“Choose wisely,” Martha patted his shoulder.
“Seriously?” Aiden tilted his head and turned to look at his dad who looked calm.
That man knew Martha didn’t stand a chance.
Aiden glanced at the traveling bag his dad had already held tightly and sighed.
“Do you have anywhere to go when you leave here?” He exhaled.
“I… I don’t think I do but I…”
“Let’s go to my house,” he walked toward his dad and then collected the bag from him.
“What are you doing, Aiden?” Martha frowned.
“I won’t interfere in you two’s matter. He is my dad and you are my mother. Sort it however you like, I will not interfere. Dad, let’s go,” he turned to leave.
“You just chose your dad over me, Aiden!” Martha screamed.
“Stop being a crybaby, mum. I’m always around when you need me,” Aiden said, walking towards the door.
“Stop there! Stop!” Martha screamed and rushed towards the door.
“You can’t leave!” She shook her head as she stood in front of the door.
“You want your husband to leave! Mum, you know very well that there’s no place he can go once he leaves here and you still want him to leave. You don’t think I’d let that happen, do you? He is your husband, and he is my father,” Aiden snapped.
“Step aside, mum.”
“No, I won’t,” Martha shook her head vigorously.
“Why?” Aiden sighed.
“I can’t watch you two leave here. No, that can never happen!” She half yelled.
“Mart…”
“Shut up, it’s all your fault! You should babe shut up and pretended as if you didn’t see all of that! You should have pretended as if it never existed!” She interrupted Theodore.
“Wha… What are you saying?” Aiden creased his brows and then glanced at his mother and then father suspiciously.
“Ah… It’s nothing to be worried about,” Theodore waved his hand at Aiden.
“Stop being modest, Aiden knew about it,” Martha scoffed.
“Huh?” Theodore widened his eyes and then turned to look at Aiden.
“Wait, dad knew about it?” Aiden raised a brow.
“And you knew about it?” Theodore asked Aiden.
“So, You’re divorcing dad because he knew?” Aiden asked in disbelief.
“Well…” Martha started looking away.
“It is so embarrassing!” She burst into tears.
“What?” Aiden and Theodore turned to look at each other.
“I accept that I cheated on you with another man but you have no idea how much I hated the fact that you knew about it,” Martha frowned.
“Mum, you could have apologized, that was very easy!” Aiden exclaimed.
“I can’t do that, never,” Martha looked away with a frown.
“You’re so proud, and your ego is ruining this already,” Aiden shook his head and Theodore nudged him gently.
“What?” Martha furrowed her brows.
“Are you going to fight me too?”
“Listen…” Aiden sighed after the silence of a few seconds had ensued.
“You two should sit down, and talk over it again. If you’re still going to get a divorce, I’ll take dad in to live with me,” Aiden pushed the traveling bag and walked towards his mother.
“I truly hope you sort this out,” he smiled shortly at his mother and walked past her.
After Aiden had left, Theodore and Martha stood opposite each other and stared at each other for a few seconds before Martha decided to break the ice.
“I…” She swallowed hard.
“I made a mistake and… I… I am sorry,” she closed her eyes shut.

Tang’s residence.
Xyler watched Skyler play video games on his system while he stylishly press his phone, stealing glances at Skyler who looked so focused on what he was doing.
“Erm, brother,” Xyler cleared his throat and dropped his phone beside him.
“What?” Skyler groaned, not taking his eyes and hands off his game.
“About Luna, what do you think about…”
“What again, what?!” Skyler yelled and turned to face him.
“Why have you been bringing up Luna every time for the past few days? Do you miss her that much?!”
“That’s not…”
“I told you to go on the school trip to get closer to those punks, you’ve not been answering me these days. You only kept bringing her up. We should get revenge very soon!” Skyler snapped.
“Why?”
“What?” Skyler frowned at the question Xyler asked.
“Why should we get revenge on innocent people?” Xyler raised his brows.
“Inno…?”
“Because you are the perpetrator? Is it because you knew about Luna’s death? Is it because you are the reason Luna died!” Xyler bellowed.
“What…”
“I know everything already. I know that Luna died because of a fûcking debt that you owe! You kîlled Luna!”
“What? You àsshôlé, do you have any proof that I did that?” Skyler tilted his head.
“Proof? Oh, I have just that,” Xyler smirked, grabbed the phone that was beside him, and browsed through it.
Skyler widened his eyes as he heard the conversation he had with his guy on his twin brother’s phone.
“What is this?” Skyler frowned his face.
“Why? Does it sound familiar?” He smirked.
“Scumbag, did you bug my phone?!” Skyler sprang from his seat, dashed towards Xyler, and punched him right on the face.
“Does it feel bad that your secret got leaked?” Xyler’s lips tugged into a dark smile.
“A person’s enemy will be from his household… Aiden said it,” Xyler chuckled and wiped the blood that had already smeared on his lips.

Lawrence’s domain.
By the time Aiden arrived back at the house, it was past five in the evening as he had branched his house to check on his kitten and fed it.
He furrowed his brows as he watched Tiffany and Zoey whirl in front of Marlie who clapped her hands with excitement on her face.
“I thought you were not coming again, you didn’t even pick up our calls,” came the voice of Declan who walked out of the kitchen with a bowl of fruit in his hand.
“Baby,” Tiffany half screamed and rushed towards Aiden.
“See how she’s acting as if she hasn’t seen him in years,” Zoey hissed.
“Why did you come late? I missed you,” Tiffany pouted.
“I’m sorry, I stopped by my house. By the way, what are you wearing?” Aiden chuckled as he glanced at her and then at Zoey.
The girls were both wearing pajamas.
“We’re sleeping here,” she answered with a smile on her face.
“Huh?” Aiden widened his eyes.
“Everyone is sleeping here, you, me, Zoey… Everybody,” Tiffany answered.
“B… Why?” Aiden creased his brows.
“Dad said he wants us to stay, and we all agreed, so we’re staying,” she answered.
“Okay… So, where’s dad? I can’t find him anywhere around,” Aiden asked and looked around again.
“He got a call from the office. I heard there’s a protest going on by the citizens,” Declan answered.
“Huh, why?” Aiden asked.
“Apparently, they wouldn’t accept Senator Han leave the office the way he did,” Marlie butt in.
“Woah, no wonder the cab driver that drove me here talked about the traffic going on due to some protest,” Aiden nods his head and then glanced at Tiffany who kept staring at him.
“What’s wrong? Do I have something on my face?” Aiden asked and placed his hand on his cheek.
“No, I’m just wondering if you’ve always looked this cute,” Tiffany said with a serious face.
“What is thisssss?!” Declan choked on the slice of watermelon in his mouth while Marlie and Zoey burst into laughter.
“I’m serious!” Tiffany joined them in laughing.

Guardians’ space.
“So, what are we doing with these leaves?” Chephirah asked as she stared at the leaves the tiger spirit had gathered on the table.
“We can get rid of Akilang with this,” she answered with a smile on her face.
“What? How?” Chephirah frowned.
“Y’all know how hard it is to fetch leaves from the dragon blood tree, right?” She asked.
“Yes. Wait, don’t tell me this is it,” Chephirah widened her eyes.
“Yes,” Medusa answered.
“I’ve only heard of it, I’ve never seen it in person,” Chephirah stared at the leaves in surprise.
“What about it?” Benroy asked.
“I heard it can be used to summon demons. Guardians that turned into demons especially,” Chephirah answered.
“So, how is this going to help?” Benroy asked.
“While Tiffany is sleeping, let’s put it near her. She’s back in New York. Once the scent of the leave fills her nose, she will turn and we’ll get rid of Akilang,” She answered.
“What?” Chephirah frowned.
“We can’t do that. She could get discovered and make things worse for her,” Chephirah protested.
“Well, that’s for her to deal with. I’ll summon Akilang, and get rid of it, once and for all,” Medusa said, and then spaced out, thoughts of how she’ll get rid of Akilang filling her head.
Huh, she was surely going to win.
This was a battle she has been waiting for.
