Chapter 39

“Why not?” Once again, I applied pressure, and he moaned. Even though we had just ended a few minutes before, I could feel him stiffening up inside of me. It gave me a rush of feminine power to know I could influence a man like that.
His laugh was deep and murky. He backed away from me so he could force me to sit upright. Before he rolled over me, he grabbed my ankles and pulled them up to his shoulders. The pressure of his body on my thighs brought them in toward my chest. He took hold of my wrists and pinned them to the sides of my head.
Because of the way he touched me, my pussy swelled and became moist with tears for him.
When there was suddenly a loud knock on the door, I yelled and the serenity was broken. I had just enough time to bring my legs down and yank the sheet over my body before the door opened, and Nicola wasn’t in the least bit of a hurry to roll off me.
I stared wide-eyed at Mathew as he stood at the door.
“Put the door jamb shut! “The sheet was pulled up to my chin and I yelled.
His droopy brows furrowed with concentration. “That’s my bedroom.”
I glared at him and said, “Nicola,” sternly. I assumed he’d defend me from his pal who was being too controlling.
No sign of distress could be seen on his face. Once, he nearly punched a person for grasping my arm, but now he’d let his buddy walk in on us as we were ready to make love.
He questioned his pal, “What?” without seeming angry or even somewhat irritated.
Mathew said, “I prepared breakfast”
“Come down and get warm; the sun is setting.”
When he strolled out without bothering to shut the door, I let out a little sigh of surprise.
“What the heck?” I turned to Nicola and asked. When Stun touched me in the Havard pub, you nearly tore him to shreds, but you allowed your closest buddy ogle you.
“He wasn’t staring at you sexually. He showed there to boast that he had already cooked breakfast. ”
“You know what? I’m nude,” my concern for his whereabouts stemming from my realization that my ferocious, protective guardian had vanished.
I was met with an asymmetrical grin from him. “He could hardly see your face since you had the blankets pulled up so high. It’s safe to say that Matthew won’t be touching you, Emily. Stop being so terrified of him; he’s not a threat. ”
Obviously, I was terrified of him. Mathew was even more ripped than Nicola, yet his steely black eyes betrayed a lack of compassion. Whenever I had caught him smiling, it was always at my cost.
A little more softly, Nicola whispered, “Hey.” My hand was grasped by him. Matthew was just trying to be of assistance when he frightened you yesterday. He really wanted you to realize that he had your best interests at heart when he brought you here. It is our intention to keep harm away from you. us both.”
I combed over his features, Stundying him. He gave off an air of full honesty, but I had my doubts about whether or not he had an accurate picture of his friend’s genuine character. Mathew had a shadowy quality, like it was etched into his very being. And although it was evident that Nicola despised his violent lifestyle, Mathew didn’t seem to mind it in the slightest. Probably, he did well in such an environment.
I proposed that we “go back to Havard together,”
“After, I mean,” I answered, cutting him off before he could start lecturing me again about his enemies. ” I want to go back to school as soon as it is safe to do so, and I want you to come with me if at all possible. ”
His eyes seemed to change, but the change was so brief that I thought I must have imagined it.
The back of his hand stroked my forehead in a kiss. I agree with the angel: “That sounds great!”
“Good. If that’s the case, I’d want to remain in your company. It’s okay if I miss a few days of class so long as I make an effort to catch up when I get back. Didn’t Mathew take my books with him when he kidnapped me? “Despite knowing it was exceedingly improbable, I asked.
“No, he didn’t, but I’ll get you updated copies. How do you get your course schedules? ”
“Yes. I already have the work, I just need the textbooks to follow along. I’ll ask if anybody wants to submit their class notes for me if I can send out another email to the teachers. What do you think? It was awkward to have to ask, but I didn’t think I’d be allowed online. Even though I resolved to remain without arguing, I had little faith that Mathew would let me near a computer. ”
Nicola said naturally, “Of course.”
“Simply compose your email as usual, and I’ll have Mathew send it for you. I plan on purchasing your book(s) online today. What you need may be discussed more after breakfast. ” His crooked grin was enough to make my insides flutter. Really, we need to go downstairs. If Matthew’s meal becomes cold, he gets grumpy.
As Nicola got out of bed, I followed him and rummaged through the bags of clothes he’d brought me the night before.
The look of disbelief on my face must have shown. I don’t think Matthew is the kind to be concerned about it.
“I believe you have the incorrect idea of him. As a hobby, Mathew enjoys providing tasty meals for others. That’s only one of his many interests.”
“Okay, if you insist, I conceded. Considering how little Mathew seems to care about anybody, I doubt he gives much regard to their opinions of his meals. ”
I rummaged through all of the suitcases but still couldn’t locate what I needed.
“I can’t find any underwear or bras anywhere.” My curiosity got the better of me, so I inquired.
A wolfish grin appeared on Nicola’s face. The answer is “none”
I was horrified at the prospect of my nipples showing through the sheer camisoles he had purchased for me, so I told him, “I can’t walk about without a bra.”
