George was a little distraught at the sight of Amanda’s back when Jane’s call came back.
“George, don’t you love me anymore?”
“What are you babbling about? I’ll talk to you when I get back.”
Jane looked at the disconnected phone with a grimace in her eyes, said something to her manager, Herman, and drove to Amanda’s place.
Meanwhile, Amanda and Bette sat in the car, celebrating the victory.
“Bette, how are things going with Jane?”
“I’ll have a response tomorrow.”
“Hmm,” Amanda remembered that she still had some things she hadn’t taken, so she told the driver to turn around and go to her old place.
As they were joking and preparing to enter the building, there was a sharp voice behind them.
“Amanda, you stop right there.”
Amanda quirked her lips, “interesting”, with that thought in mind, she turned over to look at the angry woman.
Jane looked at the smirk on Amanda’s face and just felt the sting of it and asked in exasperation, “How dare you steal my endorsement?”
Amanda raised an eyebrow, “The partners are satisfied with me and they think you’re not as famous as me, what, not convinced?”
“You!” Jane hadn’t noticed before that this woman was so eloquent!
“Amanda, since I’ve had children, George has said that he’ll give me something better.” Jane can’t believe Amanda could still indifferent this after all!
“Well… It wouldn’t have made you the daughter-in-law of the Browns anyway, after all, everyone knows about your unspeakable past.”.”
Bette almost burst into laughter. Amanda’s words were really cruel. Everyone knew that Jane used to make blue movies. Even it’s in the past, it’s still her dead end.
“You shut up!” Jane raised her slap in exasperation, while Amanda made a fearful face in a very cooperative manner.
Just then, there was a flash of white light and Bette filmed the scene from the sidelines, exaggerating, “How about this headline, Jane slaps Amanda in spite of her identity?”
Then a crisp slap sounded, and even Bette was stunned.
Amanda threw up her hands, “Sorry, my hands slipped. But everything you’ve taken from me, I’ll get back, bit by bit!”
At this moment, the harshness of Amanda was so fierce that it frightened Jane as if she was facing a chilling beast about to prey.
“Right, Leave scum like George to you, after all, only you want to have that kind of stinking man.”
With that, Amanda slammed the door hard, shocking Jane back to her senses.
“Amanda, I’m going to make sure you die a horrible death!”
Jane’s eyes were malevolent and she clenched her fists tightly.
In the room, Bette looked at Amanda incredulously, as if she had never known this person before.
Amanda was a little cryptic, “Bette, is there something on my face?”
“If I wasn’t a materialist, I’d think you were possessed.”
Hearing this, Amanda gave a low laugh, “I didn’t know people well before. Do you think I can’t tell who is good and who is bad now?”
