The tree of knowledge
Sabrina stormed away in anger as she watched the guards move her things out of her former room into a room in the lower quarters, the room was much smaller than her former one, meant for wolves in the same ranking as her.
That bitch! She dares to humiliate her like this, she dares to stand in the way of her plans, oh Ava will pay all right, now she knows she has to go to extremes to get rid of Ava, if she doesn’t, all her efforts to have Lucas dangling at her fingertips will be futile, the true love between Ava and Lucas keeps thwarting all her plans; she knows then that Ava has to go if she’s to come anywhere near Lucas again.
On her way to her new bedroom, she met Nani carrying a bouquet of white flowers, a group of servants followed behind her carrying some decorations.
Nani stopped to check on her with a smile on her face. “Oh, hello Sabrina, how are you feeling now?”
“Much better thank you.” she said, returning a feigned smile before she spotted the flowers, “and what are these lovely roses for?”
“They’re decorations dear, for the joining ceremony tomorrow evening.”
Sabrina frowned. “Joining ceremony? Tomorrow evening?”
“Yes, are you not aware? The dawn pack will have its first Luna tomorrow, I know Ava will make a great queen!” Nani beamed with excitement before rushing off with the servants to set up the decorations in the hall.
If Ava becomes Luna, she will have a much higher ranking than her, she will have the power to banish, or even worse kill her if she deems fit. This is bad, as long as Ava is Luna, she will not dare to come anywhere near Lucas lest she faces punishment from the queen. She knows she has to do something to get rid of Ava, and she has to do it fast.

Midnight came, and Sabrina wore her cloak in an attempt to leave the packhouse, she has thought of a plan, a plan to completely destroy the union between Lucas and his mate, but she needs help from outside these walls. She wants to go to the tree of knowledge, the tree that makes sure nothing goes unforgotten, this tree has existed long before her birth, for over a thousand years, the oldest tree in the world, the same tree that told her about Rabbi’s deceit long ago.
She knows she has to go there if she wants to find something to use against Ava, something that will create the biggest feud between the two mates, something so serious that they might even end up killing each other, and only the tree of knowledge can give her such information.
She left the pack house and went to the gates separating the dawn pack boundaries from the outer territories, two guards stood there on night duty, guarding anyone from coming in or out. As soon as they noticed a hooded figure coming towards them, they turned, holding out their weapons.
“Who goes there? Reveal yourself,” one of them demanded.
Sabrina didn’t remove her cloak, only sent a mighty blow in their direction, her powers sent them flying in the air, knocking them unconscious before she quickly ran out of the barrier, a huge pair of wings protruded from her back then, and within a few seconds she launched into the air, flying towards the hidden valley, the home of the tree of knowledge.
**********
The hidden valley is invisible to the eye of any mortal, even werewolves and vampires cannot access it because of their human genes, Sabrina has been the only visitor ever since the witches were wiped out, and the tree… well the tree holds her very in high regard because she’s one of the very few powerful immortals that still exist.
As soon as she landed into the valley, the tree’s roots sensed her presence, “Who goes there?” She heard a feeble voice say.
She knew who it was speaking, Lehi, the spirit that inhabits the tree.
“It is I, the one who is known by many names, but the tree of knowledge knows me as Susannah, the last witch, I carry a different face now, the face of Sabrina.”
“Susannah, Sabrina, of course, the tree of knowledge sees all, I have been expecting you since you left the dawn pack house, dear friend.”
“Yes, then you should also know why I came here.”
“With this mighty tree, nothing is truly hidden, no tale goes untold, this is the tree that knows what has, what is, and what is to come. You seek revenge against the soul of the one who wronged you, and there is someone standing in your way, is that correct?”
Sabrina scowled. “Ava Maynard, I seek her deepest regret, I seek the one thing that has caused the greatest rift between her and her mate. I know how the moon goddess works, she doesn’t always make things all shiny, there must be something the both of them disagree on, there must be something that will ruin their union, something that will make the two of them hate each other so much.”
“You have come to the right place dear friend, but before I give you the answer you came for, I must warn you; at the very end of the path you seek lies your doom, your destruction, if you go ahead with the plans you have in mind, it will not end well for you Susannah.”
“Save your advice for someone who needs it Lehi, I did not wait for over 800 years for you to tell me what to do. I care more about my quest for revenge than my own life, if I have to die for the sake of Lucas De’ Clan’s destruction, then I will do it wholeheartedly, this is my destiny that I have waited for so long, my life means nothing; if I have to give it in exchange for Rabbi’s soul, then so be it.”
“Very well then Susannah, I will not interfere in your quest for revenge, I have only told you what needs to be told, it is now your choice to act upon it or not. I will now show you Ava’s deepest regret…” the branches of the large tree began to form a round frame, and through the frame’s bright light, Sabrina saw a series of happenings from the past,
