After the meal, Summer brought Douglas back to his room. As they went in, she closed the door behind her, appearing mysterious the whole time.
Puzzled, Douglas asked, “What are you doing? My elder cousin was looking daggers at me when you brought me upstairs earlier. He’ll kick me out of the house for sure if he finds out you’ve closed the door.”
“No, he won’t.” Leonardo may have seemed harsh to Douglas, but the fact that he allowed Douglas to stay in his house showed he still liked him.”
“You have to help me if he really kicks me out.” Douglas shrugged, sitting down on the table. “Tell me, why are you being so secretive? Have you decided to divorce him?”
“Hey, how can a kid like you keep talking about divorce?” Summer gave him some “good news”, knocking him on the head.
“Ouch! It hurts!” He reached up to rub his head.
Summer was not in the mood to mess around with him. “Has he been this way all along?”
Back when Leonardo disguised himself as Douglas, she knew he was a little cranky, but he was not as erratic as he was now. Since the restoration of his identity, he turned unpredictable and possessive. He knew everything she did, yet he did not reveal himself. He had become even more unbridled.
“He’s been this way all along, very sinister.” As if he had thought of something, he shrank back. “To be honest, I still hope you divorce him. You can consider my elder brother instead.”
“Didn’t you want me to be your girlfriend?” Summer forced a smile.
“I have a gut feeling that you probably don’t like me. A gentleman like my elder brother is suitable for you and surely better than Leonardo. He’s too mean!” He made a face.
Summer burst out laughing. “Do you know how many women in the country dream of marrying your brother? Even if he wants me, I’m just a divorcee. He deserves better.”
“You’re just as good as he is.”
He spoke without thinking, but she could hear the sincerity in his voice. Summer was startled, wondering if she really was that good.
Seeing Summer fall into silence, Douglas felt a little embarrassed. Scratching his head, he asked, “Do you still remember when you found out I was staying in your house without your permission? I thought you would hire someone to beat me up. Instead, you even cooked for me…”
Summer decided to burst his bubble. “I didn’t send someone to beat you up because you said you were Douglas.”
“Even if I didn’t say that, you wouldn’t have sent someone to beat me up.”
“How do you know that?”
“I just know.” Douglas forced her outside the door. “Get out of my room, please. I have homework to do, and you have too many questions.”
The door was slammed shut behind her. Summer looked back, a smile spreading across her face. The rascal knew nothing!
Back in her room, she saw Leonardo sitting on the bed with his back against the headboard. He was reading a document and did not even look up at her. He was going to bed so early tonight? Summer did not talk to him. She just entered the bathroom, and when she came back out, Leonardo had put away the documents. Still leaning against the headboard, he stared at her. She looked down at herself to check her sleeping gown, which covered nearly every inch of her body. She slowly walked to the bedside, whisked open the quilt, and lay down.
As soon as she closed her eyes, she felt Leonardo inching closer. By the time she opened her eyes, Leonardo was nearly over her, his lips inches away from hers. She froze for a second, and it was during that frozen second that he pressed his open lips to hers. His body was over hers, and she felt shrouded in his scent. She was almost suffocating, her mind turning blank. Leonardo moved his kisses down to her neck, holding and guiding her hand down to his private part as he spoke in a soft, low voice.
“You did a good job learning in the Golden Cauldron that day. Let’s do a revision today.”
Reminded of what happened in the Golden Cauldron that day, her face heated up, and she blushed. She frantically tried to pull her hand back, but it was useless. In desperation, she swore, “Revision my foot!”
“Don’t swear in bed.” Panting, Leonardo gave her a kiss on her lips. “But you may moan louder later.”
Summer knew this was going to happen someday, but she still resented it. Hearing his lewd remark, every inch of her muscles froze. Leonardo seemed to have read her mind as he suppressed his breathing like he was not too happy about her reaction. Despite that, he just said softly, “Give me a handj*b if you don’t want to make out.”
She was at his mercy, but since Leonardo made a compromise, she did not dare say no. Gritting her teeth in shame, she started with his hand guiding hers.
…
It felt like forever. Summer’s hand became dog-tired when she finally felt the thing in her hand throb, and the familiar hot creamy stuff spurted out onto her hand.
As Leonardo pulled a few tissue papers and wiped the stuff off her hand, she faced the other direction, too shameful to even look at it. Just then, amid the silence, she heard Leonardo speaking.
“Still think I don’t last long enough?”
She blushed. Summer shook his hand off and jumped out of bed, heading into the bathroom. He chuckled as she scurried away.
…
The next day, as Summer came downstairs, she saw Douglas sitting on the couch, yawning big time. However, Leonardo was nowhere to be seen. She went over and patted him on the shoulder.
“Didn’t you sleep last night?”
“Not until three in the morning. Too much work to do.” After he said that, he closed his eyes again, lying down on the couch this time.
“Where’s your cousin?”
“I don’t know. He’s probably gone out…”
Summer breathed a sigh of relief. He had better not be in, she thought to herself.
After breakfast, she headed back to Jarrett Group. The moment she arrived, she was informed to attend a meeting. It was a top management meeting, but Lynn had specifically asked for her attendance, so she went.
Just as she expected, the company’s products had begun to face boycotts from the consumers. Sales were plummeting, and business partners were mulling over pulling out their money. Out of the blue, someone came up with a proposal.
“People just like to go with the flow. If we can get some celebrity to be our products’ spokesperson, we might be able to turn the tide.”
“Who would you suggest?”
“Adams. He’s the youngest actor who’s ever gotten the best actor award. If we manage to get him to be our product ambassador, with his vast number of fans, we’ll sail through this!”
Summer looked at the proposer, her lips curling into a smirk. They were thinking of getting Adams to be an ambassador for Jarrett Group’s products… Dream on.
