“I can go home from here,” Tiffany stopped walking, turn to face Aiden then removed her hand reluctantly from Aiden’s.
“Oh,” he clasped his hands together timidly.
“You live around here?” he asked, looking around.
“Mind your business. Thanks for escorting me, I’ll get going.”
“Okay, have a good night, okay?” Aiden smiled at her.
“Huh, and you too,” she nodded her head and then turned to leave.
“Anny!” Aiden shouted and she stopped walking abruptly.
“It’s late, do you have to call my name that loud?” Tiffany furrowed her brow.
“Uhm… I’m sorry. C…can I have your contact, please?” he requested nervously.
“No.”
“Please. I promise you that I won’t disturb you with calls…please.”
Even though it was dark, Tiffany could see the puppy expression the guy had worn.
“If you dare disturb me with calls, I’ll bock your number,” Tiffany frowned, stretched her hand forward while Aiden hurriedly dipped his hand in his pocket, removed his phone, unlocked it, and dropped it on her palm.
He smiled stylishly as he watched her dial her phone number on his phone then hurriedly looked away as she finished dialing the number.
“Take.”
“Thank you!” Aiden grinned as he hurriedly dialed the number and waited patiently for Tiffany’s phone to ring which rang as soon as he heard the first beep from his phone.
“Save my number, okay?”
“Okay, can I leave now?” Tiffany rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, sure,” Aiden smiled then watched her turn to leave almost immediately.
He stood on the same spot, staring at nothing but the darkness Tiffany had walked through.
Wait, what kind of street won’t have at least one street light.
“How could they let my Anny walk in the dark?”
My Anny?
Come on, Aiden, is it not too early to call her yours?
“Hehehe, beautiful Anny,” Aiden blushed at his thought and what he had just said.
How could he like her this much already?
It is just four days and he is getting fond of her already.
Whatever, he knows that what he has for the lady is real, very real.
Wait, who wouldn’t like Tiffany?
She’s beautiful, straight, fierce, cold, and curvy, name it all!
Just his type.
Okay, maybe people didn’t like her, it doesn’t matter because he was so attracted to the lady already.
Actually, he doesn’t even like fighting over a woman, isn’t it a good thing that he won’t have any problem when he starts to date her?
Okay, he’s being forward now.
Let’s wait till she also likes him back and they start to date.
Hehehe.
~
Tiffany didn’t remove her hand from her nose as she walked down the lonely, dark street.
Like hell! She couldn’t get enough of Aiden’s cologne.
The hand that he had held while he had escorted her was still smelling just like him and sniffling her hand, it felt as if the guy was still there with her.
“Fuck, I wouldn’t see him till Monday…” Tiffany bit her lower lips as the realization dawned on her.
Whatever…
Why care if they see each other or not.
But she wouldn’t lie that she didn’t enjoy the little time she spent with him.
“Shit, what the hell am I thinking?!”
She walked faster and began to sing out loud to get rid of Aiden’s thoughts that her mind had just picked on.
She hurriedly entered the corridor that led to her room, removed the bag that she had hung at her back, removed the tiny key to her padlock, opened the door, entered the room, and locked the door behind her.
“What a fucked up day!” she groaned as she lay on her mat.
As the thought of Aiden rushed inside her head, she shook her head.
“Not really fucked up.”
As she turned to pull her bag closer to remove her phone, she felt the aura she had always felt whenever those creatures come to visit her.
She sighed, not ready to talk to those creatures whose thoughts had never gone along with hers.
Why today again?
Did they come because she beat up Aiden and Declan?
No way…
If they are not blind then they should know that she was challenged by that up to no good Xyler.
“We are not blind but we seriously see no reason why you should feel challenged by those people!” the lion spirit started rather angrily.
Oops, she forgot they could read minds.
Fuck, whatever!

Aiden yawned lazily as he strolled inside his four-bedroom apartment that he was gifted by his mother’s friend on his fifteen years old birthday.
He frowned his face as he realized that his lights were turned on, he remember vividly that he had specifically switched it off when he was leaving the house
He strolled further inside and frowned as he saw the familiar back view of the guy sitting on the arm of his couch.
“What are doing here?” he walked directly to the refrigerator, opened it, grabbed mineral water, and walked toward Declan as he opened the lid of the mineral water.
“Can’t I come to visit?” Declan turned to look at him and then smirked.
“You have no right to. How did you get in?” Aiden had asked before he remembered that Declan and his housekeeper was the only one would could get access to his house without his permission.
“I know the passcode, remember?” Declan smiled as he watched Aiden gulp down the mineral water down his throat.
“Okay. I will change it. So, leave,” Aiden said.
“Would you not even ask me why I have come here even though your girlfriend pierced a knife through my shoulder,” Declan began to walk towards him.
“I don’t care why you have come here, just leave,” Aiden glared at him.
“Dude, my shoulder was stitched… damn, it was mad painful. I refused to sleep at the hospital and came to your place. I’ve visited the clinic twice a week because of that girl. You know that, right?” Declan stopped in front of him.
“I don’t care. Declan, just leave!” Aiden pushed him backward.
“I know,” Declan glanced up at the ceiling.
“What?”
“That Xyler is lying and that you are right.”
“What?” Aiden whispered, his eyes lit up.
“I know that Xyler was lying when he said that you said those things he played in the recording. I know that the recording was fake and that he probably fucked your ex-girlfriend as you had said,” Declan pressed his lips together and bowed.
“What do you mean? Why did you act like I was wrong and he was right?” Aiden frowned his face.
“That day, when he played the recording, I wanted to say that you would never do that, but I couldn’t. My curiosity wouldn’t let me, I seriously wanted to know the reason Xyler would bring up that lie. I saw that smirk he had on his face that day, he looked like he had achieved his aim. Dude, we’ve been friends for over ten years. TEN FUCKING YEARS! You don’t think I was going to let go of that just for a guy who joined us three years ago. Come on, bro!” Declan smiled and hit his shoulder playfully.
“I… I don’t trust what you are saying,” Aiden stammered.
“I…if that was the case, why didn’t you say anything when I came to the clinic where you were before the fight started?” Aiden queried.
“There was a bug in there,” Declan answered.
“W…what do you mean?” Aiden creased his brow.
“Xyler planted a bug before he went out. Right. under. my. bed,” Declan demonstrated with his hand which left Aiden still confused.
“I don’t understand anything you are talking about,” Aiden shook his head.
“I understand that it might be confusing but…”
“Yes, it is damn confusing!” Aiden moved back, running his hand through his hair.
“I think Xyler has something on us. I think he wants to ruin the relationship that we have. Maybe we’ve met him before, I am not sure. But at the clinic, he went under my bed in the pretence of picking something he had dropped. I found it suspicious, when he left, I stood up to check and I saw the bug device. I think he wanted to confirm that we really ended things,” Declan explained.
“God!” Aiden sighed.
“Let’s keep acting like this for a while, I really wanna figure out what he is up to. Can we?” Declan stared at Aiden who was still sulking.
“Fuck! To think that I ended things with you because of…”
“It is all for the best. I was going to do that to make him believe that I was with him. Don’t sulk, bro,” Declan pulled Aiden into a hug.
“I wasn’t sulking,” Aiden groaned as he hit Declan’s back.
“Let’s do this, okay?” Declan broke the hug and look into his eyes.
“Yup, we gotta expose that shitty head. But, move your face away from mine, it is damn creepy,” Aiden pushed Declan away.
“I love you, brother!” Declan screamed, pulled Aiden towards him and they both fell on the cold floor.
“Let’s sleep together tonight, okay?”
“Fuck off and say it properly!” Aiden pushed him away from him.
“How am I supposed to say it properly, let’s sleep together on the same bed!” Declan pulled him closer again.
“Fuck it, dude, are you gay!” Aiden coughed trying to pull himself from the frustrating guy.
“For your information, I love women so much. But… I wouldn’t mind being gay for you,” Declan teased.
“Fuck, who the hell is this guy?!” Aiden yelled, his face getting redder.
“It’s me, baby,” Declan laughed.
==
“What do you mean?” Tiffany frowned her face, confused.
“You can’t love that guy!” the lion spirit snapped.
“You mean Aiden?”
“Lion spirit!” the mountain guardian called out.
“You can’t face the consequences of what will happen if you love him back. Control yourself!” she snapped.
“We’re not supposed to tell her any of this! You know the rules!” the mountain guardian half yelled.
“If you haven’t left the mountain that day, none of this would have happened!” the lion guardian retorted.
“I was summoned and I explained this to you, how is it still my fault?!”
“Hey, if you guys want to fight, leave my house, please,” Tiffany drew her brows together with her hand.
“You can never love that human, Tiffany!” the lion spirit yelled.
“If you won’t give me a reason why I cannot, then mind your business,” Tiffany gritted her teeth.
“You can’t love him,” the lion spirit repeated.
“Mind your business,” Tiffany glared at her, getting pissed off for no reason.
“Tiffany, I only want the best…”
“I SAID YOU SHOULD MIND YOUR BUSINESS!”
The lion spirit and mountain turn to look at each other, then at Tiffany again.
This lady is no longer Tiffany.
She is not Tiffany for her eyes had turned red, and her voice had deepened into an echo.
“Long time no see, mountain guardian, lion spirit,” Tiffany’s lip tugged into a devilish smirk.
“No way,” the lion spirit and mountain guardian chorused as they shook their heads.
There is no way this is happening now.
No way!
