Chapter 310 Dating a Whore

He needed to pay for the identity and glory that the Emerson family had given him. There is no absolute fairness and unfairness in this world. The more you get, the more you have to give.
Leonardo bent down slightly so his eyes were level with Summer’s. His black eyes locked on to her face as he spoke with a simper. “Why are you so concerned about me all of a sudden?”
She did not answer immediately. She helped him do his tie and sorted him out, only then she looked up at him and said matter-of-factly, “I have always been concerned about you, so you’ve got to take care of yourself.”
“Okay.”
Leonardo nodded.
He pointed his finger at his lips, telling her to leave him a goodbye kiss. Summer shook her head. She was not going to kiss him before brushing her teeth, but Leonardo could not have cared less and came down with his kisses.
When he finally pulled his lips away, a teasing smile flashed in his eyes. “A smelly kiss, though.”
She gave him some good punching. Leonardo did not dodge, just letting her work it off. Then he headed out for work.
Summer came to the window and looked on as Leonardo drove away. As she then turned around to clean herself up, only then she realized Leonardo had not had breakfast yet.
Back then, when they were still staying at the hillside mansion, Leonardo would take his breakfast at home before heading out for work. But now he was staying alone. Without a maid, only God knew if he took his breakfast every morning.
She thought for a moment, then texted Tim to buy breakfast for Leonardo. While Leonardo had gone to work, she needed to sort herself out, then headed to the movie studio.
After cleaning herself up, she drove back to her house. She made herself breakfast, then checked Adams’s Weibo while eating. She wanted to see if she could find his itinerary.
It had been a long since she last visited Adams’s Weibo. Back then, most of the comments in Adams’s Weibo were positive about him. But now, half of them were critical of him.
Since Adams and Tip Top Entertainment parted, his popularity had not reduced but his reputation had taken some beating. His dating with Vicky was the main reason for angering his followers. He had too many followers, and Tip Top Entertainment had created a nearly perfect image for him back then. After that, he was implicated in a series of scandals, including his dating with Vicky. Without the PR magic hand of Tip Top Entertainment, it was only natural that most of his followers had become his public enemies.
Even Summer, who used to admire him, had no kind word about him now.
Adams used to be famous, now more famous although embroiled in scandals. A few recent Weibo posts of Adams were about his spokespersonship and a promotion campaign for his new drama series. Judging by the photographs, it looked like a historical drama.
Summer opened the comment section.
“I saw Adams at the movie studio today and secretly took a photograph of him. The photograph isn’t clear, but I’m super happy…”
There were more replies to this comment.
“Is it in the movie studio in Hoover City?”
“Yeah. But I’m not sure how long the shooting will take. I’m looking forward to seeing Adams again.”
“Oh, is it? I am so envious of you. I wish I could meet Adams in person.”
“What’s so good about seeing trash?”
“He is dating a whore…”
The subsequent comments were very critical of Adams. Summer could not have cared less reading them. She screenshotted the photograph, drove to the movie studio, and showed it to Eliza.
“Any idea where this place is?”
She had to ask Eliza because the movie studio in Hoover City was an enormous place. Eliza recognized the person in the photograph as Adams.
“You want to see him?”
“No. I just want to go there and take a look at the place.” Summer did not tell the truth.
“Oh, this place…”
After Eliza told her the location, Summer headed to the scene where Adams did the shooting. When she arrived, only then she realized how difficult it was to see Adams here; the place was so crowded.
Instead of seeing Adams, it would be quicker to see Vicky. She waited outside for a long time but did not get to see him. It seemed that this would not work. The only way was to look for Vicky to get to Adams.
Summer left and tried to find a way to see Vicky. She thought of the restaurant where she bumped into Vicky yesterday. Maybe that was a good place to start. So she drove to the place.
She found a table not far from the door, ordered her stuff, and set her eyes on the entrance. As luck would have it, Adams and Vicky appeared.
Vicky had never changed his fashion style. She was wearing a low-cut sexy dress, clinging to Adams like glue as she whispered sweet nothings at him. Adams still looked as gentle as ever, letting Vicky cling to him. Instead of despising, he occasionally smiled at her. Every time he did that, Vicky’s eyes would brighten up as if his smile had hooked her soul.
Summer had a hard time in the past imagining how Vicky would look like when she really loved a man. But now she found that no matter how sinister Vicky was, she was still a woman. When a woman loves a man, it is all the same.
The two of them headed straight to a private dining room. Vicky was walking in front and first entering the room. Adams was after her. But before he entered, he suddenly looked in Summer’s direction.
Summer quickly looked away, resting her chin on her hand to pretend that she was looking at her mobile phone. When she looked after a while, Adams had disappeared into the private room.
He must have seen her. So what? Her purpose here was to get his hair specimen.
When the food was served, she ate it very slowly. Adams finally came out of the private dining room to go to the gents. Summer quickly got up and followed him. Afraid of losing him, she scurried up. But after going around a corner, she lost him.
Just then, someone patted her on her shoulder from behind. She looked back over her shoulder and was surprised to see Adams with a cigarette in his mouth.
“You are looking for me?” He looked at her, all smiles.
Summer was transfixed for a second before she recovered her composure. “No. I am going to the ladies’ room.”
