Once a screw up always a screw up. That was what my grandma always told me. Amazingly I killed my parents when I was still a toddler because I got too excited and my dad forgot to put down the fire on the burner, causing our small home to burn down killing my parents with it.
My fault, all my fault. Just like what I did with Basilea. Apparently, she did not love me back, and my grand gesture almost killed King Armand and almost caused a war between two kingdoms.
I am Savaric and I believe I’m cursed, and apparently, hell could not contain my stupidity. I raised havoc wherever I go. Even down in the hottest pit of hell.

I’d rather be dead than feel the immense pain from the gargoyle skin that was peeling off my body. My ears can even hear the crackling sound of the hard shell skin as my blood rushed to my ears. I was crying, sobbing until I didn’t even have the energy anymore to even hold on to Magnus.
Humiliation for latching onto my enemy slash savior was nothing compared to the pain that I was trying to endure. I was not fighting anymore, I was letting him hold my body close as he flapped his majestic angel wings and flew us to where he was going to seek help for me.
I wanted to be dead, but I know that the witch had made me an outer skin, a gargoyle skin so that I can survive the burning heat of hell. I was terrified when the gargoyle skin would form back once whatever was going on with my body was done torturing me. I should’ve told Magnus about the situation, but the pain was so intense that I couldn’t even form my words.
Shocked by the abrupt landing on the ground, my body trembled and I lost my footing. But Magnus helped me up, and with one movement of his other hand, he gestured while chanting some ancient words then opening a portal to another place, or maybe dimension. I don’t even pay any attention when his grip on me was tight and it made a cracking sound on my outer gargoyle skin.
“Oh, damn…” I whimpered in pain trying to shove his arm from my body but he held me tighter until he took me into the portal and from there everything went black.
I didn’t know how long I was out, but I woke up in a small cottage. A male human as big as Magnus was talking to him. His hair was long, he was shirtless, with muscles and chest hair that women would tug on as they straddle on his lap.
Wait, why the fuck did my mind just went there? And as if the man was aware that I was awakened, he came to my side.
“Well, hello there. How are you feeling today?”
“Today? how long was I…”
“Almost a week now, not that I’m complaining. You just brought back my Magnus.”
“Huh?” I didn’t get a chance to string my words when I looked down at my naked body. I was all human skin, there wasn’t a single spec of gargoyle complexion on my body. I was once a human gargoyle, a figure that was not easy on the eyes which made me flattered when the demon succubus wanted me.
“Oh no…” it only took me a couple of seconds to remember that turning to my human body was my worst fear. Because when the time comes, the curse will give me an almost deadly transition back to the gargoyle skin I had been cursed with before.
“But why? You looked gorgeous in your human skin.” The man winked and brushed my upper arm with the tip of his fingers as if he was flirting with me. I had never had any attraction to a male kind, I was a heterosexual. But his sultry voice caresses my inside and it made me notice him as the beautiful creature that he was, a human were-witch. The dangerous kind, I could feel it in my bones.
“Gerold, stop hovering over him, he’s still in recovery,” Magnus said crossing his arms over his chest, resting his back by the door frame. The tip of his black wings touched the floor showing its masculine elegance.
“Oh, my sweet angel, are you jealous?” Gerold, the were-witch that Magnus called earlier sway his hips and walked elegantly towards him. I thought I heard Magnus growled, but then it must’ve been only my imagination. He was said to be deeply in love with king Armand, there was no way he let go of his feelings that quickly and jumped into bed with this hairy witch.
“I’m far from sweet,” the fallen angel grabbed the were-witch by his neck, forcing him closer, and gave him a bruising kiss, forcing his mouth open and visibly shoving his tongue in his mouth drawling out deep heavy moans from both men.
I had to remind myself to close my mouth when the show of dominance clearly made me uncomfortable between the legs. But the two men seemed to be engrossed in their kiss when Magnus grabbed his waist and pushed Gerold’s back against the wall and continued their kiss. His wings give them the privacy they needed while their grunts and moans were filling up the room.
Feeling like I was intruding on their private time I tried to get up, there was another door. If only I could get myself up, but my bones felt like they were poking my flesh. I bit my lip to hold my pain but the whimper slipped out and Gerold quickly went to my side.
“Shit, sorry, I always get easily distracted. You see… fallen angels are my weakness.” He gave me a flirtatious wink and urged me to rest back on the bed. He swiftly busied himself with his candles and burning more sage, mumbling stuff about a healing circle then started repeating incantations with language I did not recognize.
Magnus left the room and I was alone with Gerold when he started covering my body with the softest animal fur I’ve ever felt against my skin.
“Your skin is more sensitive, this is the softest fur I have. Rest now, I will be back with your dinner.” His fingers weaved through my hair and he smiled when he saw me closing my eyes in contentment. It has been too long since someone touched me in a non-sexual way. I didn’t realize I missed the feeling, but apparently I crave it and it hurt me a bit when he backed away though he only did so to go get my dinner.
The meal consists of simple bread and savory cream soup but the dish hasn’t touched my taste buds since the day I was cursed down to the pit of hell. I almost cried when the soggy bread filled my mouth, and I apparently did when Gerold wiped a rogue tear from my cheek.
“Sorry, it’s been too long.” I almost choke from the simplest burst of flavor. “B… bread, we don’t have this in hell,” I chuckled nervously while I attempted to control my urge to dunk the bread and failed. I eat it whole and drink the hot soup then make sure I licked the bowl clean.
The soft chuckle made me turn my head and I felt myself flushed pink when Gerold put a cup of coffee and I could barely hold my moans when the smell made me shiver.
“Has anyone told you how easy it is to please you?” He looked amused at me and helped me sit up so I could eat without spilling any precious food.
“No.” Honestly, no one had ever said so, there was no point in pleasing the guy who had always been a screw up. I didn’t say what they all thought of me, instead, I continued to drink my coffee and let him babble until he exited the room and let me rest for the night.
After he left me to my privacy, I rested on the bed gazing out the window and sighed at the bright moonlit sky. I never realized I missed looking at the stars as my eyes were getting heavy and sleep invaded my body. I welcomed the peace as my body healed before the curse came back to me in full force.
