Chapter 203(20)

Book:Her possessive alpha Published:2024-6-2

When Ava woke up the next morning in a luxurious bed, she panicked until she realized where she was; the mistress’s quarters. He had made her sleep there yesterday; she wanted to refuse, but when he mentioned taking her back to prison, her refusal died in her throat. It will be much harder to escape from there; besides, she hated how cold the cell got at night.
She hadn’t slept much last night because Vivian kept raining curses at her.
The b*tch had kept running her mouth till it was almost daybreak. She wished she was invisible. She would have slipped into Vivian’s room and then closed her mouth.
She knew Vivian was going to be a big problem for her. The only way to avoid her was to get in Fillip’s good graces. She will never accept being Fillip’s mistress, but she will pretend to be civil towards him before she escapes.
A knock at her door interrupted her thinking.
“Come in.”
Mara and two other girls came in and bowed before Ava.
“Good morning, Mistress Ava,” they said.
“Good morning. Why are you here?”
“Lord Fillip said to prepare you for the warriors’ occasion.”
“What is that?”
“I don’t know, Mistress, but it has to do with celebrating their strength in the past war.”
“Fine, you can draw my bath and yours too.”
“Draw mine, mistress. I don’t understand?”
“Have you had your bath since yesterday?”
“No, mistress, we were too busy in the kitchen,” they answered.
“Then Draw your bath and my own too. You girls don’t smell so good.”
“Sorry, Mistress Ava, but I will have to reject your kindness,” they said with their heads bowed low.
“I could punish you for disobeying me, you know,” Ava threatened, and the girls started to tremble.
Ava laughed, “Mara, dear, just tell the woman in charge that Mistress Ava said to give you fresh clothes so you girls can bathe. Tell her I said that your body’s stench will kill me if I let you bathe me without doing so.”
Mara nodded and left to deliver Ava’s message to their madam.
“You can go ahead with drawing the water,” Ava told the other girl.
Mara returned with fresh clothes a few seconds after the girl finished drawing the bath water.
Ava rejected the girls’ help; she took her bath herself. She then asked the girls to take as much time as needed while she left to put her clothes on.
Ava spent much time doing her makeup today; she wanted Fillip to continue lusting after her to escape Vivian’s anger. She packed her hair in a ponytail; it always highlighted her cheekbones.
When the girls came out, they helped her dress up right after she slipped on her dress.
Fillip knocked on the door and entered without waiting for a response.
“Ava, are you……”
Fillip didn’t finish his statement. He was gobsmacked. He let his mouth hang open in an “o” for some minutes before he caught himself.
“You look beautiful like the morning sun,” Filip complimented.
Ava hid a pleased smile. The fool was, of course, still interested.
“Thank you, Fillip. Could you explain why I was so rudely awakened by something about a feast?”
Filip waved his hand. Mara and the other girl bowed before him and then ran off.
“You see, beautiful, I successfully took over from the protector of realms. I defeated all the soldiers he had, so I am simply celebrating my victory.” He smiled and walked toward Ava, who stood up from her vanity chair.
“Oh, so you celebrate the day that you betrayed Lucas? Wow, I feel like celebrating with you,” Ava said sarcastically.
“Maybe for you, it was the day I betrayed your beloved Lucas, but for me, it was the day I became an Alpha. Lucas had something I wanted, so I took it. I don’t see any of it as my fault. It’s simply how the world works.”
Ava bit her tongue to stop herself from replying to him. She reminded herself she needed to be in his good graces for now.
She ignored him and then turned to the mirror, pretending to inspect her makeup.
“Shall we?” Fillip said.
“Where are we going?”
“To have breakfast before the ceremony starts,” Fillip said, holding out his arm.
Ava smirked and took the arm, letting Fillip lead the way.
“You are so civil to me this morning; does this mean you are considering my request? Give us a chance, and you will never regret it. You will be my mistress, and that will make everyone bow before you. I promise you that.”
“Isn’t that the same thing you promised Vivian? Do you think of me as stupid, Fillip?” Ava said, then laughed softly.
He stopped in front of his room. One of the maids pulled the curtain aside.
They entered the room and then walked to the already set breakfast table. There were many dishes, like last time, and many maids were waiting for them.
Two maids rushed forward immediately, then pulled out a chair for Fillip and Ava.
“Thank you,” Ava said to the maid, and then she sat down.
“That is what I like about you; you never care about class or anything.”
“Thanks, but sadly, you do because you and Vulcan keep torturing the weak.”
Fillip laughed, “I never said I was open-minded about it, just as you are. Of course, I care because I need the strong. After all, only the strong survive. Besides, Lucas shared the same sentiment before you came along. Too bad he had to die for me to achieve what I wanted.
“You are a monster,” Ava cursed.
“I can be one in bed too.” He smiled at Ava coyly.
Ava almost vomited when she tried to imagine her and Fillip. Fillip wasn’t ugly, but there are two shades of ugly. The skin shade and the soul shade The worst one is the soul shade. Your appearance doesn’t count, but how you interact with people does. People like Fillip are ugly in their souls. They treat people like dirt and take advantage of weak and innocent people.
“Sure, good for you; it is none of my business.”
“Come on, don’t pretend that you don’t want me. Maybe you didn’t want me in the beginning, but now every day, you change your mind. Who would have thought you would live in my mistress’s quarters and dine with me? You also just agreed to escort me to an occasion to celebrate my awesomeness. So, in my opinion, I think you have started to warm up towards me,” he remarked, then raised a glass to Ava.
“Sure, if you believe so, who am I not to? I’m sure you have the convincing words written somewhere, so you can always use it on your prey,” Ava clinked her glass to his. “Just like Vivian.”
Fillip’s gaze turned murderous. He grabbed Ava’s neck, almost choking her, but then he released her.
“Listen now, Ava; listen very carefully.” I don’t have the words written anywhere. As for Vivian, I think she should be eternally grateful to me. I made a common swine my mistress. Your dear Lucas had already used her beyond repair before he cast her out. “Do you have anything to say for him?”
“I think…” Ava began.
Fillip placed a hand to her mouth and said, “Shush, I’m not done talking. I gave her shelter and food and made her mistress, making everyone under my rule bow for her. So I owe her nothing; in fact, she better be thankful, or I’ll cast her out to the streets like your dear Lucas did. Now finish eating. I would like to see what they prepared in honour of my festival.”
“I lost my appetite. Can we go now?”
“But we still have some minutes left; a Lord over the slaves and an Alpha to Dawn pack members never come to the occasion before their subjects.” His gaze turned lustful. “I can think of a few things we could do before then.”
Ava stood up immediately, but Fillip yanked her to himself. Then he pinned her to a nearby wall and turned to the servants.
“Leave us immediately.”
They all cleared out, and then Fillip turned to Ava.
“Don’t worry, princess, when I f*ck you, you will be the one pleading with me to do so; now show me and let me see.”
He pulled down the front of Ava’s gown, exposing her breasts. Ava began to fight him, but he pinned her very well.
“Pervert, r*pist, you are less than an animal, not even a man.”
He smiled and then used his nose to rub Ava’s nipples since he used his leg to hold her in place.
“Having you in my bed willingly will be the best thing ever; you have such a perky and succulent breast. Such big and round buttocks with creamy thighs will be all mine. I will show you the pleasure that Lucas could never show you,” he rasped.
Ava looked down at the tent in his trousers and said, “Never, I am not interested. Besides, there is not much to see there. Now, let me go, cocksucker.”
He smiled before he released Ava.
“Haven’t you heard it isn’t about the size, it is what you could do with it, and besides, if De’Clan was good enough, you wouldn’t have cheated on him with your Alpha Ray.”
Ava was about to reply when someone knocked on the door.
“What is it?” Fillip asked.
“My Alpha, the occasion is about to start.”
“Go on; I will be there soon.”
Fillip turned to Ava. “Fix yourself; I don’t want to share your beautiful body with anyone.”
Ava ignored him and fixed her dress. He extended his hand to her, but she ignored it. He laughed and then started to walk outside.
It was all decorated when they got to the former feast hall of the Dawn Patrol. Ava searched for Vulcan, but he wasn’t there. Only soldiers and other people Ava didn’t know filled the hall. An orchestra was performing.
Immediately after Fillip reached the hall’s centre, the music paused, and someone from their band began singing their praises. Everybody stood up immediately.
“Long live Alpha Fillip, the protector of realms and the Lord over the slaves, has come in. He who saves us from danger and lets us eat at his table. He never lets us go hungry but always shows us where to enrich ourselves. LONG LIVE ALPHA FILLIP, OUR ALPHA AND OUR LORD!” The member recited.
“LONG LIVE ALPHA FILLIP,” Everyone answered, standing.
When Fillip reached Lucas’ throne chair, he sat down, and Ava sat too on the chair she used to sit in next to Lucas. He turned to everyone.
“You may sit; today is for merriment. Vulcan had something to take care of, so he is not here. As we celebrate today, we shall do so again when we take over the whole werewolf realm, along with the other packs.”
There was a loud shout before the music started to play again, and the soldiers continued drinking and dancing.
Being civil to Fillip wasn’t as easy as Ava thought; she better finds a way to escape very soon, or the bastard might force her hand. She kept a straight face while they feasted. Fillip kept trying to get her to take the wine, but she didn’t. She only pretended to do so. He kept throwing lustful gazes at her breast, but she chose to ignore it.
Ava excused herself after a while, and Fillip sent eight of his guards who weren’t drunk to escort her back. He must have known that she might try to escape today.
She tried so hard to distract the guards, but none were willing to move an inch.
“Don’t try anything stupid,” one of the guards warned.
