Summer wondered for a moment before returning to Eliza.
It was dinner time, and the restaurant was full of people.
Summer returned to her seat and turned her head as she looked through the crowd in the direction of the room that Leonardo had entered.
When Leonardo said he was eating out, so she thought that he was with Carl. It turned out that he had just arrived.
However, if Leonardo was to eat with Carl, the latter would have definitely arrived early.
Then, who was Leonardo’s dinner partner?
It did not take too long for a familiar person to walk into the restaurant, and Summer’s eyes followed him. The person was heading was toward the room that Leonardo had just entered, much to her surprise.
The area between the hall and the rooms were separated, and the rooms were much quieter.
“Your mind seems to be wandering a little, what are you looking at?” Eliza, who was sitting opposite her, turned to look in the same direction as her and saw Michael entering a room.
Eliza looked excited but cautiously whispered, “Isn’t that Michael? Your ex-father in law!”
Yeah,” Summer responded, her thoughts far away.
Leonardo invited Michael for dinner?
They were in an antagonistic relationship right now, how did they end up with a dinner appointment with just the two of them?
Could it be that Leonardo spread the “rumor”, and Michael wanted to talk to Leonardo about it?
“You know, I really want to inform the reporters now.” Eliza shook her head as soon as she said that. “But even if I were to inform them, no one would dare interview your ex-father-in-law.”
“The hell is with the ex-father-in-law?” Mainly, it sounded very awkward.
Eliza piped down and looked unblinkingly at Summer.
“What’s wrong?” Summer froze for a moment, “If you really want to call him that, sure…”
Eliza suddenly said very casually, “To be frank, I don’t believe you and Leonardo are really divorced.”
“Huh?” Summer blinked. “Is that so? You look like you understand Leonardo very well…”
“Intuition! Intuition, you know? For some people, you can tell that they’re nice at first glance, and Leonardo looks like the type that would stick to a single person once his heart is set. I’m doubting that you are not divorced, but…”
Eliza suddenly paused as she said that.
Summer felt somewhat uncomfortable due to Eliza’s stare. She raised her eyebrow and asked. “What is it?”
Eliza finished the sentence word by word. “You dumped him!”
“Cough…” Summer choked on the water she was drinking. “Can you not speak in such a shocking manner?”
Eliza’s eyes widened. “So you really dumped him?”
She had just said it randomly. Did she hit the bullseye?
“You’re gonna go on a plane tomorrow. Go back early and rest up. If you gossip this much, you might as well be a paparazzo…”
“If I was one, I’d dig up stories about you every single day!”
Just as the two finished their meal, Eliza was called away by her assistant on the phone.
Summer kept looking in the direction of Leonardo’s room, and never saw him come out of it.
Summer hesitated again and again but finally decided to go and have a look.
“One, two, three…”
Summer had counted when she followed Leonardo’s trail earlier. It was the sixth room.
She stood by the door of the room and leaned against the wall next to the door frame. Just as she was about to listen in, she saw a waiter passing by, so she quickly took out her phone and pretended to be on a call.
As she pretended to make a phone call she looked around to see if anyone else was coming from the other side.
By the time the hallway was empty and she had kept her phone to listen in, she heard a squeak as the door was opened by someone from the inside.
Summer froze, and before she could see who it was, she felt a big hand on her shoulder pushing her to the side.
A bang later, the room door was closed shut.
She turned around and saw Leonardo staring coldly at her.
Summer felt a little embarrassed in that setting and felt like she had to say something.
Feeling a little guilty, she asked, “What’s wrong with you?”
Leonardo did not say anything. Instead, he pulled her hand toward the other end of the elevator.
His strides were big and fast, and Summer could not keep up with his pace as she was seemingly dragged along the way.
Leonardo looked angry and emanated a dangerous aura, so Summer dared not speak.
Leonardo pulled Summer all the way to his exclusive room in the Golden Cauldron before he let her go.
Summer rubbed her squeezed wrist, and before she could say anything, she heard Leonardo’s rumbling voice. “Why were you there?”
Summer quickly replied, “I was having dinner with Eliza.”
Leonardo’s expression was chilly, “I’m asking you, why were you outside the room? What were you planning to do?”
“I saw you and your father entering the room one after another, and…”
The words “your father” seemed to have angered Leonardo, and he interrupted her with a dark expression. “Father?”
Summer immediately changed tact. “Michael…”
When she first “married” Leonardo, Michael had looked for her once.
At that time, she thought that Michael was a distant person, and as a father, he might have his own troubles.
However, a series of events later had completely subverted her thoughts.
On the matter of family and loved ones, Summer was undoubtedly a soft-hearted person.
Otherwise, she would not have endured so long in the Jarrett family before she finally gave up.
As for Michael having an illegitimate child, it was not an unforgivable sin to Summer, as long as what they said about Adams’s birth was true.
Leonardo lowered his head and looked at Summer who was afraid of him staring at her with his furious gaze. A trace of helplessness flashed through his eyes, and his voice became a little softer, but his tone was still serious. “When you see Michael in the future, circle past him.”
“Oh.” Summer’s response was rather perfunctory. “What were you two talking about?”
“Some personal matters.” Leonardo turned and sat on the sofa as he said that.
He lowered his gaze as he folded his legs together and looked very reluctant to speak further.
This man would show such a look when he did not want to tell her something, and Summer knew that about him very well.
Summer went over and sat beside him. “What’s the deal with the rumor? You got someone to leak it out?” While he may have been reluctant to tell her, she could still ask.
“No.” He did not get someone to leak it out, rather he had just sent a private email to a member of the media.
