Chapter 600 : Honey, You’ll be Fine

Book:My Dear Mr. Nice Published:2024-6-2

“What happened?”
All the guests rose from their seats abruptly. Micaela and Carlos, Alba and Ernesto approached the stage anxiously.
Olivia’s face turned pale and a cold sweat broke out on her forehead. Soon, she felt faint and sat down on the floor, putting on a pained expression. Leonardo panicked and hurriedly bent down to help his girlfriend up, but Olivia, unable to hold herself, fell into his embrace and said with difficulty:
-Leo, it hurts so much…..
Julian and Yolanda gathered around, and no one noticed that the latter’s expression was extraordinarily complicated.
Olivia’s parents, and Tomas and Bianca, Antonio and Katarina sensed that something was wrong, and they all rushed on stage, too.
Leonardo instantly became nervous and asked anxiously:
-Olivia, what’s wrong? Where does it hurt?
The bride’s mother pushed her way through the crowd, saw that her daughter was covering her belly with a painful expression and that the wedding dress was stained with something red, let out a stifled scream and rushed at her as she shouted:
-My God, take my Olivia to the hospital quickly! My child, how are you so poor!
-My God, Olivia is bleeding! -Alba screamed in horror.
Leonardo was completely stunned.
“What?! Olivia’s hemorrhaging?! Olivia’s always been fine, why is she suddenly bleeding?”
Looking down at Olivia’s lower belly in disbelief, he stood in despair and immediately grabbed Olivia in his arms as he comforted her:
-Olivia, you’re going to be fine! Don’t worry, you’ll be fine!
In less than a minute, Olivia had lost consciousness from the extreme pain.
Olivia was then taken to the nearest hospital. And a group of people stood outside the emergency room, anxiously waiting.
Leonardo, who had been overjoyed with emotion, was like a rain-soaked rooster, tormented and restless.
Thinking that Olivia was already in a coma from the pain when he arrived at the hospital, Leonardo was so disoriented and distraught that Leonardo didn’t know what to do for a moment.
Today was their sweet wedding and it was all so beautiful at first….
Olivia was so thin, but she bled so much that her white dress was stained red. Just thinking about the image, Leonardo almost went crazy.
He took a deep breath, trying to force himself to calm down. Carlos patted him on the shoulder and calmed him down:
-Be calm. She needs you.
Leonardo nodded his head madly. In reality, he did not know how to and could not calm down in this situation.
Ernesto, Tomas and his wife, and Antonio and his wife arrived at the hospital, but could only wait in the hallway without being able to do anything to help.
Olivia’s mother, sitting on the bench outside the emergency room, was sobbing, and
Micaela and Alba were at her side, constantly reassuring her, although they knew that any comfort was useless.
Yolanda, as her mother-in-law, had naturally come to the hospital while her husband and some relatives were at the hotel to take care of the wedding reception.
Seeing the anxious look on her son’s and Olivia’s mother’s faces, she clenched her fists tightly.
After about half an hour, the door to the emergency room opened.
Everyone immediately rushed to the door.
Carlos took his worried Mica in his arms, and she, as if to take strength from him, put her hand around his waist and wrapped it tightly around him.
Leonardo anxiously asked the doctor about his wife:
-Doctor, is my wife well?
The doctor removed his mask and said in a somewhat heavy tone:
-The patient is not in serious condition?
Before everyone could breathe a sigh of relief, the doctor’s next words stunned everyone:
-But the baby in the patient’s womb was gone.
Before the doctor’s words, Micaela’s eyes blurred.
Leonardo, with a somber face, pushed the doctor aside and rushed into the room.
The doctor asked everyone else to wait outside, but Olivia’s mother had to get in any way she could, and the doctor could only let her in.
Olivia lay pale on the bed, her eyes closed. The nurse, who was writing something in her notebook to the side, whispered to the two who had come in:
– Now the patient is very weak. Please do not disturb her rest. And she can go to the general ward after half an hour of observation.
Olivia’s mother looked at her daughter in anguish, trying to control her sobs so as not to disturb her.
Looking at the pale-faced woman on the bed, Leonardo’s heart ached so much that he was short of breath. He touched a hand to her forehead and realized it was cold. And he took a few deep breaths and leaned down to gently kiss her forehead, his eyes closed to keep the tears from escaping.
He was anguished for Olivia and for the baby that hadn’t made it into this world.
He gently pressed his forehead against hers and murmured:
-Baby, you’ll be all right. As long as you’re okay, the baby, we’ll have it in the future…..
Olivia’s mother could not help but shed tears as she watched the scene.
Half an hour later, Olivia was transferred to a general ward.
Leonardo was by Olivia’s side at all times, his eyes full of pain.
Katarina looked at Olivia with mixed emotions. She herself had always been hoping to have a child of her own, but had never had the chance. And Olivia lost him after she had him, which should be more painful.
Carlos took Micaela in his arms and silently comforted her, knowing that his darling was also very saddened by what Olivia had suffered.
The doctor came in and said:
-The patient needs a quiet environment for bed rest. It is not good for the patient’s rest with so many people crowded in here. Please leave first and it is not too late to visit her when she is in better condition.
At the doctor’s words, most of the relatives left the room one after another. Tomas and Bianca initially wanted to stay, but Carlos told them to leave first.
The rest of the group left the hospital, leaving only Micaela, Carlos, Alba, Ernesto, Olivia’s parents, Leonardo and Yolanda.
The doctor glanced at those who remained in the room, and turned to Leonardo: -You are the patient’s husband, yes? Please come with me to my office.
Leonardo looked at Olivia, who had no sign of waking up, he did not want to leave her. Carlos held out his hand, picked him up and said:
-Come, I’ll accompany you.
Looking into Carlos’ deep eyes, Leonardo had a bad feeling. He got up, told his mother and Micaela to take good care of Olivia, and left with Carlos and the doctor.
