There was silence in the office after Amanda left.
A little while later, George spoke grimly, “Did you send that recording to her?”
Jane stiffened and threw herself into George’s arms, “George, I’m sorry, I couldn’t stand the thought of you being with someone else, that’s why I wanted to piss her off…”
The warmth in his arms, and hearing her heartfelt words, George had nowhere to launch any fire, and patted Jane on the back with a cold face, forgiving her.
In the car, Amanda looked indifferent as she spoke, “Bette, prepare a statement, I’m terminating my contract with the Brown Group.”
“Huh? But according to the agreement, you have to pay thirty million dollars in damages, where do we get so much money?” Bette looked sad.
“Don’t worry, we’ll get the money. Drive.”
Not long after arriving home, Bruce White rushed in, “What do you want me to do, Amanda?”
Amanda then discussed the audio with him, Suddenly to hear a noise behind her, she turned to look and Miller White was home?
Meeting the man’s gaze, Amanda was somehow guilty, subconsciously not wanting him to know about her lack of money.
Bruce White received the look from his brother and slipped away, the living room felt into a strange silence.
Then the man seemed to sigh and spoke, “Send me the audio and I’ll help you.”
Amanda obeyed and sent it to his computer.
She saw the man’s long fingers tapping on the keyboard, and in less than half an hour, he had the results.
Amanda leaned in, perhaps worried that she wouldn’t be able to read it, he displayed the most important part directly in front of her eyes.
On the screen, the source of the audio was plainly Jane’s apartment!
“It’s better to let the originator give you the money instead of thinking about the penalty.”
He said it calmly, not seeing any problem in doing so.
Amanda then watched as he compiled the evidence into an email that was sent to George.
Within a few minutes, there was a reply, “Who are you and what do you want?”
Miller White was also quick to return: “Thirty million.”
George didn’t immediately agree like he was making some kind of decision.
Ten minutes later, there was a reply: “Card number.”
The next day, Amanda sent out a statement that clearly stated the decision to terminate the contract because of the Brown Group’s inability to secure its own interests.
No one was more shocked than Jane when this statement came out.
“Is she crazy? Does she think it’s that easy to get out of a contract? Can she afford to pay a huge breach of the contract?”
Just as Jane was fuming in her office, Herman walked in, “Amanda’s here and seems to have a bodyguard with her, she’s in George’s office.”
“Come on. Let’s go and have a look!”
At this point, in George’s office.
“Amanda, don’t get carried away, do you think it’s that easy to terminate a contract?”
George looked at the bodyguard beside her with a scowl in his eyes, thinking would he be scared to her bringing just a bodyguard?
“Terminate the contract, no discussion.” Amanda was too lazy to talk to them
Jane pushed the door open and said meanly, “Want to get out of the contract, fine! Then first, bring out the thirty million dollars in the breach of contract.”
At this point, the bodyguard directly behind Amanda opened the two boxes at her feet, which were full of dollars.
“Is it ok now?”
“Stop! I haven’t said you can go yet!”
George reached out and took her arm reluctantly.
Amanda was about to get angry when the door was pushed open from the outside and two men in black entered, staring at George with a fierce look.
Miller White’s upright figure slowly walked in, the original spacious office appeared to be small, he only to look at George coldly, but his words were like ice,
“Get your dirty hands off my wife!”
