Aiden’s residence~
“If we keep this up, we’ll get caught before we find what his real aim is. We need to know what the other person is saying as well,” Aiden sighed.
“There’s a way we can know what Xyler is really up to,” Declan, with a cup of ice cream, walked towards Aiden who sat on the couch.
“How?”
“Telephone tapping.”
“Declan?”
“Yeah. You’ve done it before. You know very well how to tap into his phone. That way we can hear what the other person says,” he stood before him, impersonating a pose.
Aiden didn’t want to do this anymore.
The last time he tapped into someone’s phone, he regretted it.
The person was his mother for during the process, he realized his mother was having an affair with another man while his own father was still alive.
Yeah, he knew it was worth tapping into Xyler’s phone.
The guy was getting Tiffany involved already.
There was no way he would allow Tiffany to suffer for whatever the guy had installed for them.
“What if something goes wrong?” Aiden drew his brow together.
“That scumbag involved the lady you like already. Are you really going to be a coward right now?” Declan creased his brow.
“When do we do it? Let’s tap into his phone… As soon as possible,” Aiden nodded his head.
“That is it! That is the spirit!” Declan hit his shoulder playfully.
“Declan,” Aiden called out.
“What if we had done Xyler wrong for real? What if it was us who did him bad as he had said?”
“There’s no way we did that. Although we grew up stubborn, rude, arrogant, you know we never harmed anyone while growing up,” Declan said and sat on the cold tiles slowly.
“I know, but what if?” Aiden tilted his head.
“J… Just chill. We did nothing wrong and even if we did, shouldn’t he just talk to us about it instead of being a snitch.”
“You’re right though.”
“That’s it. Look, I’m hungry. How can a grown-up guy not have anything to eat at home?”
“Coming from someone who can’t properly boil water,” Aiden hissed.
“Excuse you? Bro, you know I can prepare noodles. Even more than you,” Declan rolled his eyes.
“Then go prepare noodles for us. I’m hungry as I am,” Aiden stretched his leg and placed it on Declan’s shoulder.
“Not me!” Declan hissed and pushed Aiden’s leg away aggressively.
“Then sleep. I’ll go and prepare the oats I have at home.”
“Make for me too.”
“Screw you. Just go to your house,” Aiden hissed and stood up slowly.
“I’m not leaving till next week!”
“I’m making a bet that our plan will fail because of you. Idiöt.”
“You can’t blame me. I just can’t stay away from you. I love you!” Declan grinned and made a love sign with his index finger and thumb.
“I hate you… Very much.”

Tiffany sat on the floor picking on her nails with a fallen expression.
What would have happened if Zoey and Aiden ran from her when they saw her wound close up early in the day?
It would have been a disaster.
However, she couldn’t help but think that the worse would happen sooner or later.
She was having difficulty in choosing what she wishes to hear unlike before when she could only listen to whatever she wanted and shut down the rest of the noise with her earpiece.
Now, she even hears the breathing and heartbeat faintly.
The first heartbeat she heard was Aiden’s and that was when the guy held her in his arm to stop her from falling.
The demon in her was really going to ruin her.
It was going to ruin the relationship she had managed to have.
Honestly, she wished someone would just sit her down and tell her everything about her because even she doesn’t know who she was.
The only two people who knew were refusing to tell her.
The mountain guardian and the lion spirit.
Just at the thought of the two unidentified creatures, her room glowed up which indicated that they were around already.
“You summoned us?” The mountain guardian said as soon as he appeared.
“How could I do that?” Tiffany sighed.
“But I…” He was interrupted by the lion spirit who appeared almost immediately.
“Why are you here also?” The mountain guardian frowned.
“I don’t know. I just… I don’t know how it happened. I didn’t come here willingly,” the lion spirit answered.
“Tiffany summoned us,” the mountain guardian said.
“Will you stop lying, please? There’s no way I could do that,” Tiffany rolled her eyes and stood up slowly.
“Akilang had the power to summon other guardians just by calling their names in its mind,” the mountain guardian glanced at the lion spirit then at Tiffany.
“But this is not the first time I’ll be mentioning your names,” she tilted her head, her hands folded tightly across her wrist.
“Akilang… It is breaking loose,” The Lion spirit shook her head.
“What?!”
“Your first extraordinary thing as a human was your wound closing up. The next was you hearing things that are whispered. And now, you can summon us,” the mountain guardian explained.
“It wasn’t me,” Tiffany shook her head.
“I know.”
“I can hear heartbeats also. This is getting frustrating and scary. What am I to do?!” Tiffany screamed.
“Since when do you hear heartbeats?” The lion spirit drew her brows together.
“Does that matter right now? I’m scared my friends will run from me! My wound closed up right in front of them today!”
“They saw your wound close up?” The mountain guardian raised a brow.
“What have you been doing? You don’t even know? Do you expect me to always report about everything happening to me?!” Tiffany yelled.
“Don’t you dare raise your voice at us. We are trying our best also. You have no idea what we had to stake in other to keep you alive,” the lion spirit snapped.
“For real?” Tiffany raised her brow and took in her lower lips.
“Stay away from the son of Theodore,” the mountain guardian ordered.
“Son of Theodore?”
“Aiden. Stay far away from Aiden.”
“Huh,” Tiffany chuckled darkly.
“You don’t tell me who to cut off from my life. If you can’t tell me everything I need to know about myself, the reason a demon entered me, the reason… The reason I have to cut off the best person from my life… Then you have no right to tell me what to do!” Tiffany shouted shakily.
“You… I regret staking my position for a person like you,” the mountain guardian shook his head and vanished immediately.
“Were you born to be this stubborn or Akilang passed his stubbornness unto you?” The lion spirit walked towards her, placed her hand gently on her hair, and caress it slowly.
“No matter what happens, don’t forget to keep your anger in check. I am rooting for you and I believe you won’t hurt anyone,” with a smile, Chephirah said.
“I’ll take my leave,” she pulled away, flashed her a smile, and then disappeared.
“God…!” Tiffany breathed shakily.
“Where will this lead me to?” She staggered.

“What are also doing here?” The little girl asked the little boy who held her hand tightly as they both walked together.
“I came here with my friend and his daddy. I lost my way,” the little boy answered.
“How about you?”
“It is so complicated.”
“You are not going to tell me?” The boy pouted.
“I…”
“Hi, little ones!” Two huge scary men stopped in front of them.
“W… Who are you?!” The guy pouted as he allowed the little girl to cling tightly unto him.
“Just go your own way, I don’t have business with you,” one of the men said.
“They are very scary. They brought me inside this mountain and I managed to run away,” the little girl whispered to the boy.
“What did you do? Did you steal from them?”
“No.”
“Come here girl,” the man said, waving his hand at her.
“No, she will not go to you. You are a bad person!” the guy shouted.
“You should not interfere,” he said, glanced at the other man, and nodded his head at him.
As the other man walked toward the kids, the kids moved backward slowly, frightened.
“I don’t like to play hide and seek!” He got to them, pushed the boy away aggressively, and pulled the little girl closer to him.
“Now, stand up, run away, and don’t look back,” he ordered the little boy.
“I… I can’t leave my friend,” the boy shook his head as he watched his friend struggling to free himself from the big man’s grasp.
“Even after seeing this?” He withdrew a knife from his pocket.
“You are a bad person!” the boy cried.
The man who helped the little girl pushed her to the floor and walked toward the boy, scaring him with the knife in his hand.
“Leave,” he stopped in front of her, pulled him up with his hair, and pushed him away.
“Go,” the little girl cried.
“I don’t want to.”
“Go and call for help!” The girl cried.
“Go call for help before we kîll her,” the man smirked.
“Hey, he doesn’t need to go. Just finish off the two of them,” the other guy hissed and remove a cigarette from his pocket.
“That will do,” he smirked and hurriedly grab the little boy by his cloth.
He glanced at the girl who wasn’t budging a bit, she looked angry and cold at the moment.
The man swung the knife in his hand stylishly, pushed the boy to the ground, and tilted his head.
“D… don’t you dare hurt him!” he was about to stab the boy when the loud, frightening growl came out.
The boy peeped to look at what was happening and was shocked at what he saw.
As his eyes locked with the girl, her eyes turned red… Blood red and her roughly packed black hair turned into silver and fell over her shoulder.
“Don’t you dare harm my friend,” she roared, green flames coming out of her body.
He…

“Aiden! Aiden!” Declan shook him vigorously.
“Open your eyes, dude!” Declan shouted.
Aiden opened his eyes, gasped loudly, and sat up immediately ignoring the sweat dripping from his face.
“What happened?” Declan frowned.
“I… It was a dream.”
“Do you still have the same dream as before?” Declan stood up slowly, poured water from the jug into the glass cup, and handed it over to him.
“Yes,” Aiden nodded his head.
“What is the dream exactly? Why do you get tensed and scared every time you have a dream?” Declan sighed.
Aiden exhaled, turned to look at Declan, and shook his head.
“You won’t understand.”

Western high school.
Lunch break.
“Anny, are you ready?” Aiden asked for the umpteenth time.
“Yeah. Stop asking,” Tiffany rolled her eyes.
“Good, come to the lounge five minutes after I leave and do anything you can to pull him out of the lounge,” Aiden said.
“Alright,” Tiffany nodded her head and watched him hurry away.
“I wonder if their plan is going to work,” Zoey shook her head.
“It will work. With me involved,” she winked at him.
“You know how much I resent that dîckhéàd. I’ll be sure to drag him to my satisfaction.”
“Yeah, that’s so like you. Aiden gave you the perfect job,” Zoey chuckled.

DAX’S LOUNGE.
“What are you doing here?” Declan stood up as soon as Aiden walked in.
“Can’t I come in here?” Aiden tilted his head sarcastically.
“You lost the right to come here the moment you cut us off, ” Xyler twitched his mouth.
“Oh, you must have forgotten, I still have the right to be here. My mum and Declan’s dad contributed to the building of this place. Your dumb àss wasn’t around then,” Aiden smirked.
“Who cares? Huh? You left first, and that is what matters.”
“Yeah, you’re right. I’m not here to cause problems too. I left on my own accord. I’m here to pack my belongings here. Or can’t I take them?”
“Take it, and fûck off, ” Xyler snapped.
As Aiden walked towards his locker, the door of the lounge burst open and Tiffany barged in.
“She came earlier,” Aiden whispered with a smile.
“Hi, guys,” she trailed in, Zoey walking slowly behind her.
“What the fûck is going on?!” Declan yelled, pretending to be unaware of what was happening.
“I don’t have business with you, King of Dax. Hello, dickhéàd, we have scores to settle, remember?” Tiffany groaned, maintaining her cold expression.
“W… Wait, did you call me dickhèàd?!” Tyler widened his eyes.
“Yeah,” Tiffany shrugs her shoulder.
“How dare you? What the fûck is wrong with you?” Declan frowned.
“We had a bet and I won. You have to grant me a wish,” Tiffany blinked.
“But… But.”
“So, let’s go,” Tiffany waved her hand at him.
“Go to?” Xyler frowned.
“Just follow me.”
Gosh, he was going to pee.
He was scared of the girl.
Now that she was facing him directly instead of Declan, his leg was trembling.
Wait, why should he be scared of her?
He was the guy.
And besides, he needed to be strong to be able to carry out his plan on her.
“Listen. I, Xyler Tang is not scared of you. You can’t always have your ways, not with me especially. So…”
He didn’t get to finish what he was saying before Tiffany grabbed his collar.
“Don’t annoy me, and let’s go!” she gritted her teeth and began to pull him away.
“Stop!” Xyler yelled trying to free himself from the lady’s grasp.
But damn, she’s way too strong.
“Shall we begin?” Aiden smirked, as she watched Tiffany pull Xyler out of the lounge.
“Yeah,” Declan clicked his tongue.
