Alvin stared at Kevin’s indecisive profile and said in a determined tone, “So Mr. Kevin, even if you don’t take my idea into consideration, you shouldn’t reveal my secret for the sake of other people.”
Alvin was imploring but Kevin suddenly got serious, “Alvin, you really don’t want to recognize Master White as your father?
“Yes, it’s not that I can’t take it now, it’s a decision that I have been thinking for a year and my decision remains the same.”
“But you should know it would be beneficial for me if I help Master White find his son.”
“I know. But even if it’s beneficial to you, you wouldn’t tell the secret without my permission.”
Kevin smiled slightly, “As expected, you’ve been with me for ten years, you know me well enough.”
“Thank you, Mr. Kevin. I appreciate your respect for my decision.”
“You’re welcomed. For the sake of our friendship, how can I not care about your feelings.”
Sitting in his study at night, Kevin was holding that file about Kevin’s laser surgery and was lost in thought. The door opened suddenly at this time, Bella walked in. He put that file in the drawer in panic and askedwith a frown, “Why didn’t you knock on the door first?”
“I forgot. What? Did I interrupt you thinking about me?”
Kevin was smilingly annoyed and took her on his lap, “How did you know that I was thinking about you, I might have thought about others.”
“You dare.”
Bella pinched his high nose, “Mom cooked some Bulalo and called you to have some.”
“No, I don’t want to have it.”
“Why not?
“Do I still need tonic? I’m struggling hard with my desire even without it. if I had it, I might die sooner.”
Bella giggled, “Is that so? Mom cooked that in person, come on, show some respect for her.”
“Then you drink it for me.”
“Stop joking, that’s for you to build up your health. It would be counterproductive for me if I drink it.”
Bella pushed him, “Come on, I need to use your computer to download something.”
Kevin compromised on her request. He stood up and reminded her while he walked to the door, “Don’t mess with my stuff.”
“Yes.”
Nothing would happen if Kevin hadn’t reminded her. And it was because of his reminder that Bella recalled that Kevin was panicked when she walked in. She secretly pulled open the drawer in the middle and saw an investigation report. She picked it up and suddenly covered her mouth in amazement.
Kevin gulped down the Bulalo and went upstairs immediately. Upon getting into his study, he saw Bella sitting in his chair while holding that file. All of a sudden, he turned into a sullen face and asked, “Didn’t I tell you not to mess with my stuff?”
“Why didn’t you tell me that Alvin is Master White’s son and you are sure about that?”
Bella asked back eloquently as if she was not the one who did a bad thing but him.
“You’re impulsive. I’m afraid that you would tell Master White if you knew it.”
“Why shouldn’t I tell him? Wasn’t you looking for his son for him?”
Kevin sighed, “If that one is others, that’s fine. But that one is Alvin and lots of things need to be taken into consideration in the long run.”
“Why?”
“Alvin is reluctant to recognize Master White as his father. I see Alvin as my brother. And the agreement between Master White and I is based on interests. But now Alvin is not willing to recognize Master White as his father, so it would feel like betraying my brother if I tell Master White.”
“How could that be considered as a betrayal?” Bella had a totally different idea with Kevin, “I think it’s just because Alvin can’t accept the transformation from being an orphan to someone who has a father now. It’s just a problem of his mentality. And it can be overcome. He holds a misunderstanding of his father. But ss long as Master White works on to bridge the gap, they will resume being father and son again.”
“It seems easy to solve other’s problems from your own perspective. But once it happens to you, it’s not that easy. It is true that Master White lost his son due to gang disputes and vicariously caused her wife to commit suicide. And it’s reasonable for Alvin to resent him.”
“No matter Master White has experienced what kind of things, the fact that he is Alvin’s father can’t be changed. I think you should tell this to Master White whether for Alvin or yourself.”
“No, I can’t do that. No matter how much I want to flatter that person, I won’t make use of my brother!”
They failed to reach a consensus and both were frustrated. Kevin urged her many times that she couldn’t tell this to anyone. If she revealed the secret, he wouldn’t forgive her.
Bella had never seen anyone taking things so seriously as Kevin. She thought it was unable to talk with Kevin, so she decided to talk to Alvin
At an elegantly decorated café, Bella looked at Alvin and cut straight into the topic, “Alvin, I know you are Master White’s son.”
Alvin frowned, “Mr. Kevin told you?”
“No, I discovered accidentally by myself. He didn’t betray you.”
“Then what is it that you ask me out?”
“Are you really not going to recognize Master White as your father? Actually, I heard Kevin said that Master White is not as evil as you think.”
“I didn’t say he is evil. In fact, he has nothing to do with me.”
Bella sensed that there was a profound bias that Alvin held for Master White.
“You know we are at a very special period right now. If Master White joins hands with Hilary, it will be very unfavorable to us. So could you put aside your personal bias for the sake of the overall scheme of things?”
“This is a very self-interested proposal to me.”
Alvin signed, “Sorry, madam. I understand the interests involved. But I truly don’t want to have anything to do with that man.”
Seeing Alvin’s determined attitude, Bella knew that she couldn’t change his mind, so she changed to another topic, “When do you marry Lena?”
“We’ll see.” Alvin looked lost.
Alice was back home from her 20 days journey to Tibet. She saw Louis being upset as soon as she was home. Feeling guilty, she came forward to him attentively, “Honey, I’m back.”
Louis ignored her and kept watching TV.
“Look what I bought you, tok tok, tok—do you like it? ”
She conjured up an ugly bunny from her traveling bag. She turned on the button and the bunny started to spin. While spinning, it turned around and burst out, “I love you.”
Alice laughed so hard, “What do you think, what do you think? Do you like it?”
She excitedly turned it on again, “I saw this at a souvenir store. I loved it so much the first sight I saw it. And intuitively, I thought you will like it, too, so I bought it.”
“I love you.” The bunny shouted again and Alice laughed and tumbled onto the sofa. But looking at Louis, not to mention laughing, he didn’t even bat his eyes.
“What? You don’t like it?”
“Louis, I know I’m wrong. Please don’t be mad at me anymore. Seeing you being upset, I feel distressed.”
“Do you know why I would fall in love with you back then? Because I think you are a broad-minded man. In fact, I didn’t misjudge, you are truly a man…”
“Though I left home regardless of your opinion but my heart never left you. Louis, you can feel it, right? Feel my heart has always been with you?”
Alice liked to babble on and on to Louis. Though her words were full of emotion and her face was glowing with love, she failed to relieve Louis’ anger. He was still upset, treating her as if she was air and her word as she was farting.
“Louis, if you keep ignoring me, I’ll go the hard way?”
Alice gave him three seconds to decide but Louis didn’t change his mind. Then she jumped on him with a horny desire, kissing and nibbling his neck. Louis almost couldn’t hold it. But once he thought about that she left a note and went away that morning, he pushed her away and dropped the remote control, turning to his study.
“Louis, you will regret treating me like this!”
Alice was also irritated. It was her fault to leave home. But now she has apologized, flattered and been cute to him. She even pretended to be horny, but Louis was still not stirred at all. She could assert that his heart was made of stone.

“You ignore me. What’s the point for me to stay at home if you treat me like air? Why don’t I continue my trip? So that my presence won’t bother you.”
How could you say I’m ignoring you? Have you ever thought about why I ignore you? Who would leave her husband for about half a month? And you were traveling with other guys. If I went traveling with Bella, how would you react? Would you smile at me when I’m back?!”
Alice scuttled to him, holding his arm and patting his chest, “Don’t worry. If you go on a trip with her, I wouldn’t break your leg. I will follow you and try my best not to let her get close to you. You only stay with me. “
