Outside the ward, Dylan reached in a hurry when he heard about Alexa’s accident, but Alex held him by his collar and said, “Believe my Dylan your son is breathing till now only because he holds your name behind his name, otherwise I would have killed him already and fed him to my pets”
Dylan also knew by this time what had happened at James house and he was ashamed at this moment, Alexa was not just his daughter in law, she was like his own daughter for him.
He gently released his collar from Alex’s grab and said, “Brother-in-law Alexa is my daughter also and if a man even if he is my son could not cherish her then he doesn’t deserve her” saying Dylan left the hospital.
Everyone came and met Alexa, even Mrs. Mittal also came and thanked her for bringing Carol to hospital.
She kissed Alexa’s forehead and said before leaving, “You are very strong girl, your parents are lucky to have you”
Alexa gave a weak smile to her, many people were not allowed to be in her ward at a time, soon it was day end and Alexa kept on waiting for James but he didn’t come.
Alexa felt like her heart was crushed again and again; she thought whatever happened was just an accident but looks like James never cared for her.
She silently cried in her pillow, but she also made up her mind that she will not play the third wheel in James and Olivia’s relationship.
Alice was staying at night with Alexa in the hospital, Alex and Daniel also wanted to stay but Alice assured them that she would take care of Alexa and asked them to leave for home.
On the other side when Lucas finished his work and came back home, he directly went to his bedroom hiding the bunch of flowers behind him, which he brought for Carol.
He opened the door with excitement but all colors of his face drained when he didn’t see Carol in the bedroom.
He panicked and searched each and every room of the mansion but Carol was not anywhere, he was about to call his secretary, but his phone buzzed and it was his secretary’s call and he informed him about Alexa’s accident.
Lucas didn’t know what to do; his family was not talking to him after he walked off the aisle leaving Carol behind.
He is sure Alex would not allow him to see Alexa, he thought that he would go to the hospital when Alex was not in hospital, so he kept a few of his men to look and inform him when Alex leaves the hospital.
He also called his private detective and ordered him to look for Carol’s whereabouts.
Soon he got a call from his men in hospital informing him that Alex had left the hospital, Lucas immediately rushed to the hospital.
He walked towards Alexa’s ward; he didn’t have the courage to enter the ward when he saw Alice on the sofa.
He kept standing there and looked at sleeping Alexa for half an hour. He loved his sister the most and seeing her like this brought tears in his eyes.
He wiped his tears and was about to walk away when Alice opened the door and said, “You will not meet her?”
Lucas was startled, he turned and saw his mother standing at the door folding her hands on her chest, she continued, “I knew you will come, and that’s why I asked Alex to leave”
Lucas didn’t have any words, he was already very stressed with Carol’s disappearance and on top of that his sister was lying in the hospital bed.
He hugged Alice tightly and said, “I am sorry Mom, I am really very sorry”
Alice smiled and patted his back; he broke the hug and asked, “Mom, you are not angry with me?”
Alice smiled and said, “I would lie if I say, I am not, but the fact is you are not kid anymore and you can take decisions of your life”
Lucas nodded and they both entered Alexa’s ward, he kissed sleeping Alexa’s forehead and asked, “Mom, how did this happen?”
Alice hesitated for a moment, sensing her hesitation Lucas frowned and asked again, “Mom, who did this?”
Alice knew if the men of William’s family want to know anything they will definitely know it somehow so there’s no point in hiding it.
So she told him what Daniel had told them, Lucas was out of control, he said grinding his teeth, “How dare he harm my sister, he will have to pay for it”
Alice calmed him down and said, “Lucas, you will do nothing to him, don’t forget he is your uncle’s son”
Lucas growled, “That doesn’t give him rights to hurt my sister”
Alice sighed helplessly and said, “I know, but it’s all our fault, we didn’t knew that James will do something like this”
Alice calmed down Lucas, after some time he was ready to leave the hospital because his half mind was occupied by Carol.
He knew Carol was not in the right condition right now, and God knows where she is? How is she? He was hell worried about her.
Lucas kissed Alexa’s forehead for the last time and left her ward after hugging and thanking Alice to let him see Alexa, he was walking fast, he wanted to look for Carol, and his hands were sweating thinking if she was in some trouble.
While walking his eyes fell on a woman and that woman was none other than Mrs. Mittal and she was entering a VIP ward, he frowned.
As much as he knows Carol doesn’t have any close relative for whom her mother would stay in the hospital, he got curious, he thought as Carol is not with her, and if her mother is in some trouble so it is his responsibility as a future son-in-law to take care of her.
So he walked to the ward and was about to open the ward but before he could open the door, his eyes fell on the person who was lying on the bed, his legs froze.
He can see from the transparent glass, his Carol is lying there lifeless, he immediately wanted to enter the wards and take Carol in his arms, but he was scared of Mrs. Mittal.
