you being blinded by money? Know did you all leave your life for her? Doesn’t you all know what rich people can do? Don’t you all know she was just using you all, she will probably kick your ass off, if you caused trouble for her, you might also end up being the victim one dah” Thomas snaps at the guards, as he looks at them one after the other with an angry look on his face.
“You will regret this, young man,” Susan breathes heavily as he slumps on the chair. Her guards rushed to her and she instructed them to step back.
“There’s something I don’t get, why didn’t you tell you dogs to hurt me?” He frown.
Thomas glares hard at her for a few seconds before he finally grabs Oliver hand and walks out of the place, while she breathe out, heavily.
“How did you know, I am here? Why did you risk your life to save me?” Sge asks as soon as they get outside the place, and he turns her face to look at her.
“I am glad you recognized me now, I did this to apologize for leaving you to yourself the other, day” he smiled.
“Thank you for just now,” She mutters.
“I will take a cab home,” She says instead, turning around to leave, but he holds her hand bringing her to an abrupt halt.
His heart stops beating for seconds as his hand contacts her skin. He feels a weird sensation spur through him, and he can’t help but ask himself what the electrified feeling was about. Though he had crush on her when they were in school.
“I’ll drop you home. Get inside the car,” He says to her as he retracts his hand, and she quickly shakes her head.
“No, you don’t have to worry. I… I… I will take a cab home,” She quickly protests, and he rolls his eyes.
“I don’t want to trouble you,” She further says, and he scoffs.
“Who said that you’re troubling me? Come on, get inside the car. I will drop you off at home,” He insists.
But it’s late, and…”
“Just get inside already, it’s getting late,” He cuts her off calmly as he pulls the door to his car open for her, and she hops in hesitantly. As much as she is scared of trusting him, on second thought she feels like there’s no need for that. Besides, he wouldn’t have defended her just to hurt her later, right? But she still Wonder how he knew where she was.
“Have you had something to eat yet? I can drive you to the restaurant to eat something before I drop you off at home,” He says as he hops in and ignites the car engine.
“Hmm… I’m fine,” She shakes her head and replies in a low tone. She hasn’t eaten anything since the afternoon, and she was going to eat after she watched the movie with Nate, but there’s no appetite left for her again.
“Are you sure?” He asks her, but her grumbling stomach replies to him instead.
“That’s it, we’re going to the restaurant,” He says as he sets the car in motion and drives down the road afterward, while she just stares out through the window.
“Can you lend me your phone?”
