Chapter 57 Overexercised

Book:The CEO's Seventh Bride Published:2024-5-1

Kevin dressed and washed and combed. Bella still locked herself in the room and did not come out. He walked over and knocked on the door, “Hey, you’re quite open. Are you so ashamed for such a small matter?”
There was response from the house.
He continued to knock on the door, “Don’t take it serious. I’m your husband, and it’s right that you want to sleep with me.”
“Okay, come out. It’s my bad. I usually let you felt empty.”
The door was opened. Bella had been pissed off at him, roared out of control, “What’s wrong with you running out for a swim in the middle of the night?”
Kevin was stunned by her yelling and said innocently, “There’s something wrong with me. You know that.”
“Yes, I know, but I don’t know you are so freak!”
“So now you know, right? It’s not too late to know it. Don’t be so mean to a patient. Be gentle.”
Bella hated him. She must have been out of her mind when she was thrown into the pool last night to have come to join him.
No, she hadn’t been thrown into the pool before she came to join him.
She must have suffered from a heavy rain in T City two days ago and accidentally got crazy.
“Hurry up and freshen up, I’ll take you shopping for clothes.”
Bella grunted, “No, my clothes are already dry.”
“Are you that scruffy? Aren’t you changing your clothes in this hot day? Even if it’s dry, the sweaty smell is lingered on it.”
She thought about it and said softly, “You delete that recording, and I’ll cooperate with anything today.”
Kevin giggled. So she was still struggling with this matter.
“Okay.”
He took out his phone and deleted it very simply in front of her.
Only then did Bella let out a sigh of relief and pointed to the living room sofa, “Wait for me for five minutes.”
They got out of the room after sorting out, but bumped into Osmond. Osmond was still with the beauty who massaged for him last night, and ambiguously greeted, “Miss Burne-Brown, good morning.”
“Morning.”
“You overexercised last night, so the seventh wife looks exhausted, right?”
He teasingly asked Kevin. Kevin nodded, “Yes, a little.”
Bella twisted him hard. He smiled meaningfully, “We still go out for a while, you tell Ives and Roman to leave for B City at three in the afternoon.”
“Good.”
Osmond smiled and agreed, holding the beauty as he walked away. He also did not forget to ridicule Bella, “You have to strengthen the exercise. My beauty is energetic.”
Bella was speechless. Out of the hotel, she asked Kevin, “How do you know such dude like Osmond, Ives and Roman?”
Kevin didn’t think so, “Then how much better am I than them in your eyes?”
Bella was speechless. Although Kevin was not like them lustful and unscrupulous, but in other aspects, he really was not much better than them.
T city’s economy was not as developed as B city, but there were quite a few large shopping malls. Kevin was nitpicking, and not very satisfied after shopping at a few malls.
“Just pick a set at random. You’re not going to some grand ceremony, so why are you so picky?”
Bella was a little impatient. Kevin pursued perfection of details, bur she didn’t.
“How can you just pick at random? Whether it’s people or clothes, we can’t hold a random attitude, but must pick what we are satisfied with. Especially you, you can’t be casual. Once it becomes a habit, life is basically half ruined.”
“Everyone will say the great truth, but doing it is another matter. Do you dare to say that your frequent marriages and divorces are just not for resigning yourself?”
“I’m not resigning myself. It’s just a kind of revenge on women. I want to torment every vain woman. I want them to know that love and money can never be owned meanwhile.”
Bella was surprised. It was the first time that Kevin confessed to her his deepest distrust of feelings.
“Is that why Freya left you?”
“No.”
Bella was surprised again. She thought she would inevitably be reprimanded or simply ignored by him if she asked about Freya, but he answered her without elaborating. At least he was willing to confront the sensitive subject.
“And why is that?”
She asked cautiously. Although she told herself not to do that, she just couldn’t hide her curiosity.
“You have already known.”
Kevin gave her a faint glance.
“Mom said she betrayed you, but I always thought that shouldn’t be the case. If she truly loved someone, she wouldn’t fall in love with another person in a short period of time.”
“That’s not necessarily true. At first I thought there were other reasons too, but that’s what actually happened. She left with my brother and didn’t come back for three years.”
Kevin looked sad, and Bella didn’t dare to ask any more questions. She couldn’t do such a thing as to expose his scars to satisfy her own curiosity.
“By the way, I’m thinking of a mall that you might like.”
She knowingly changed the topic, and Kevin also calmly asked with interest, “Where?”
“Two hundred meters south of Lay Road. There’s a mall there called Modern New Human, which is very different from other malls in terms of layout and clothes.”
“Oh? Let’s go. But where’s the Lay Road you mentioned?”
“You turn around, and I will guide you.”
Kevin turned the car around according to her, and then drove in the direction of Lay Road. Bella gave him directions from time to time, and after about twenty minutes of driving, they finally arrived at destination.
When getting out of the car, Kevin casually asked, “Do you come to T City often?”
Bella denied, “No.”
“Then why are you so familiar with the roads here?”
“Oh, I accompanied a friend here two days ago to buy some clothes for her honeymoon.”
Kevin didn’t ask any further questions, apparently believing her words.
Modern New Human was indeed a little bit different than other shopping malls. As soon as you entered the door, there were seven weirdly dressed dwarfs, dressed in comical bows, “Welcome.”
Kevin giggled, “Is it a fairy tale world?”
Bella said proudly, “Don’t underestimate the seven dwarfs. They rarely bow to guests unless they are fated to be with them.”
“I don’t see a bond with them.”
“It’s not you, bur me.”
“What?”
“I look more like a princess, so…”
Pfft.
Kevin couldn’t help but laugh again, “So they took you for Snow White.”
“That’s pretty much it.”
He said, “You’re really narcissistic.”
The first floor was for household goods, and the fifth floor was for clothing. Bella led Kevin to the lift and said to him, “See you on the fifth floor.” Then she turned around to leave.
“Where are you going?”
Kevin grabbed her clothes and yanked her back.
“I’m going up to the fifth floor.”
“Ar you not taking the lift?”
“Yeah.”
“So do you fly up there?”
She pointed around the corner to the left, “There are stairs there. I’ll just walk up them.”
“Are you so energetic? You even don’t take lift.”
Bella gloomily looked down and gently took away his hand, “I’m used to it.”
Kevin stared at her back and was confused. When her figure disappeared around the corner, he suddenly thought of her claustrophobia. He immediately chased after her, and dragged Bella who had already walked up the stairs down.
“What are you doing?”
“Didn’t you say you’d cooperate with me on everything today as long as I delete the recording? Now I need you to take the lift with me.”
Bella shook her head in embarrassment, “No, I really can’t cooperate with this one.”
She was about to continue upstairs after saying that, but Kevin grabbed her and didn’t let go, “You have to come with me.”
“Why can’t you just be understanding of me? I hate taking lifts.”
“It’s just claustrophobia, isn’t it? Is it that scary? Let the prince save you today.”
Kevin dragged her to the lift and said in a serious tone, “Trust me, you can do it.”
Bella couldn’t believe Kevin said that. Just now when he insisted that she take the lift, she thought he was deliberately trying to play tricks on her. She even didn’t that he was trying to help her overcome the fear in her heart.
“I really can’t. I’ve tried before, so don’t waste your energy.”
“It used to be that you were alone, but today, with me by your side, you can feel free to follow me. Failing once doesn’t mean you’ll always fail. You are powerful and shouldn’t have weaknesses.”
Bella was even touched. From the moment she was born, no one had ever said that with him here, she could rest assured.
All these years, experiencing all kinds of sorrows along the way, she was alone, and never thought what it was like to have another person by her side.
The door opened, and Kevin held her hand and stepped in.
He pressed lightly on the fifth floor, and the door gradually closed. A familiar sense of trepidation began to come to her, as the lift began to rise. She looked pale and felt about to be unable to breathe….
