Chapter 16 The Slutty Woman

Gillian furiously found Colin and hysterically roared, “Are you my real mother or not?”
Colin was shocked by her nonsensical words, and quickly covered her mouth for fear of being heard by Kevin in the living room, reprimanding her, “What’s wrong with you? I’m your real mother not stepmother.”
“I see you are my stepmother. When Dad wanted me to marry Kevin, if you hadn’t messed up, would that slutty woman have a chance to flaunt herself in front of me now?”
Gillian was getting angrier, stomping on her high heels, “She’s fighting back now, and she even dares to humiliate me!!!”
“What? Did she humiliated you? How did she humiliate you?”
Colin looked fierce with arms akimbo.
“She said that Kevin wouldn’t be interested in me…”
“This slutty woman bullies me by virtue of her good look. Damn it! When she divorce, let’s see how I’ll deal with her.”
“No way?! Kevin is so nice to her. Can’t you see that? But she’s so much better than her mother. You gave her the happiness that was meant for me. I hate you!!!”
Gillian finally growled, turned around and ran away crying.
Colin stood frozen in place for a long time, not to mention that her baby daughter had actually fallen for Kevin. Just Kevin’s attitude towards Bella made her depressed. She wanted Bella would suffer from a miserable marriage, but never thought that their marriage was full of happiness. And Bella was noble now!
Was there anything more depressing in the world? Gillian hated her, and even she hated herself.
All hates and regrets could only be temporarily suppressed in her heart. Kevin was absolutely not offended. If they got along well with the Jones-Sharps, then in the future, the Burne-Browns’ business would be a big success.
Lunch was prepared properly. Kevin sat on the VIP position. Bella sat beside him, and Gillian sat opposite Bella. The maids put exquisite dishes one by one on the table, and Wilson took out two bottles of treasured good wine, saying, “Kevin, enjoy yourself.”
Kevin was a heavyweight. He even drank a few cups of 60% wine easily, but also put some dishes soberly for Bella, “They’re your favorite. Eat more.”
Bella was surprised. She was startled to see the braised crab meat on her bowl, and was confused. How did he know she liked to eat this?
They didn’t seem familiar enough to know their respective preferences. Kevin won’t keep an eye on a woman’s preferences….
As she was confused, Kevin continued to drink. After a long time, she realized that Kevin was almost drunk.
“Stop drinking. You have to drive back.”
Like all loving couples, she snatched his glass of wine and got up with concern to pour a glass of water for him.
As she sat down, even without looking up, she could feel Gillian’s jealous eyes.
Bella was having her meal, and suddenly found a piece of crab meat on her bowl. Bella was ambivalent badly. Was Kevin schizophrenic. He could be so good to her, and was bad and intolerable sometimes.
Perhaps he saw her being ambivalent, Kevin suddenly leaned over and stuck to her ear with a very small voice, ambiguously said, “Don’t bother yourself why I’m clear about your preference for food. In a word, what you like is exactly what I hate. It’s that simple.”
The implication was that because it was what he hated, he knew it by heart.
