Brucille informed Francis regarding the departments he ought to pay attention to. Then Francis initiated the investigation on Maxwell’s important subordinates.
Tommy suddenly realized that Brucille had come quick-witted. In addition to his surprising familiarity with the structure of the company, he even knew the process of becoming a listed company.
As they drove away, he said, “Francis, looks like Brucille has been hiding his strength all this while to make others think that he’s weak.”
“I agree. There are rumors that he sleeps in a different room from his wife, but I’m pretty sure those are bullsh*t. He just didn’t want to provoke us as we are still single. Just now, Monique even gave him half of the apple that she ate. Their relationship…”
Only after Monique participated in the conversation between the three men did she know how knowledgeable her husband was. Maxwell had only hired someone to teach him a lesson, but in return Brucille schemed for him to go bankrupt.
She commented, “I never knew you were so evil.”
Brucille quickly defended himself, “How am I evil? I’m doing this for the sake of millions of stockholders. Once his company becomes listed on the market, all the stockholders’ money will go to them. For a trashy company like that, we should destroy it before it gets the chance to do anything corrupted.”
After that, Brucille grabbed her feet and took a look at her injured soles.
“Sit here. I’ll buy some medicine to treat your feet. You’ll feel better tomorrow.”
“Well, it’s up to you. I’ve already taken a week of leave anyways,” she shrugged.
When Brucille went out, Flynt and Jerry were already waiting for him at the entrance of the housing area. He walked towards a black BYD and entered it.
“Brucille, if there’s anything you need us to do, feel free to let us know,” they told him.
“Find me insider materials on the major personnel of the financial and sales departments of the Sky Tech Group. Obtain as much of their dark histories as possible. Be fast, and be more detailed, or it’ll affect my plans. ”
Jerry excitedly promised, “No worries, Brucille! One of my old classmates from university is working in this company. I will get this information with no problem.”
“Flynt, help me keep an eye on Morgan,” instructed Brucille. “It’ll be best if you can let me know where he’s going to be tonight. I want to talk to him.”
“No problem!”
Brucille got out of the car, and the two of them left in a hurry. Francis, on the other hand, left his two men to Brucille’s discretion while he himself went for a dip in the hot springs. And of course, he went there to hook up with girls.
While there was no hot spring in Brucille’s home, there was warm water. Brucille bought more than 20 different kinds of Chinese herbal medicines and boiled them in a pot for more than an hour.
Finally, he poured the dark concoction into a basin and had Monique immerse her feet in it.
Monique was not convinced by his skills. Therefore, she questioned him, “Where did you get these weird prescriptions from? The Compendium of Materia Medica?”
“Nonsense! That old man Li Shizhen didn’t teach me these things. I… learned them myself.” (Li Shizhen was an ancient Chinese herbalist from the Ming dynasty who was the author of the Compendium of Materia Medica)
Monique was reluctant to oblige. As a doctor, she didn’t think that it was a good idea to soak her injured feet in water. Instead, she would probably only have to apply some anti-inflammatory ointment onto her injuries, and it would be better in a few days.
When she first put her feet into the water, she felt a mild pain, but such pain was still tolerable to her.
Perhaps because she had experienced it before. She bit her lip and remained unmoving as Brucille washed her feet for her.
She just allowed him to touch her feet, although it felt a little itchy.
At night, Monique claimed that she wasn’t feeling well and went to bed early, so that Sabrina wouldn’t worry about her.
Meanwhile, Brucille received Flynt’s message, and went to look for Morgan at the underground city bar.
As Morgan was drinking and flirting with girls, Brucille suddenly pushed the door open and barged into his private room.
Morgan was a little surprised to see him.
“I was wondering who it was. Weren’t you seriously injured and sent to the hospital? How did you get discharged so soon?”
“Thanks to you, Mr. Huang, I got out of the hospital safe and sound.”
Brucille replied coldly.
Morgan pushed the woman beside him away and approached him with a cigar in his mouth. “Boy, did you come here for revenge? Do you think you’re capable of doing that?”
Instead of replying, Brucille grabbed his neck at lightning speed. He snatched the cigar from Morgan’s hand and pressed the cigarette butt directly against Morgan’s cheek.
Unlike a usual cigarette, the cigar was as thick as a thumb. Morgan screamed loudly as he felt the pain coming from his burning flesh.
“You b*stard! Do you want to die?” He scolded fiercely.
At his cry, Brucille decided to switch positions; he stuffed the burning part of the cigarette right into Morgan’s mouth.
Morgan’s pupils dilated instantly as his tongue burned as if it was on fire. Only when smoke started coming out of his mouth, Brucille released him.
After escaping Brucille’s grasp, Morgan quickly picked up a bottle of beer and poured it into his own mouth.
“You, you’re looking for death. Block the door, guys. I’ll be d*mned if I don’t break one of his legs tonight.”
Standing still, Brucille responded, “What I did just now is just a small lesson for you. I hope you understand your situation. Do you see this? I have a scar on my head, which has greatly affected my handsome appearance.”
“I’m not asking for much, but a handsome man like me needs at least one million yuan for plastic surgery.”
When Morgan heard the amount he wanted, he was not worried at all. Instead, he bellowed in laughter.
“Guys, tell me. He must be crazy, right? Jason, you tell me.”
The young man called Jason sported green hair and a stud on his nostril. His body was shaking as if his cerebellum couldn’t keep him balanced.
“You’re right, Mr. Hwang. This guy deserves a beating. I’ll show you the Mantis Fist I’ve learnt in the past few years. I’ll beat him up so bad that he’ll be kneeling on the ground, searching for his teeth as he begs you to let him go.”
Morgan looked at him in admiration. He didn’t expect that the scrawny Jason would know the vicious Mantis Fist, and wondered who he learnt it from.
Jason posed as a mantis and roared loudly…
However, in the next second, Brucille kicked him to the wall with a Wind-swirling Kick, and taunted, “Dear brother, I think you might have learnt from the wrong master. You look more like a grasshopper than a mantis to me.”
Jason was badly wounded.
The big man who had successfully landed an attack on Brucille’s head the previous day raised his fist. He sent a punch towards Brucille.
Yet, intercepting the man’s fist in his own open palm, Brucille twisted his arm into a braid, sending unfathomable pain through him.
The big man knelt on the ground, panting and sweating heavily as if he had just finished running a marathon.
Brucille did not worry much about the other followers at all. In the end, they were all defeated by Brucille, and laid on the ground like dead bodies.
The women in the room hid in the corner quietly like a flock of sheep in the presence of a ferocious wolf. Only two people were left standing in the room, Brucille and Morgan, who stood in front of him.
Only then did Morgan realize that he had met a strong opponent. All of a sudden, he turned around and picked up a beer bottle from the table.
Just as everyone thought that he was about to fight Brucille for his life, Morgan fell onto his knees.
“Brucille, I was blind. I didn’t know how strong you are. Please have mercy on me and let me go. I didn’t mean to harm you! I was forced to do this by Mr. Maxwell.”
