Chapter 304 Want Me to Stay the Night?

Book:CEO's Substitute Wife Published:2024-5-1

Summer held her forehead feeling slightly irritated. “What are you following me for?”
Jerome did not mind Summer’s irritability at all. Instead, he smiled. “Don’t you want to know about the secrets of the Emerson family that I know?”
“Are you willing to tell me?” Summer did not believe that Jerome would be so generous.
Jerome’s expression changed a little. “Am I that unbearable to you?”
This question was something Summer did not even need to think twice.
But Vicky had mentioned something previously.
So Summer asked him with interest. “After Vicky’s indecent video was exposed, why were you still with her? What sort of handle she had over you?”
Summer did not believe at all that Jerome would tell her all of the Emerson family secrets he knew.
So, she would rather ask something she had always been curious about, although Jerome might not be willing to say it.
Jerome was silent for a while: “You are curious?”
“Yeah.” Summer said as she walked towards the elevator. “Or else why would I’d ask you that?”
By the time Summer reached the elevator, she heard Jerome’s voice behind her. “Treat me to a meal and I’ll tell you.”
Summer smiled and said nothing.
“You don’t believe me?” Jerome said.
Summer entered the elevator. “Asking me when you already knew the answer?”
Summer turned around and noticed that Jerome stood unmoving outside the elevator. Raising an eyebrow, she asked. “Not leaving?”
Jerome curled his lips, and let out a very reluctant smile. “You head off first then.”
Summer felt that perhaps her words earlier had hurt him.
But what she said was the truth.
She did not do anything that wronged Jerome and had no need to accommodate him.
Throughout the night, Jerome kept on repeating that she and Leonardo was not fit for each other, and that was already the limit of her tolerance for him.
Even Jessica did not say anything to her about Leonardo, where did Jerome find the face to do so?
Was it because he helped her escape before?
But such things should not be counted like that.

After Summer left the hotel and was about to hail a cab by the roadside did she recall that she had not told Leonardo she was leaving.
Just as she took out her phone and wanted to call Leonardo, a car suddenly stopped before her.
By the time she looked up, the rear door of the car opened, and an arm stretched out and pulled her into it.
Summer was stunned for a moment, and just as she wanted to call out for help, a familiar voice rang beside her. “It’s me.”
Hearing that, Summer cried in surprise. “Leonardo?”
“Yes.” The man holding her whispered back.
The same moment Summer heaved a sigh of relief, she was also pissed as she held her hands out, and pounded on him twice. “Don’t do this again. It’s scary.”
Leonardo responded with literally no sincerity. “Oh.”
By the time they started talking, the car had already moved.
The car was driven to a sparsely populated area before stopping, and Tim got out of the car.
With only Summer and Leonardo left in the car, Leonardo’s hand became restless.
He grabbed Summer and placed her on his lap, as he kissed the length of her neck with his burning lips, before planting it on hers.
While the car’s air-conditioning was still on, Summer felt a little warm.
Leonardo had one hand clasped against her waist, while another stroked her fair and slender legs… His intentions could not be more obvious.
“Leonardo.” Summer whispered as she called out for him to stop.
Leonardo seemed to have not heard it as his hand had already started fumbling about looking for the zip at her back collar.
He squeezed against the small zipper, and started pulling it down as he slid his wide palm into the dress, and easily peeled her dress open.
Summer was embarrassed and angry at the same time and held his mischievous hand in place. “Stop…”
Leonardo’s breathing had already become heavy, and he held Summer’s hand instead, interlocking his fingers with hers as he pressed against her lips and whispered, “No one will see us.”
“Tim…”
Leonardo’s was panting a little, but his voice was crisp and clear. “Tim had already left.”
“Still a no.” This is inside a car after all…
With Summer unwilling, Leonardo did not insist, and after hugging and kissing her for a good while did he allowed her to get dressed and embraced her quietly.
Summer asked him. “When did you come out?”
She remembered that when she left, Leonardo was still talking to others.
But by the time she got to the roadside, Leonardo and Tim had already come down.
“I followed suit the moment I saw you left.”
And the remaining warmth in Leonardo’s voice covered it with a layer of indescribable warmth, a warmth that wrapped around Summer.
Summer smiled silently at the edge of her lips and said nothing.
Suddenly, Leonardo asked her aloud. “Want to know Jerome’s secret?”
“What?” Summer did not know why he would suddenly bring up Jerome.
“Jerome is not a child of the Patel family. His father is not physically capable, so in order to continue the line, and to save face, he had allowed his mother to get someone to give birth to Jerome.”
Leonardo’s voice was originally low-pitched, and this moment, when he purposely suppressed his voice right by her ear, it was music to her ears so much so that she felt numb in the scalp.
Summer was stunned for a good few seconds before managing a reaction. “Is that so…”
“Vicky had managed threatened Jerome after finding out about this…” Summer said after a pause. “And Jerome already knew about this? Then he…”
Leonardo laughed. “As he is not his father’s own flesh and blood, the latter was naturally guarded against him, and Jerome knew this very well. So in order to allow the Patel family to live a peaceful life, he had to play dumb.”
Summer nodded, before reacting violently. “You overheard me and Jerome talking!”
“Heh.” Leonardo snorted, as he prodded her with some part of his body, his voice hoarse. “Since you are that energetic, let’s do something else then!”
Summer was speechless.

The two stayed in the car for a while, and Leonardo drove Summer back.
But after Leonardo drove the car over, he did not drive it away.
“It’s for you.” Leonardo placed the car key in Summer’s hand.
He could not pick up Summer every now and then and had to get her a car.
Summer only then noticed that the car Leonardo had driven her back was white.
The car’s model was smooth and elegant, and not too expensive either, about two to three hundred thousand, something that Summer could exactly afford.
Leonardo then told her. “Everything has already been done, drive safely.”
Summer took a step forward, as she held his face and gave him a peck on the lips as she smiled. “Thank you.”
Under the dim light, Leonardo’s eyes deepened. “In that case, want me to stay the night?”
