Summer became anxious. “What did Grandpa say to you? Why are you keeping quiet? I get anxious when I see you this way!”
Leonardo sat down on the edge of the bed. She stood right in front of him, and he had to look up to see her face.
“Grandpa said…”
He suddenly paused. Summer was waiting for him to continue, thinking that Grandpa Emerson must have told him something important.
Leonardo saw her serious face and continued, “He wants us to have more children.” His tone and expression were as serious as they could get.
Summer was struck dumb. Then she realized that Leonardo was bluffing, and she reached out to screw up his hair. “I’m serious, don’t joke around!”
“I’m serious too.” Leonardo caught her hands, drew her into his arms, and landed his kisses on her.
Summer knew that he did not want to tell her. This was how he would behave whenever he had something that he did not want to talk about. He would do something else to try and divert her attention. He knew everything about her, yet he kept secrets from her.
As if out of anger, Summer bit him on the lip. She did not hold back and let her teeth sink into his skin. Then, the metallic taste of blood started to spread in her mouth.
Leonardo stopped for a second, and his kisses became even more fervent.
“Mmm… Let me check on you…” The taste of blood became strong, so she wanted to see how bad his wound was.
Yet, Leonardo ignored her and held her head with his hands as he stepped up his fiery kisses. His tongue slipped into her mouth, and he sucked on her sweet tongue hungrily. When he finally pulled out his tongue, he bit and licked her hot lips again.
In the end, she was placed on the bed with her lips and tongue feeling numb as well as swollen. It was a long kiss, and she almost gasped for air. Lying flat on her back, she heard him fumbling with his clothes; she saw him undressing. She thought he was going to put on his pajamas and hit the sack, but it turned out that he was not. Instead, he climbed into bed and started to undress her.
Summer had a bad feeling and pulled her clothes tightly around her. “What are you doing, Leonardo?”
“Getting you undressed and sleeping.” Leonardo was over her, eyes and hands busy with undoing the button of her shirt.
As Leonardo was bare-chested, she could see the muscles on his chest and body as she looked up. Looking away from him, she reached out to stop him.
“I’ll sleep with my clothes on.”
“That won’t be comfortable,” Leonardo insisted.
There was no way she could fight him off. It went without saying that she ended up naked. Leonardo tucked her under the duvet and he hugged her from behind as they lay on their sides. Their bodies were intimately pressed against each other in that position. It was also a posture that could lead to things getting out of hand.
Summer could clearly feel his physiological reaction. Not just that, she also felt his length sensually rubbing against her back. He was hugging her from behind, and in that posture…
“Leonardo, let go of me…” Her voice was trembling.
“Don’t move.” Leonardo’s voice was husky, his breath blowing against the back of her ear, which felt hot like it was about to go up in flames.
“Then why are you moving…” Summer felt helpless. He asked her not to move, yet he was grinding up against her.
Leonardo mumbled as he kissed her on the neck, his voice hoarse. “I’ll just keep it out here. You can go to sleep.”
How could she sleep when he was doing that to her? It was not like she was just a block of wood with no feelings.
“Can’t sleep?” Leonardo was heard speaking again. “Kiss me, then.”
It was rare for him to expressively make such a request, less so in that pleading tone.
She got soft-hearted and turned her head to kiss him. Grandpa Emerson must have said something that made Leonardo behave out of character. It was normally difficult to tell the mood of a reticent person from his expression and words. Strangely, Summer could easily sense his changing mood.
Leonardo let out a sigh of satisfaction after he got a kiss from Summer. He then let go of her, got out of bed, and entered the bathroom.
“Leonardo?” Feeling puzzled, she called him. He was apparently not done yet.
Leonardo looked back at her with a mischievous expression. “I’m done.”
Summer could not make head or tail of it; his member was apparently still very awake. Leonardo did not disturb her further as it was late at night, and she fell asleep in no time.
Leonardo came out of the bathroom, his body damp.
Seeing that Summer had fallen asleep, he helped her put on her sleeping gown.
He was very gentle, trying not to wake her up. She was half-awake but was quickly coaxed back into sleep.
Men thought with their members; it was both right and wrong. S*x was addictive, especially when you had your loved one in your arms, but sometimes, emotional satisfaction was more important than a bodily one.
…
It was New Year’s Eve the next day. Summer was jolted out of her sleep by footsteps outside the door.
“What time is it?”
Still groggy, she asked Leonardo.
“It’s still early. Go back to sleep.” His voice sounded husky as he was half-awake.
“No.” Summer shook her head. She could not sleep anymore after she was woken up by the noise.
So, they both got out of bed and put on their clothes before they went out together. Today was the most significant day of the year. Everywhere they went, all the maids had big smiles on their faces. As they were about to arrive in the dining room, Summer’s mobile phone suddenly rang.
It was Karen. Summer was hesitant on whether to answer the call, but at last, she picked it up.
“Summer, will you be coming back this New Year? Let me know in advance so that I can make some preparations,” Karen said.
Summer had never thought of visiting her family during the New Year. She did not have any feelings toward the Jarrett family anymore. Even her relationship with her mom, Karen was just in name, so she made up her mind.
“I’ll ask someone to send something back to you. If you’re busy then, let the maids receive it.” She broke Karen’s last bubble of hope.
Karen had tried to see Summer previously but was shooed away by Leonardo. Thinking of that, Karen asked, “Is Leonardo stopping you from coming home?”
“What?” Summer did not understand why Karen thought it was Leonardo who was stopping her.
“When I quarreled with your dad the last time and went to see you, they told me you were not in. I waited outside until Leonardo came home, and he sent me away.” Karen still felt a little scared when she thought about what happened that day.
Summer was startled. “Are you talking about the time when you stayed in Jerome’s place?”
“That’s right.”
