Book:Ex-husband, Let Me Go Published:2024-6-2

“Forget it since you’re an imposter. I thought you’re at least going to be clean, but I didn’t expect you to be so nasty!”
Shang Yuanyuan raised her eyebrows, and the disgust and despise in her eyes were beyond words. She sneered and said, “Aunt, what kind of rotten thing did you allow to marry my cousin?”
Even Mrs. Shang stood up and looked at the hickeys on Ji Yan’s neck in surprise. She was trembling with anger.
She raised her arms and gave her a hard slap.
“Bang!”
It was a loud clapping sound.
“You b*tch, you don’t deserve to be the daughter-in-law of my Shang family! Get out of here!”
The Shang family was originally very dissatisfied when Ji Yan married into the Shang family on behalf of her sister.
This time, they came across the hickeys on Ji Yan, which made them even more furious.
Ji Yan stood by the table and felt the burning sensation on her face, but she could not say a word.
What could she explain for herself?
Could she even say that someone wanted to take advantage of her and smear her reputation because the Shang family threw her into a dark room and did nothing?
There was nowhere for her to defend herself because no one would trust her.
The whole living room’s mood became terrible.
She adjusted her breathing and then looked up.
There was a look of stubbornness in her eyes. She looked straight at Mrs. Shang, and her face was covered with a layer of frost, “Mom, I am the legitimate daughter-in-law of the Shang family. What right do you have to make me leave?”
She straightened her back and tried her best to make herself look more confident.
Mrs. Shang immediately became furious after hearing that. She flipped over the dishes on the table. Suddenly, the bowls and dishes fell to the ground and broke into pieces.
She also got smeared with the soup stains.
“What rights do I have?” Mrs. Shang pointed at her nose and sneered, “Because I am the Shang family’s hostess!”
“That’s right!”
Shang Yuanyuan chimed in, “Who do you think you are? How dare you speak to my aunt like that!”
“That’s enough!”
Shang Jinshen, who had been silent at the table all this while, suddenly shouted.
Everyone was shocked, including Ji Yan.
Her heart tightened, but she soon figured it out. They were married. Yet, he was cuckolded even before he got to touch her as her husband.
Any man would be angry over this.
However, what Shang Jinshen did next stunned her the most.
Shang Jinshen glanced at her coldly and then quickly looked at Mrs. Shang. His expression softened a lot and he said, “Mom, since Ji Yan has already married me, then she is my wife. I won’t accept anyone else anymore.”
The meaning behind his words was simple.
He added, “If you drive Ji Yan away or make us divorce, I will not marry another woman either.”
Mrs. Shang turned extremely pale, and Shang Yuanyuan thought it was unbelievable. She looked at Shang Jinshen with a ridiculous smile and said, “Cousin, your face is disfigured. Have you lost your mind too?”
“Shut up!”
Mrs. Shang glared at Shang Yuanyuan. She had long been dissatisfied with her and said, “There’s no place for you to speak here.”
Shang Yuanyuan gave a cold snort after hearing that response. Shang Jinshen also looked tired and said weakly, “Ji Yan, push me back to my room.”
Ji Yan also breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. Although she did not understand why he helped her, she thanked the heavens and gods. She finally got to avoid this drama.
She pushed him back into the room. Yet, she could still feel the sharp and uncomfortable gaze behind her.
She knew that the conflict between her and Mrs. Shang would become deeper after making such a scene.
After Ji Yan closed the door, she pushed him to the bed.
This was their first time spending time alone. Although they were newlyweds, they did not have any emotional foundation.
She had not even seen him before this day.
And this man just spoke up for her in front of her fierce mother-in-law. Ji Yan was a little moved.
Looking at his half-ruined face, she felt a little uncomfortable and forced herself not to mind it. But it was still a little awkward. “Shang Jinshen, thank… you.”
