“Yes we will Nicole, I missed you so much too,”
She said.
“You can tell me about your adventures while you were away tomorrow, I need to sleep, I have a meeting with Gavin tomorrow,”
Nicole said with a yawn, she wanted to stay up all night talking to her sister but she knew she needed sleep to be able to function well the next day, Aron’s Exhibition which had been moved to January would be her first major event at her gallery, she was going to tell him he could use it tomorrow, they were meeting for lunch, what more Grace would be around the day after tomorrow, she would be spending Christmas at her house and she wanted her to meet Natalie, she already knew Christmas would be fun and she couldn’t wait to start the new year, she went to sleep smiling.
“Good morning Natalie,”
Nicole greeted her sister the next morning when she woke up, she checked the time, and surprisingly, she slept past her alarm and didn’t even notice, she still had time so there was no need to panic.
“Hey, I wanted to wake you up but you were sleeping so peaceful,”
“Right, it’s been a while I had a good night’s sleep, what are you doing?”
She asked yawning and getting off the bed, she hardly see Natalie with her laptop and she was with it so early.
“I am writing,”
“Writing?”
“Yes, I started writing while I was away, I got so bored that I took up writing as a hobby and surprisingly, I am good at it and over the past four months my readership has increased,”
“Wow, what genre do you write?”
Nicole asked walking close to her, she never thought Natalie would have the patience for writing, she tried it one time and gave up because she couldn’t concentrate and wrote out thousands and thousands of words, it just wasn’t for her, if Natalie can have the patience to write that’s just wow, Nicole loves to read books and she wanted to try what her sister writes too.
“I don’t have a particular genre right now, I write fantasy, romance, werewolf,”
“Wow, that’s nice, even though I never for once pictured you as a writer,”
“I know right, just the same way I never thought the day will come when you are on TV, that’s like an impossible feat, the first day I saw you, I had to do a double-take, even called Mom to be sure I wasn’t seeing my old clip,”
Natalie said, Nicole had to laugh, but it was true, if someone had told her at the beginning of the year that she will be making public appearances and do so seamlessly, she would have laughed in the person’s face, just how fast the night has changed.
“I think I have always had it in me, I just needed to get out of my shell,”
“I think so too sis, and just so you know, you are slaying it and I am proud of you,”
“Same Natalie, I am proud of you too, I missed you so much, please let’s not fight again, I hated those times when we didn’t talk, o don’t want to ever experience that again,”
“It won’t happen again I promise,”
“Good, I need to go take a shower, then we will talk to Mom and Dad, they will be so happy,”
“Sure, I already told them I was going to talk to you,”
“I am so happy Natalie,”
“Me too, go shower up, Gavin is coming right?”
“Yes, I have to do some paperwork with him,”
“I know you rich woman,”
“What do you mean by that?”
She asked, she knew Natalie was teasing her and she loved it.
“Well, you own a five-star hotel, to your name, not just the hotel, you have a mansion too and millions of followers and millions in your account too, girl, you are loaded,”
“To be fair, I don’t really own the hotel and the mansion, Rafael is crazy, once he comes back to his senses he might want them back and I will give them to him, I am just going to manage it until then, it’s not even going to be me doing the management, I don’t know shit about business, I am going to try taking an online course in the New year so that I can at least understand a little, now I wish I did business like mom and dad wanted me to, to be fair I don’t like business, anyway back to the main issue, I am just holding on to those until my ex-husband gets back to his senses,”
She said. Yes, she knew one of these days, Rafael might have a rethink, he couldn’t just give away billionaires, she had checked the worth of the mansion and it was much, the hotel will be double, he couldn’t just give away that much and not have a rethink and if he does, she will willingly give everything back, the only thing she won’t give back is her baby, the gallery, once it opens in January, she would concentrate fully on building her career as an artist she plans on working with the best artist both known and unknown.
“Rafael would still hate me right?”
Natalie asked with a sigh, it changed the mood immediately.
“I don’t think so,”
“Nah, I think he does, I am the reason he ended thing with you right?”
Natalie asked in a sad tone.
“No, you are not and don’t fucking argue with me on that, you are not the reason, stop blaming everything on yourself Natalie, let’s put all the bad things behind us now, if Rafael and I were meant to be I am sure what happened wouldn’t have been enough to break us up, don’t carry the guilt of that alright?”
“I just asked, I wasn’t feeling guilty, I told you I won’t do that,”
“You better not,”
“I won’t, now go take a shower,”
“Fine, I am off,”
She said and left Natalie’s room, she quickly took her bath and got ready for the day…
