He wrapped his hand around the back of my neck and placed his cheek against mine. I felt like I was about to pass out as a result of the risky maneuver.
“What are you thinking?” said Sean Matthews with his dark, penetrating eyes as he stared down at my sagging face.
I quickly contradicted him, saying “No, no.”
After that, he headed over to the restaurant. It would seem that he skipped out on going to the firm.
I dared not go, so I remained where I was until Sean Matthews had completed his dinner. I waited there.
After waiting for twenty minutes, I was about to ask Sean Matthews if I might go back, but as the words came to my lips, I was so awestruck by his presence that I didn’t dare utter a single word.
When he went by me, I unconsciously sucked in my breath, and the tension in my nerves increased.
When i glanced up, Sean Matthews had already left the entrance of the hall, and I could only get a distant view of his tall and broad back.
After then, the chime of the car’s engine sounded, and the vehicle drove away from gold coast.
After a long sigh, my shoulders sagged helplessly as I felt powerless. It would seem that I will be required to remain in this location for another day.
Fred Moore stepped in from the outside and said, “Ms. Davis, you may go back.” Just as I was thinking that I would rush to find a method to phone Susan to ask about the kid, Fred Moore came in.
I gazed. “Are you serious? Has Mr. Matthews given his permission for me to return?”
“Yes.”
I know. Sean Matthews must have told him when he was outside just now. I was so overjoyed that I nearly got up and danced.
Run straight out and think of something, “no, I’ll get my cell phone!”
Since my mobile phone was dead for a considerable amount of time, I was unable to get in touch with Susan. I went to school at the first time. I greeted the instructor, and as I turned around, I saw that the children were deep asleep. I was relieved for a minute. Extremely content.
When I got home, the familiar environment reassured me.
And there was only a hint of milk aroma in the air.
I get the feeling that I have returned to an impregnable harbor since, with the exception of Ceres Taylor, no one knows that I reside here.
No, it’s not a harbor, but a shaky boat.
When I consider the time I spent on the Gold Coast, I continue to get palpitations in my chest.
Never again will you see me on the Gold Coast!
After plugging it in and turning it on, the phone starts receiving calls and text messages in rapid succession.
It was Ceres Taylor’s all of a sudden.
I responded with “hi… ”
“Don’t turn off the phone, even if you go to the countryside?”
Ceres Taylor asked about it.
I’m stunned. Go to the countryside? This is something that Susan and Ceres Taylor said in a casual manner.
They met?
“It is not a wise decision for you to entrust the care of your children to an unknown person. How taxing is it for you to delegate the care of five kids to an auntie who lives nearby?”
“Susan is not a stranger.”
“I am aware of that; but, can she handle five by herself?”
“She is able, and I have now returned.”
“Since you persist, I won’t be able to respond to any of your questions. Think about what I’m suggesting, “Ceres Taylor stated this before hanging up the phone before I could respond.
I can’t promise!
As long as the children are around, I can do anything
The sound of the door being opened on the outside could be heard. When I glanced up, I saw that the children had entered the room. When they first spotted me sitting on the couch, I was taken aback, and then they raced up to me with their little hands extended and said, “Mom!”
I smiled broadly and held out my hand; the children immediately leaped into my arms and flung me to the ground; the children all swarmed upon me. I was thrown to the ground.
“Are you back?”
Susan was overjoyed to see me.
“When did you come back?”
“Come back for more than an hour.”
When I got up from where I had been lying on the ground, the children were hesitant to get up and instead embraced my legs.
“Susan, you’ve been working hard recently.”
I sorry.
” Have you solved your problem?”
Asked Susan anxiously.
I answered, “It has been solved for the time being. I can’t predict what will happen in the future…”
I am unable to abandon a city. I am under Sean Matthews’s authority. The events that will take place in the future are very hard to anticipate.
My neck was encircled by Duke’s arm as he stood there. “Mother, have you completed the task at hand?”
“After finishing her shift, Mom returned back home as soon as possible. Do you miss Mom?” I asked.
“Miss!”
He made a move to open his mouth.
“Did you listen to Susan at home?”
“Yes!”
The kids responded one after the other, and they conducted themselves in a really mature manner.
The kids are running about and playing in the living room, and I can’t help but notice how content and joyful they appear as I watch them from the kitchen.
After supper, Susan headed back.
After having a bath in the evening, I went straight to bed with the children, and they were out almost immediately.
But instead, I had trouble falling or staying asleep. When I wasn’t around them, I would think about how poorly they looked and it would make my heart feel bad. Looking at their little faces and remembering how they looked made me feel bad.
In the future, I won’t abandon them again as I did before.
Susan loaded up the kids in the car and drove them to school the next morning. At home, I organized the toys that the kids play with. It was very messy.
On the desk was a cell phone that began to ring. After walking over, I checked the screen of the mobile phone and noticed an incoming call. After a moment of hesitation, I spoke out and said, “Hello?”
