“For example?” Leonardo asked, narrowing his eyes.
“Other than the three major categories, there is another possibility, which is hypnosis.” The doctor subconsciously emphasized the word “hypnosis”. His voice was filled with fear.
“Hypnosis?” Leonardo’s face subtly changed, his eyes stern. That word rarely appeared in everyday life.
“Some psychologists practice hypnosis mostly for helping patients in psychotherapy…” The doctor’s face subtly changed. “However, that’s not all. Hypnosis can not only treat emotional disorders but change behavior and habits and even seal a person’s memory…” The doctor then got to his feet. “I’m sorry for not being an expert in the field. That’s what I’ve heard from others, but you may want to consult the expert. Please excuse me, I have to go.”
The doctor got to his feet and headed toward the door, but was stopped at the exit by some bodyguards.
“Young Master?” A bodyguard looked at Leonardo, awaiting instructions.
“Let him go.” Leonardo waved his hand slightly.

Summer’s stomach was protesting after waiting for a long while in the car. Right then, Leonardo brought a group of men and came out of the hospital with a white plastic bag in his hand. He let those bodyguards get inside the car first while he walked to the front of the car, opened the door, and tossed the plastic bag into the backseat before climbing into the driver’s seat.
Summer was leaning back in the seat, looking over to study him.
His expression had changed little from previously. There was zero emotional fluctuation on his face, and she had no idea what he had done just now. So she looked away and out of the window. All she wanted now was to go home quickly as she wondered what Rosie was doing alone at home right now. The car moved forward slowly and the only sound in the cabin was their breathing sounds.
“What would you like to eat?”
Leonardo suddenly broke the silence, and his question sounded odd.
“Shouldn’t I be the one to ask the question?” She checked the time. It was seven in the evening. By the time they reached home, it would be a little too late to cook. “Do you want to eat out?”
He said nothing but stopped the car in front of a restaurant, using his action to tell her he wanted to dine out.
Summer got out after him. “Rosie is at home alone.”
Leonardo looked back at her, his eyes telling her he knew without needing her to remind him. Screw it, let him go on with whatever he wanted to do. She had to go home right now, she thought to herself. There might be many maids at home, but she still did not feel any easy.
Probably sensing that she did not catch up to him, Leonardo looked back and instantly read her mind. “You’ll get stuck in traffic for at last an hour if you go now. Aren’t you hungry?”
“I’m not…” Before she could finish her sentence, her stomach growled and slapped her in the face. It was a little awkward now.
Leonardo stood on the spot, looking at her with a faint smile, signaling her to follow him. So, she did.
They were sitting facing each other at the table in a restaurant, and he handed a menu to her. She looked at him in surprise; when did Leonardo become a gentleman?
“You decide.” She did not take the menu.
Leonardo said nothing as he took back the menu and started ordering.
She sighed quietly. It really was just for show? Had Stanley been there, he would have put the menu directly in front of her.
Thinking of Stanley, her mind drifted away. He was busy and most likely having his meal outside every day. He was probably even sleeping in his clinic.
Leonardo was looking at the menu with one eye and at Summer with the other.
It had become a kind of subconscious habit. He did not do this on purpose. By the time he came to his senses, he realized he was staring directly at Summer. Fortunately, Summer had spaced out and not noticed that he was looking at her.
He had recovered some memories recently, but they were fragmented. Some of them were about his mom, but more was about Summer.
As mundane and fragmented as those memories were, he could feel that he used to care about her very much. Tim had not told him directly, but judging by his words, he could sense that the woman by the name of Summer, who was sitting right in front of him right now, was important to him. It was just that now they both had lost their memories, and their current relationship was only connected by one single thread, which was Rosie.
Leonardo was born paranoid. Even before he fully recovered his memory, he had realized how different Summer was, and he was not going to let go of her. All the more so because she was Rosie’s mother.
Summer looked up at Leonardo when she sensed his stare. He quickly dodged her eyes and looked down.
She pursed her lips. She had clearly sensed that he was staring at her just now. Was that just an illusion?
No one spoke a word while they waited for the food to be served. She did not know what to say and Leonardo was a man of few words. It felt awkward.
As Summer took out her mobile phone, Leonardo suddenly looked up at her yet said nothing. She found his stare very intimidating, so she had no choice but to put down her mobile phone.
Luckily, it did not take long before the food was served. Surprisingly, he had ordered light dishes.
“Don’t you like spicy food?” She tried to sound him out. Perhaps, he changed his preference today?
While she was thinking about that, a waitstaff took a small dish of spicy dipping sauce to the table, disproving her theory. In the end, she finally figured that he was probably accommodating her preference, and the discovery unsettled her. There was no way Leonardo would treat her so nicely; he had to be up to something.
Still looking at her, Leonardo replied with an “Mhm.” The simple reply reeked of flirtation. He was indeed trying to appease her.
Summer was on pins and needles during the entire course of the meal, wondering what had gone wrong. In contrast, Leonardo looked cool, calm, and collected.
The traffic was a smooth sail on their way home and they arrived in no time.
When Summer stepped into the house, she saw Rosie’s eyes glued to the TV with her tiger soft toy in her arms.
“Rosie!” she called out. However, she only received an absentminded “Mhm…” from Rosie, who did not even look at her. It was as if her soul had gone into the virtual world of the TV program.
